H1-S2 full 00:00 you 00:13 All welcome back to the program. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Robert in Blue Ridge. How you doing, Doing well, how are you? I'm great. What's up, man? 00:24 i'm hearing lindsey graham spent eighteen million and advertising to get a job that's going to play one hundred and seventy four thousand dollars a year can you please explain that made because i just can't agree that don't make a whole lot of sense does it that doesn't seem like a good return on investment to me i in fact i heard it was more like i was saying one per one person said they do you spend twenty seven million 00:49 I that's a lot of money. I can't buy them, Liz. I can't either. I appreciate it, Robert. Thank you very, very much. But you folks in Greenville and Spartanburg, and my listeners here, you can take something away from this, that you were the only folks in the state of South Carolina to say no to Lindsey Graham. You said, nah, baby, nah. We don't want your 01:19 Little Mermaid, Bubble Wand, Toton Self to be our Senator. In Spartanburg County, Mark Lynch won with 43 % of the vote. Lindsey Graham got 41. Greenville County, Mark Lynch got 44.89 % of the vote. Lindsey Graham got 40 % of the vote. Lindsey won in every, let me just, oh, yeah, look at this. 01:43 Yeah, Lindsey Graham winning big down in Charleston. You go to Berkeley County, Lindsey Graham winning huge there. Let's go to Lexington County, Lindsey Graham winning big there, 61%. Richland County, 63%. Let's just take a look. I mean, just go up to Cherokee. Lindsey got 52. Pickens County. Wait, this is what gets me. Pickens County. 02:11 You guys showed up and booed Lindsey Graham practically off the stage. 02:18 Right there in downtown Pickens. 02:24 And then you turn around and vote for them with 45 % of the vote. I don't get it. don't get it. Oconee County, Lindsay 51%, York County, 48, Lancaster County, 61%. I don't get it. I promise you, I don't get that. I really don't. We need change. Well, just vote for the same old guy. We appreciate that. So, I mean, that to me. 02:54 That to me is amazing. It really is. So we got six more years of Lindsey Graham, eight actually, um so to speak. Well, six and a half. um 03:08 More years of Lindy Graham. 03:12 And as much as he has, and I can't understand why people can't see it when he does it. That's the only thing. Maybe people aren't just paying attention. But Lindsey Graham will stab Donald Trump in the back. He did it just a few weeks ago with the Iran deal. Talking about how the Iran deal was bad and was going to be a victory for the Iranians. And even Donald Trump had to come out with a statement saying, you people don't even know what the deal is and you're out there talking bad about it. 03:43 If Lindsey Graham 03:47 were in any other position in the Senate, I don't think Trump would have endorsed him. I really don't. I don't think Trump would have endorsed him. But right now he's head of the Budget Committee, and he will probably be once again head of the Senate Judiciary Committee. um If he beats Dr. Annie Andrews, we'll see. But Lindsey Graham right now to Donald Trump is a necessary evil. 04:15 And I'm going to stick by my prediction that he wins this thing in November. He's going to turn on Trump. Let's go to Doug in Simpsonville. Doug, welcome. Hey, nice talking to you again. I just want to thank Word 98.9 because I think if it wasn't for you guys, ah Lindsey would have won in Greenville. ah Maybe. 04:44 You've been putting out the word, uh well, literally. anyway, I just wanted to give a tip to the hat to the whole team. Well, I appreciate that. Thank you. I wish you covered all of South Carolina. And I know some callers have come in and said, hey, King, just uh link your coverage to some other cell towers or something. I wish it was an easy solution. uh 05:14 hey i have i have disagreements with you sometimes with care etc but i'm nine percent of the issues uh... uh the ... 581 Wed, 10 Jun 2026 19:33:00 +0000 kzYxxHikjOv3kjk0Pw8cJbHLjFSJSkPg news The Charlie James Show Podcast news H1-S2 The Charlie James Show originates from News/Talk 989 WORD, The Upstate's #1 Talk Station, weekdays 3-7pm. H3-S2 full 00:14 I just go to Willie from Anderson. How you doing Willie? 00:19 Hey, how you doing? I'm doing good, man. What's up? When I went to vote a couple hours ago at 325 department down near where I live, near Rand High School, the guy running against April Cromer and a guy who was a friend of April Cromer were out front shaking hands with voters as they went inside and introducing themselves. 00:47 Is that legal or not? guess it is. Believe it or not, that's legal. Candidates can stand outside the polling place. I'd never seen that before. It's crazy. I know you can't have a sign. You can't have a t-shirt. You can't say, hey, vote for me. But you can say, hey, I'm running here and I appreciate you coming out. Well, look, one other question. Yeah. Did Bill Frady have Lindsey Graham on his show a couple of days ago? 01:15 A couple of days ago, don't know. Somebody would have to remind me about that, but he has had them on before. I think I've heard him and I get, you know, I had places to go. Yeah. So I think, but it sounded like Lindsey Graham. And have you ever tried to pull that off? Say what? 01:35 Have you ever tried to pull that off and get Lindsey on your show? Lindsey, Lindsey, I've had Lindsey on my show down in Charleston, but we had a bit of a falling out because he's a rhino and he just refuses to come on the show anymore because I asked him hard questions. I can't believe you had a falling out with Lindsey Graham. know, right? Go figure. Go figure. I appreciate it, Willie. Thank you very much. Let's go to Matthew in Greenville. Matthew, welcome. Hey, Charlie. 02:05 Hey, I was, um, got out my polling place down here in Robert Cashin Elementary, uh pork shoulder road and, uh, two things. I went in, gave my ID, confirmed my address. I noticed on the, on the table, they have you sign your name for whatever political party you go for. Yeah. And at this particular place, I saw there was three lines. They had a stack of maybe 15, no, about 10 plus of a hundred plus names. 02:34 of republican and only like two or three of democrats are about that would be turnout yeah definitely and then what i finally went to go bow i put all my votes and i hit print on my machine and my machine malfunctioned uh... and uh... it was a big red alert it said here please contact uh... voting official election official and waited about twenty minutes they're trying to get a hold of the clerk uh... he eventually came and had to open it up decommissioned and had to manually pull out my 03:04 my voter card and then we walked to the scanner and he said, well, hopefully this scans through so your vote can count. And I was like, yeah, I hope so. Yeah, hopefully. Did it, but did it say your vote was recorded? Yeah, it did at the end. Yep. And I got my sticker. So I'm for it today. There you go. I appreciate it, Matthew. Thank you. Let's go to Carl Engafne. Carl, what's going on with you? Hey, how are doing, Charlie? Doing good. What's up? I greatly appreciate. 