En 1987, le violoniste Reinhard Goebel et son ensemble Musica Antiqua Köln font paraître chez Archiv Produktion un disque qui rassemble les six Concertos Brandebourgeois de Jean-Sébastien Bach. Une interprétation très souple, inspirée et pleine de vivacité.

Chouchane Siranossian est aujourd'hui l'une des grandes voix du violon en Europe, et singulièrement celle du violon baroque. La jeune violoniste qui nous confiera ne pas pouvoir se souvenir du moment où elle a commencé à étudier le violon, tant la Musique a toujours fait partie de sa vie. Son père, chef d'orchestre, était un ami du grand violoniste Tibor Varga. Un artiste avec qui la jeune violoniste étudiera jusqu'à l'âge de 14 ans. Elle rejoindra ensuite le Conservatoire de Lyon, où elle travaillera avec Pavel Vernikov. Elle rejoindra enfin Zakhar Bron à la Musikhochschule de Zürich où elle obtient son diplôme de soliste en 2007 avec les plus hautes distinctions. Peu après, elle devient premier violon solo de l'Orchestre Symphonique de St Gall (Suisse). Et c'est le Directeur musical de cet Orchestre de Saint Gall, David Stern qui l'incitera à rencontrer le violoniste Reinhard Goebel. C'est ce grand musicien (ndlr. : violoniste), fondateur de l'ensemble Musica Antiqua Köln en 1973, qui lui mettra le pied à l'étrier du violon baroque, une rencontre fondamentale dans le parcours de notre invitée. Car rencontrer une personnalité comme Reinhard Goebel, revient à ouvrir grand les portes de tout l'univers de la Musique ancienne. " Avec Reinhard... ", nous dira la jeune violoniste " Nous n'avons pas spécialement travaillé l'instrument, mais plutôt des livres, des manuscrits... Nous avons finalement davantage fait de la musicologie, que du violon. Reinhard Goebel est un homme extrêmement inspirant, et érudit. J'avais 24 ans, quand je l'ai rencontré, et alors que j'avais ce très beau et prestigieux poste de 1er violon solo à l'Orchestre de St Gall, j'ai décidé de l'abandonner pour me consacrer exclusivement au violon baroque. Pendant une année entière, nous nous sommes exclusivement consacrés aux sources. Et c'est seulement après cette année de recherches, que Reinhard Goebel m'a dit que je pouvais maintenant commencer à jouer un violon baroque ". Etonnamment, c'est ce même Reinhard Goebel qui m'a incité, - 6 ans plus tard, alors que je m'apprêtais à enregistrer mon 1er disque -, à ne pas enregistrer que du répertoire baroque, mais aussi du répertoire contemporain au violon moderne. Montre-leur qu'on peut faire les deux simultanément, m'a confié le grand Maître allemand. " Depuis lors, Chouchane Siranossian est l'une de ces rares artistes (ndlr. : à l'instar d'Isabelle Faust) qui jouent de manière aussi convaincante le répertoire baroque, sur instrument d'époque, que le répertoire plus tardif, voire contemporain sur violon moderne. Outre la rencontre avec Reinhard Goebel, celle avec le pianiste et chef d'orchestre belge Jos Van Immerseel lui donnera l'occasion de réaliser des très passionnants enregistrements. Nous l'entendrons ainsi dans des Sonates de Pietro Locatelli et Jean-Marie Leclair, extraites de l'album "L'ange et le Diable" chez ALPHA, avec Jos Van Immerseel au clavecin. Toujours avec le musicien belge, nous l'entendrons avec lui, à la baguette de son ensemble Anima Eterna dans le "Tzigane" de Maurice Ravel, en public. Ce qui est passionnant dans cette version, c'est que Chouchane Siranossian a tenu à monter des cordes en boyau sur son violon moderne. C'est par ailleurs ces cordes en boyau qu'on utilisera jusqu'en... 1945 ! "Une fois que vous vous êtes intéressée aux sources... ", nous rappellera la violoniste française " Ce que font tous les musiciens qui pratiquent la musique ancienne, vous ne pouvez plus vous départir de ce désir de vérité, dans quel que répertoire que ce soit ! " C'est dans ce même esprit qu'elle a enregistré le Concerto pour violon de Mendelssohn avec Jakob Lehmann, à la tête de l'ensemble Anima Eterna. Dans cet enregistrement, le chef Jakob Lehmann et elles se sont intéressés à la 1ère version de ce Concerto, celle de 1844, qu'on n'entend plus jamais. Enfin, il serait injuste de ne pas mentionner ici son dernier enregistrement, paru chez ALPHA en mars 2020, et...