03:32 what you, you know, WRD has done with, you know, the candidates and whatnot. But one thing I listened to most of those town hall things, but what bothered me is I don't know. Maybe you did, but I don't remember. To me, the most crucial question to ask each candidate is whether you're going to try to deputize local law enforcement to help ice out because that is the number one issue is this illegal immigration, particularly in the upstate. 04:02 Um, I work in manufacturing and, know, 10, 20 years ago, you could go out and get a manufacturing job, you know, pretty good pay, but as Tara has pointed out many times, some of these jobs, the pay is lower now than it was 10 years ago. Yeah. For some of these jobs. it's because, and I believe me, I work in it. So I see them almost everyone I work with is Spanish. They all speak. Most of them are illegals. from, and they're not just from Mexico. H3-S1 full 00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Greg in Fountain Inn. How you doing, Greg? Hey, good afternoon, Charlie. I got a question, a question slash comment. Maybe your listeners know the answer to. But back in January of this year, my neighbor received a package from Amazon delivery. Right. And that was back in January. Well, about 00:29 Four days ago, she received a letter from an attorney here locally saying that she was being sued by the Amazon driver. The Amazon driver apparently fell in her driveway and got hurt, her hip. Well, it turns out that she was not actually an employee of Amazon, but she was a subcontractor. 01:00 So does that mean that all of us who accept Amazon delivery packages are susceptible to being sued if one of these drivers comes on our property? That's a scary thought. If she was a true Amazon employee, she would be covered under Amazon's workers' contract. But she would imagine that if you were a subcontractor, you would have to have some sort of insurance, right? 01:30 Yeah, you would think, but my elderly neighbor is being sued by this lady. uh And my elderly neighbor didn't know there was an incident. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. So your elderly neighbor, she work? Is she always there? No, she wasn't home supposedly when this happened. uh But she didn't know anything about this. 01:58 until three or four days ago when she got this letter from a local lawyer. Is it a reputable lawyer? 02:07 I don't I can't answer that. don't know. But you know, what does that open us up to? You know, if we get a package from Amazon, you know, we don't know who's delivering it. We assume it's Amazon who has insurance. You would think, you would think that if you were a delivery driver, then 02:34 You take on the burden of responsibility for whatever happens on that property. Was there a huge hole? there a ditch? I don't even know. There wasn't. They just fell. Yes. It was a concrete driveway and a concrete walkway to the porch. ah It was in January. I don't know if it was an ice issue. Yeah, right. It could have been. 03:02 I'm just, I just wanted everybody to be aware that when you get a Amazon delivery, you know, if it's not a true Amazon employee, that means it's a sub. Yeah. And evidently they don't require their subs to carry workman's comp or, know, whatever it is. That's crazy. Now I do see that a lot. I do see some vehicles that just have like an Amazon magnetic sticker on the side of the truck. You know, you get your ones from Amazon, get that, but that's, 03:32 Good grief, Greg. I appreciate you letting us know about that. Let's see if anybody else knows anything about it. I appreciate it, Stay in touch with me. Thank you very much. So if anybody knows anything about that, please let us know. Because if this woman is allowed to be sued, 03:53 Isn't anybody allowed to be sued? I mean, and would not that open up a whole can of worms for scams and fraud going on? Now, but I would think if you go to work and I have seen these cabs, here's the weird thing. I've seen these cabs. Have you guys seen these? It says yellow cab. It literally says on the taxi, yellow cab. And then in letters, it says, 04:22 driver is not an employee of yellow cab. I thought, why are you? All right. Anyway, let's go to Brian in Landrum. Brian, welcome. Good afternoon. How are you? I'm good. What's up? Hey, I was going to tell you, um I don't know the complete legalities behind it, but I didn't put up any no trespassing or any kind of signs like that on my property. Mine just plainly says, enter at your own risk. So when you do that, you're assuming the risk. 04:52 of coming on my property. There's several items that may or may not be on the property that would prevent you from safely arriving or leaving. Gotcha, yeah. You are assuming the risk of coming on my property. Thank you, Chris. I appreciate it, buddy. No, I'm sorry. Thank you. Now, let's see if we're going to Chris. 00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:27 For spacious skies, for amber waves of 00:37 For purple mountain majesties. 00:59 share his grace on thee. 01:12 from sea to shining sea. America is back. Yes sir. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Ralph in Duncan. Ralph, are you out there in traffic, man? 01:33 Ralph are you there? Oh Ralph is gone now. Sorry about that Ralph. Alright so, okay. 01:39 We have a state legislature that does a lot of stuff. 01:47 that we don't know about. They vote on a lot of things that we have no idea what, and all of these things affect us on a daily basis. And rarely are they for the common good. oh Now, I've been telling you to get in touch with your state legislators. I had a couple of people do that last week and that was fantastic. We got one bill put on hold at least, we got another one uh maybe killed. 02:17 But when you call your state legislator, especially the slimier ones, and you know the ones I'm talking about, they're obvious, they've got slime on them. When you call them, there's a little trick that they like to play on you. So if you say, this is Charlie James from Greenville, and I want you to vote no on House Bill 5071. Oh. 02:46 Well, what's wrong with House Bill 5071? That's what they'll ask you. So they'll answer your question, or they will throw a question back at you. 02:57 What you need to do is counter that with, don't you tell me what's good about it? Tell me how it actually helps reduce spending in South Carolina. Tell me how that reduces taxes. Tell me how that reduces bureaucracy. Tell me that how that reduces corruption in Columbia. So this bill, this transportation bill, by the way, Ralph is back. He's out there. Ralph, welcome. 03:26 How are you. I'm better than I do. All right, man. What's up. Well, you were mentioning about the young women, girls and their identity is just that it's too they're given the wrong people to look at. Yeah. For their identity. Wrong role models. Talking to talking to a guy today, he said, is an 11 year old mentioned. 03:54 something about, oh, I like her. said, she said, Ralph, I didn't address it. He said, well, baby, you might like her or him or whatever, but all you need to focus on right now is your school. Yeah. That's what you need to like your books. He said, I didn't even address that. Well, later on a few years later, guess what? She likes a boy now. Yeah, exactly. By not making it a big issue. Right. 04:23 And I'm going to tell you, where else can you put earrings in your face, Charlie? I think we've got all of that covered. I mean, everywhere that you can. Your your your eyes. Your cheeks, your chin. cheeks. Yeah. I mean, it'll stop once. 04:46 Yeah, might be right. Exactly. Ralph, I appreciate it, buddy. Thank you. Exactly right. Let's get back to our state legislature because they're a joke. They really are. So we've been screaming here in South Carolina for what? 20 years now. That we want our primaries closed. What have they done about it? We've had three different bills, three different bills, by the way. um 05:15 Drew McKissick, you said you were going to sue the state if they didn't do something about closing the primaries. I haven't heard anything about a lawsuit. Okay? So we've had three bills to close the primaries because we know for a fact 05:38 that the Democrats are crossing over party lines and voting in our primaries to try to get their candidates in. 05:50 And it's going on really big in the 117, down in Berkeley County. As a young girl, a 32 years old, her name is Ashley Painter. She is actively calling for Democrats to vote for a weaker candidate than Josiah Magnuson in that primary down there, or is it Jordan Pace? 06:16 No, it's Josiah Magnuson she's going up against. So she's running in the 117th, she ...

00:04 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line and talk to Gerald in Calpens. How you doing, Gerald? Hi, my brother. Hey, Charlie, find you some local honey that's got the cone in it. Right. And eat that cone and it will deter all this coughing and sneezing. All right. Well, we will certainly see. I've heard that a lot, Gerald. I appreciate it. But I've never really found that to work for me. But a lot of people say it works for them. 00:33 okay there was a big verdict today there was a lawsuit against google and madham youtube uh... and once you listen to this this is from fox news jury awards three million dollars in damages decay lead g m now this was a a single plaintiff case as opposed to the new mexico one uh... which was sort of a more generalized case which was five thousand dollar penalty per violation adding up to three hundred seventy five million so this is a single uh... 01:03 Award of damages meta apparently liable for 70 % of the damages which would leave 30 % to YouTube So a three million dollar award for Kaylee GM. oh How does that strike you Josh? 01:17 Well, as far as writing checks for these two huge multi-billion dollar companies, it's nothing. But it's huge as far as what it means for all of the other plaintiffs. This is now blood in the water. Yeah, it is blood in water. You're going to see a lot more of these lawsuits coming. So three million dollars was the verdict against Google and Metta. Oh, do you know how much? 01:47 Meta is worth. 01:50 Are you ready for this? Well, let's start with Google. Do know how much Google is worth? $1.7 trillion. $1.7 trillion. So what percentage of that is $3 million in this verdict? Are you ready? It is 0.000. 02:25 0.00018%. It is less than two ten-thousandths of a percent. Good gracious. I'd be like, yeah. Oh, how much? Three million? Yeah, I got that on me, man. Let me, yeah, hold on. Let me get out there. Here you go. One, two, there's three million dollars. There you go. 0.00018%. Round it up a little bit. 02:51 That's that is some serious cash right there that these people have. Let's go to Dean and cash. Dean welcome Sir, how are you? Charlie not bad, not bad. Listen, I just wanted to. Today I heard a comment, a quote about uh fighting that you reminded me of. And when you said making people quit. You're not. 03:20 you're right yeah yeah comment it was about someone talking about the purging goal and they said that you know how many mine it takes to make a minefield none so it is what you're talking about yeah you're right on and also i would say in the last day people will have itching ears 03:50 And there are pastors of very good churches in the upstate who are no longer there because not that they were dogmatic about it, but they just brought up subjects that made people annoy us. Yeah. they're not there. Yeah. You're absolutely right. Thank you for what you do. I appreciate it, Dean. Yes. I think churches are places where you should wear steel-toed boots. 04:20 in case you get them stepped on. So somebody takes to me this. um Let me see here. Charlie, this is a numbers issue and an economic issue. The independent voter, which were the swing state, which is where the swing states win, is winnable. But the bombastic rhetoric from the MAGA needs to stop. But insulting them on your show or from President Trump is not working. 04:47 and the grocery store prices are still high. I vote R no matter what, but what I hear my friends, let me tell you something. Here's what you sound like to me. You sound like one of those go along to get along. 05:02 That's what you sound like. We have the single greatest opportunity. 05:10 Well, I know at least two generations or two decades, at least two decades, to defeat the Democrats soundly in the midterms. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Ken and Nebo. Ken, how you doing? I'm doing fine today. Hope you are. Yes, sir. Taking a call. Yeah. Really quick. Is an unaffiliated voter? There's no there's no other radio stations to call. There's not a Democratic. 01:51 call in show, of course, for obvious reasons. uh uh, you know, I don't never call in to uh aim or arm or disarm or anything. It's so cool to call in with my independent opinion. And, uh, that's what brings me to calling into today is, on the TSA, I haven't heard the question asked yet. And there are 20 airports in this country. The airlines or the airports supply their own security. And I think they, the airlines. 02:20 are big enough to support that kind of change. 00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:27 For spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties. 00:59 share his grace on thee. 01:21 America is back. Yes, sir. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Doug in Columbus about Charleston. disagrees with me. Doug, what's on your mind? Hey, good afternoon. Yes, sir. I lived in the Mount Pleasant area north of the city of Charleston for 33 years. Recently moved 01:41 Columbus retired, by the way. um And I disagree with your comment about there must be something that's gone wrong in people's lives for them to want to move to Charleston. Now, I know that you lived there for a while and you like six, eight years ago, whatever it is, but people don't flood into an area unless there's opportunity and jobs. And so I'm going to name a couple that I'm sure you're familiar with. 02:10 Yep. Boeing, Volvo, NewCorp Steel, Mercedes-Benz, the medical university. Every hospital chain down there is expanding and it's all based on population coming in. Now that's not to say that there aren't problems, but my biggest problem and the biggest reason I left Mount Pleasant is that my lifestyle changed, the traffic was heavy and I retired. 02:37 Yeah, and they weren't able to keep up with that. when you look at it now, I understand all of those industries you're talking about, and that's a lot of people. A lot of those are over in Somerville, North Charleston area, the nicer places, places like that. But if you get downtown, and that is just that is from my 10 years of experience of living in Charleston, that those people, by and large, that went to Charleston not for a job, 03:07 not because they had a job but the people that that i met that were there they were running away from something it's a great place to run away to but unfortunately they took their problems with them well i i didn't meet a lot of people downtown i built houses for thirty seven almost thirty three years more like twenty seven construction so i met people that moved there from all over the united states right 03:34 um Now, I will say that the volume of high-rise buildings in the downtown area has gotten absolutely ridiculous. Yeah. And I disagree with it. I'm not inclined to stand in the way of progress, but it's just like any other um popular place, whether it's a restaurant, a college uh that is 04:03 popular for a lot of reasons and people are drawn to it. Now, I'd like to add that it's been my experience just through watching the local news that the crime rate in the Greenville-Spartanburg area is, in my opinion, potentially twice what it was in the Charleston area. I don't know how many people live in the Greenville-Spartanburg area. I can guess that in the Metro Charleston area, there's at least a half a million now. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe over. 04:32 I'm pretty shocked at the amount of shootings and carjackings that hit the news here every single day. Well, see, that's ... I'll tell you why, Doug, because those things make news here. How many shootings do they have down in North Charleston? That's just a daily occurrence down there. That doesn't even make the news. Well, yeah, it does. No, it doesn't. 04:59 if you listen to talk radio down there or or if you're what's all we would want to radio down there it's been a while since i've uh... paid attention to it but there is none up night well used to be when i left three years ago there was three years ago what station did you listen to down there i think it was uh... i mean i can't remember that letters but it was there was ninety four point something or not three points they don't have a local talk show anymore 05:28 Well, okay. Neither does the other one. They've got nothing down there. But let's get back to what you talked about, about the skyline, about t ...

00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line, but talk to Fred in Easley. How you doing, Fred? Hey, Charlie, got a quick question to ask you. All right. Back in 2020, my wife and myself, well, I renewed our driver's license and got the real ID and all that sort of thing with all the paperwork. Right. Will this save act require us to go back through that same process again? No. To vote? Yeah. No. No, you're good to go. 00:30 You're registered, you're already registered to right? Right. Yeah, no, you're good to go. Okay. With all the talk going on out there, gets a little confusing sometimes. And that's what the Democrats want to try to do is they want to try to make it confusing. They want to make it sound like every time you go vote, you got to show all of that. No, all of that stuff is just for people who are registering to vote. Anybody that's new registering. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. 00:58 And if you've got a real ID, you've basically shown all of that information to him. Correct. So yeah, no, you're good to go, Fred. Thank you very much, Charlie. Have a good day. I appreciate it. You too. Let's go to Mark in Hendersonville. Mark, welcome. Hey, Charlie. First time caller. You get the bell. There you go. What's up, man? I think President Trump should pull a page right out of the Democrats playbook. He ought to make it. 01:29 make a public statement that if any illegal goes and registers as a Republican and votes Republican, he will give them their citizenship on the spot. Don't you think that would make the Democrats nap to attention and go, oh no, we cannot have illegals here at all. Yeah. yeah. They'd be shut it down. Shut it down. Shut it down. Yep. You're right. That's a great idea, Mark. I appreciate it, buddy. Yeah. Let's do that. 01:59 Any illegal alien that registers out of the Republican, I think that's very funny. Let's go to Ray and Clinton. Ray, welcome. Thanks for taking my call, During the week, I heard something about, due to the amount of electricity that is going to be used for all these IT projects, that somebody's suggesting that we use the energy of the earth. 02:27 the geothermal energy to make the electricity to do the things they want to do. But I'll tell you something, when I was in engineering school in New Jersey, we were given grants to find out how to desalinate water. of course we looked at everything to make the electricity to use electricity. 02:56 to split the water to make clean water. But what happened was somebody came up with the idea that while we use the spin of the earth and the heat in the earth to make the electricity, well, we had people on the board of NASA that were working on the moon shots when I was going there. And they said, you can't do that. 03:25 If you take the energy out of the earth, the earth has to slow down. That means our day would get shorter and all the plant life would take a bath from not doing its thing. Cause there's no energy coming from the sun. The sun can't replenish it as fast as you can take it out. don't even understand how they would do it. I don't know Ray, you're way over my head with all of that engineering stuff. I have no idea. 03:54 But again, these AI centers, they're using a lot of energy. know that. And what we did come up with a good point. I mean, we haven't even come up with an economical way to desalinate water. I mean, it can be done, but these desalination plants are, I mean, they're highly technical. So there you go. Well, what we're really concerned about here in the United States is making sure that we get that SAVE Act passed. And of course, everybody over on the left is trying to 04:24 Like I said, this is the lowest bar, lowest bar you could set for anything. I told you earlier today that if you want to recycle a thousand pounds of uh aluminum cans in Connecticut, you have to show your ID. But to vote? No, no, that's okay. That's asking too much. I want you to listen to Morning Joe and what he said about his b ...

00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line with Tato Robert in Mills River. Robert, what's going on with you this afternoon? Robert, pull the phone away from your mouth a little bit. Pull the phone away. Robert, are you there? Yeah, pull the phone away from your mouth a little bit. 00:30 All right, go ahead. I'm sorry, Robert, I am terribly sorry. You're going to have to call back. just I could not understand a word you were saying there. Well, Canada, all these people that were, you and I always noticed you ever notice these people that are so against Donald Trump when they want to move? None of them ever moved to Mexico. Did you ever notice that they don't move to Mexico? They always talk about going to Canada or 01:00 Ellen DeGeneres, she went over to England, but now I hear she's coming back. Rosie O'Donnell went over to Ireland. She was so miserable over there. She's looking at coming back. 01:13 Listen, if you are a Democrat and you are miserable in the United States, understand something. You're going to be miserable everywhere you go. I remember there was uh a Adam Sandler uh skit over on Saturday Night Live and he was talking about what an Italian, it was like one of those Italian tours, like. 01:41 I'm going to tell you what these Italian tours will not do for you. They will not make you a better person. If you were miserable where you are, you're going to be just as miserable in Italy. It was a very, very funny, but that's it. It's not the country that's making them miserable. It's not Donald Trump that's making them miserable. They're just miserable. That's who they are. 02:08 So they're be just, and I haven't seen anybody that moved to Canada and went, we love it here, it's awesome. No, because it's not. Because Canada's got some real problems. Their economy is in the toilet. So they had a chance in Canada to sign a $40 billion deal with Japan for oil. $40 billion. 02:38 but they blew it. And I'll tell you how coming up in just a second. So where did Japan go for their oil? Well, they went to the Oval Office and President Trump has just signed a deal with Japan. It is a $56 billion energy deal with the United States, bypassing 03:02 Canada's oil and gas. 03:06 Completely, but we are now. 03:10 Japan's largest source for energy in a $56 billion deal. Now, you had old Mark Carney up in Canada. He blew that deal because he was talking about the low-risk oil and natural gas. are low-risk producers of oil. We are low-risk producers of natural gas. We're reliable. can produce. We're in jurisdictions where 03:39 what we produce will go to market uh... and we can deliver it uh... to market and that that is a contribution in a world which is lost in effect in the oil case fifteen percent potential we are low risk as far as carbon is concerned well that didn't get you that forty billion dollar deal with japan did it so japan had originally gone to true dough for a deal they're looking at your dough ah 04:10 So Trudeau, not even making this up, he tried to talk them literally out of the deal. 04:23 Trudeau in Canada wanted them to look into alternative forms of energy. 04:32 Instead of getting their energy from Trudeau, from Canada, Trudeau said, hey, you guys ever think about windmills? You guys ever think about, you know, solar or anything like that? You guys ever think about that? You're good. So way to go, Canada. You just blew a 56. Well, you blew a 40 billion dollar deal. We got a 56 billion dollar deal. Charlie, some people aren't happy. 05:02 unless they're miserable. You're exactly right. 05:07 I used to teach a class in Sunday school where I would ask everybody in the class, I'd say, right, I'd say, don't want you to raise your hand. 05:20 But I want to know, and just answer me silently because I already know the answer, answer me silently who in here has a chemical addiction? 05:32 Who in here has a chemical addiction? 05:36 and you'd see them. Matt, how are you? Good. How are you, Charlie? I'm fantastic. What's up, buddy? Hey, I was just going to be the pessimist here about the SAVE Act and predict that absolutely nothing is going to happen. They're not going to pass the bill. Right. They're not going to change the rules in the Senate. 01:55 And I think the big reason is, is more than anything else, senators want to be relevant. And they say when you're in the minority in the house, you might as well not even go to work. Yeah. In the Senate, they, they gotta, you know, they keep the filibuster there because no matter who's in power, I'm still relevant. If I'm in the majority, I'm relevant. And if I'm in the minority, they got to get past a filibuster. Yeah. 02:24 and they're never going to change the speaking rules on a filibuster for a real simple reason. When they got rid of it back in the 70s, you know, actually having to speechify. Right, right. ah When they got rid of it back in the 70s, there was no C-span. Can you imagine the blowback if... 02:49 Senator Scott got up there and started reading the Charleston phone book My god, the the country's head would explode. Yeah, I might be wonderful But he but you know Matt here because they can change the rules, Yeah, they can change rules. It's a so emotional thing. It's right So why don't they make it to where if you have to stand up and vote or I stand up and filibuster? 03:17 Why don't they pass a rule where all of your debate has to be directly related to the topic? 03:24 Well, because it's not going to look good on TV. You're right. I? And I really think it's just that simple. Yeah. I don't blame. If just gets up there and drones on and on, even the people whose party he's in are going to go, dude, you know, take the loss and go on to something else. Yeah. Yeah. But now, now you just roll over and... 03:52 I wonder who was in power when they passed that rule change. I I bet it'd be a good thing to look it were all for it because it gave them all cover on what I was talking about. Yeah, you're exactly right. They in the mirror and say, good morning, Mr. President. that's right. That's why they do it and they're not going to change. And somebody called in earlier today and said we ought to do away with the 17th Amendment. 04:21 and I couldn't agree more, it would make the legislature in Columbia matter. Right now, they can sit down there and do whatever they want because nobody pays attention to them. Right. But if you push that back down to the legislature, I think in a way, it actually gets closer to the people. That's my two cents worth. You're right. I appreciate it, Matt. Thank you. What Matt was talking about is what does a Democrat or what does a senator say every morning when he looks in the mirror? 04:50 Good morning, Mr. President. Yeah, that's really that's way they feel. That's why they feel. I saw a thing the other day where Susan Collins said when she was first running for the Senate that she was only going to serve two terms. But it was that been 30 years ago, something like that. Yeah. Well, all right. And yes, there was a test vote that was just held in the Senate. I'll tell you about that coming up in just a second. But let's move a little closer to home right now down in Columbia. 05:19 um That budget that was passed by the House, that bloated, hideous budget that they gave us, that is actually going to raise income taxes for about 22 % of South Carolinians, these people never see anything like it. Maybe we should send um Shannon Smith over at Aurora Home Healthcare, um the videos of the women being beaten in the streets of Iran. Maybe we could just show her that. you know, maybe we could just show her. I mean, she works in the healthcare industry, so she might not be screamish. uh Show her pictures of the genital mutilation. 04:47 of that goes on. Just show her some of that stuff. How about that? How about we do that? How about play her the video of the imams that says it's okay for men to beat their husbands and not out of anger, but out of correction. They need to be corrected. If they're not losing, then they're winning because the United States can't take them out right now. 00:31 And Iran is winning the economic war by controlling the Strait of Hormuz. And it's going to take a lot of uh begging of Donald Trump to get South Korea or England or anybody else to help with the Strait of Hormuz. I don't think it's going to take a lot of begging at all. don't think it's going to take a lot of No, no, no, no, no, no, because remember they're going to benefit from this too. I don't think they will though. Well, then uh screw them. 00:59 Then screw them. mean, I know Keir Starmer is a socialist, then we ought to put massive tariffs off anything that comes through the Gulf of the Strait of Hormuz and show them exactly they're there. Trump is already exposing the lily-livered, do-nothing nations out there, like Canada, like France, like England, the ones that were supposed to be. Did you know that France is harboring Iranian regime members right now? I mean, not France, Canada. 01:30 I'm sure they are. This is a war that we shouldn't have been in though. is going to happen like Vietnam. No, it is not. I guarantee you it's not. It's only been two weeks. We just took Karg Island. The north, east and west of Iran are mountains. The only way we can get in is through the south and we're getting 2,500 Marines to go there. Just like Vietnam, they'll get 5,000 to help them and then 10,000 more after that. This is a big mistake. Okay. 01:59 All right, we'll see, Brian, we'll see. Hadn't been a mistake so far. just took... This whole thing, let me tell you something. You know why this thing is the way it is? Because right now, you know who Donald Trump is really worried about? The people of Iran. He's worried about the people of Iran. Now, if we were at war with the people of Iran, this thing would be over with. 02:27 You go in, he could take out their entire electric infrastructure right now. He could have blown up all of Cargillian instead of the military installations that they had there. He could have taken it all out, but he didn't. All of this waffling that I'm seeing from a lot of Republicans, so-called Republicans out there, is very unappetizing to me. 02:54 I just had a text they're talking about, oh, we're sick and tired of Donald Trump. Donald Trump lied. We need a true MAGA leader. Oh, do we really? Well, there was a poll that was done by YouGov slash The Economist that say that 91%, 91 % of MAGA supporters approve of President Trump's actions in Iran. 91%. 03:22 Among all Republicans, 83 % approved. So don't give me this, know, oh, MAGA doesn't like, no, you're wrong. You're wrong. As usual, you're wrong. So CNN recently did a poll and I know they hated to report this, but here's what it was. Are voters feeling about Democrats right now? Yeah, I mean, Democrats in the minds of the American public. 03:49 are lower than the Dead Sea. What are we talking about here? Well, let's take a look at the net approval rating for Democrats in Congress. You said it, Kate Baldwin, the lowest ever. Look at this. Overall, they are 55 points underwater. Their approval rating is south of 20%. It's even worse when you look at independents. Look at this, negative 61 points. That means that their approval rating is 61 points lower than their disapproval rating. Quinnipiac has been polling this question for the better part of the 21st century. 04:19 They have never found Democrats, at least those in Congress, in worse shape than they are right now. Worse than ever. Now, once you think about this, Democrats are worse. They have the lowest approval rating that they hav ...

00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:28 spacious skies for amber waves of 00:37 For purple mountain majesties. 00:59 Share his grace on P. m 01:21 America is back. Yes, sir. And we are back. Let's go to the WRD talk line and talk to Larry in Reedville. How you doing, Larry? Doing fine. I trust you having a good day as well. I am, sir. Yes, thank you. What's up? All I want to do is add a little bit on why I think the Democrats chose. 01:42 to include the TSA in the shutdown. And you probably already know this on the thing. find all the monitors or TVs and all airports, the TV news that's on there is CNN. Yeah. And so a lot of people probably don't realize that, a lot of these people are getting a lot of false news while they're sat there angry, waiting in line. You're right about that. 02:08 Are you are you right? don't know what kind of a contract CNN has with these airports, but they are everywhere. You're right. I appreciate it, Larry. Thank you very much. OK, so how many people? 02:25 on the bingo card had Donald Trump getting radical leftist women to actually support the Iranian regime. Anybody have that? thought ... Wow. I am absolutely flabbergasted. I want you to listen to this woman. Her name is Katrina. 02:50 She appears to work for the Guthrie Clinic in New York. Ooh, a healthcare provider. Let's see what Katrina has to say. Now, I ran. You do know that your target is not New York City, right? I just want you to understand the assignment, okay? And because we don't, we don't agree with this, but your target is Washington, D.C. and Mar-a-Lago, okay? Not New York City, not anywhere else. Those two places, okay? We here? Don't miss like the last person. 03:18 Okay. Don't miss like the last person. Well, she's not the only one. This is a woman. um Looks like she's a nurse in Philadelphia named Shannon Smith, who works at Aurora Home Home Care. Here we go. So I heard the new leader of Iran wants to take out you know who and leader of Iran. If you're seeing this for any reason, I just want you to know that 03:48 Most of us are rooting for you, actually, but I think most of us would like it to be kind of slow and painful if you wouldn't mind. Okay. Go get them, bud. Go get them, Go get them, bud. Go get them. Go get them. That's right, the Iranian regime. 04:19 Yeah. Have you seen the video? Maybe we should send um Shannon Smith over at Aurora Home Healthcare, um the videos of the women being beaten in the streets of Iran. Maybe we could just show her that. you know, maybe we could just show her. I mean, she works in the healthcare industry, so she might not be screamish. uh Show her pictures of the genital mutilation. 04:47 of that goes on. Just show her some of that stuff. How about that? How about we do that? How about play her the video of the imams that says it's okay for men to beat their husbands and not out of anger, but out of correction. They need to be corrected. And the video of the guy saying, listen, if a nine-year-old girl can get pregnant, 05:13 then she is not off limits. Not off limits. 05:19 So yeah, so these are the women. This is the new women's rights movement. Now I want you to hear Joy Reid who says probably the dumbest thing ever. Our regime has secret police. They have secret police. Our regime is oppressing women, taking away abortion rights, taking away women's rights in like 26 countries, 26 states, some states where they're trying to have the death penalty for having an abortion. They also oppress women. They have the highest rate of women who are in STEM careers. We're kicking women out. 05:48 of the military, out of university. We're saying that DEI means women can't be hired for high positions in the sciences. So we're marginally better and we're doing it for Christianity. They're doing it for Isl ...

00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Robert in Mills River. How you doing, Robert? I'm doing good, Charlie. How are you? I'm great. What's up, I was just thinking this little old joke. He's talking about the jokes there. This is on Alatola back in the day. They said he went to get an examination at the hospital and all and the doctor told him, know, 00:25 He examined me and he said, you're healthy and body-wide. said, you're going to have to take that turbin off your head, you know, and let me look under it. I told him, no, you, I never took it off. said, you're going have take it off. So he took it off, he looked at me. 00:42 there's a frog sitting on top of his head. And he said, how'd that get that frog? started with the ward on my butt. I appreciate it, Robert. Thank you, buddy. Let's go to Lucas in Piedmont. What you doing, Lucas? Hey, Charlie. Happy Friday. Yes, sir. You too. So, you know, some incomplete thoughts here, but you had mentioned that, Joe, you were talking about a dirty bomb and whatnot. And of course, know, how it would negatively affect 01:10 the Muslim community. uh Only that reminds you of exactly uh Mamdani's sob story about how after 9-11 his mother got mean looks on the subway and how the entire thing of, know, 3000 people killed innocently, uh you know, just doing their own thing in this radically charged uh ideology and somehow 01:39 she's the victim here because people were uncomfortable. Yeah, and that whole thing, that was a Norm MacDonald joke. I appreciate the text for reminding me. couldn't, for some reason, Norm MacDonald's name slipped my mind. But he told that joke and then Mondani actually lived it out or claimed to live it. But it turned out it wasn't even his mom, it was his aunt or something ridiculous like that. They always have to come up with something. on the subject, uh 02:06 You know, it always seems like when it comes to, um, you know, the Muhammad Ali Abu Bakr names and, you know, how many shootings have we had at churches and synagogues and attempts to, uh, you know, detonate bombs in the ideology. 02:27 And everyone's like, well, we really don't know what the ideology is, or we don't know what the motive was. Right, yeah. They're saying that about Michigan right now. Well, of course. But then, your Twitter ex-harasser there who was like, oh, why don't you call out white people? Anytime there's a white person or something like that, they're like, oh, it must have been Trump, must have been radical Christianity or something like that. Yeah, white nationalism. to say that Charlie Kirk's shooter is still on the right. 02:56 Yeah, not because they're trying to throw out evidence from his social media accounts. It shows that it's not exactly true. Yep. And, know, uh, Jesse Smollett. Oh yeah. These guys tried to, tried to hurt me. And still we've got people on the left, like Abby Phillips and all them who were trying to say, well he was accosted and you know, is an anti, anti left, uh, Trump extremism that's out there. I mean, stop it. It's like, come on people. You're right. 03:25 You're right Lucas, they never want to take responsibility. Janice is in Gastonia. Janice, welcome. Hi Charlie. Hey, well I hope you're doing well on this Friday the 13th. I know right. Going under any ladders or crossing black cats. I hope not today. 03:44 And I'm hoping that I'm not the only one that feels this way. if it naturalized citizen commits a federal crime, I don't want to pay for them to go to prison. I don't want their butts out of this country where they can't hurt nobody else. There's no rehabilitation. They've proven that time and time again. And if I'm not mistaken, the attacks that we've had the last two weeks, it's either been children of naturalized citizens or naturalized citizens. 04:15 hate to say it, we need to get rid of the Muslims that believe the extreme Islamic only because you cannot, they believe and it's legal for them to marry a ni ...

00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Dee and Thomas. How are doing my man? I'm doing great today. Charlie, how are you my friend? I'm wonderful. What's on your mind? Listen, I just want to revisit this this topic of the SAVE Act, which I am completely convinced that is the most important legislation that we have pending today. uh I was uh talking with a friend earlier and 00:30 He's uh a Trump supporter, but ah mentioned that it was a great thing, how great a thing it was that Thune has come around to bring the SAVE Act before, for a vote, uh as if he'd changed his position. I said, look, this is smoke and mirrors. I said, unless there's a... 00:59 uh... a rule change week uh... uh... filibuster rule change then it has no uh... possibility of passing and i agree with you what you said earlier before top of the hour that uh... uh... if if it goes before a vote without this rule change then it's guaranteed to fail and like you said you know likely one hundred percent of the uh... 01:27 Republicans will vote for it. Yeah. Because they know it's going to fail. Well, exactly, exactly. And if it fails, without the rule change, the filibuster change, that will just allow them to keep the can down the road and bury it for ever how long. yeah, you're exactly right, Well, hopefully we can get something done. I appreciate it, buddy. So if you go to a prize fight, 01:57 You go to a boxing match, hadn't been to a boxing match in a long time. But when you go to a boxing match, you got a couple of people in the auditorium. They got the referee over here. We're not talking about him. But you've got the combatants and you've got the spectators. Now what we're seeing in Congress, a lot of these members, they're just spectators. Lindsey Graham, spectator. Tim Scott, 02:26 except for a little strange comment today, spectator. They're not really in the fight, right? 02:36 There are some people that are in the fight and one of those people is representative uh Annapleena Luna. She has a plan and I, oh my gosh, I think this is fantastic. Every time the FISA bill, that's the bill that allows the government to spy on you. Every time the FISA bill has to be revoted on, man, oh, oh, the Democrats, the Republicans. 03:06 Lindsey Graham, all these people that get out there and say, oh, we gotta pass this. Oh, we gotta pass the FISA bill. We have to do it. This is a must pass piece of legislation. We have got to get it done. Want you to listen to what Representative Ana Plena Luna is suggesting. I think it's pretty darn smart. This is really 100 % on Leader Thune. I know for a fact the American people have told their senators what they want, both the Democrats and Republicans. I think the number for Democrats is over 71%. 03:35 Even Federman came out in support of this, which we know that Federman might not align with us all the time, but on this issue he's pretty good and hears what his own people want. And so again, this is something that the Senate is going to have to act on. But look, I'm not going to hold my breath. If I did, I'd probably pass out before the Senate decided to actually do something. 03:51 And so what I'm anticipating is if they don't do the right thing, we're going to have to stick it on FISA. FISA's must pass. That's the only way we're going to get it done, but we will get it done. And it's good that Speaker Johnson is on the same page on this issue as well as the president so vocally supporting it. you take a must pass and this is how you got to admit this is what fighters do. 04:14 Fighters find ways to win. 04:18 man I saw video last night. Oh, it was so good. was just one of those like motivational videos. And it was just talking about you gotta find a way to win. No matter what it takes, no matter how hard you have to work, no matter how much you gotta sacrifice, you have got to find a way to win. 04:39 So over here you got John Thune making excuses. And then in ...

00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk live. We'll talk to Scott in Greer. Scott, what's on your mind this afternoon? Yeah. Hey, Charlie. Thanks for taking my call. The biggest concern I've got right now and that's what ran is we uh are going to end up getting involved in a beach on the ground, long-term quagmire. And I think that that is a huge concern. 00:27 cost us a million dollars a day not to mention wives on both sides. Okay Scott I appreciate your call. Let me tell you something, this war in Iran has been cheaper 00:47 than the Somali fraud that went on in Minneapolis. It has cost a lot less than that. there you go. I don't think it is. I don't think it's gonna be quiet. Donald Trump knows good and well. Pete Hagseth knows good and well. And you should know good and well. This is not gonna become one of those forever wars that we've all been used to because previously, 01:16 They had these ridiculous rules of engagement. Everything had to go through the PR department. Would love to chat with you on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Let's see who we got on the phones there. Who we got there, JJ? 01:46 i ran a is in travelers rest i don't it i'm doing pretty good they take my call yes sir what's up talk about uh... the uh... yesterday you had that congressman tenant on yeah and uh... and he was talking about the uh... uh... sex abuse uh... slush one that they have their car and yeah i voted for my like you know i like it but you know i voted for and i would say that i don't think you could be more wrong yesterday 02:16 just because, you he talked about how he didn't want to release the names of, uh you know, some of the accusers and all that stuff. And all because of damage to them. And all I want to say is whose money is it that they're using to pay? And the answer is mine. And you know something, if you're going to use my money, I want to know who used it and paid whom how much for what. 02:44 and uh... it's just because it's my money but i know well not a hold on don't you believe that these accusers some of them who have done nothing except being harassed by members of congress don't you think they deserve a little bit of privacy well you know that the thing about it is that you know i admit that some of them aren't victims and that's why i'm calling them accusers right i understand yes yes and i've said that on this program as well yes 03:15 But what about the actual victims? 03:21 Yeah, and I understand that, you know, but I mean, I just look at it as the fact of it's my money. That's all. Yeah, I understand that, Randy, and I appreciate it. But here's what you need to do. You need to go ask a woman in your life that if you were sexually harassed by someone in the office and you complained and you want a suit against them or whatever, they paid you, you signed a non-disclosure agreement. 03:50 Would you want your name to be put out there for everybody to know? Ask them, ask several members, female members of your family. Let's go to Walter and Anderson. Walter, welcome. Hello, Charlie, how you doing today? I'm doing good. What's up, man? They're talking about the cost of the war. Well, we haven't heard about the cost of the war in a long time. mean, what about the Afghanistan debacle and everything like that? And like you said, 04:16 just the Somali fraud in Minnesota alone, just in Minnesota is ridiculous. absolutely. you, Charlie. a good day. I appreciate it, Walter. Thank you. that's it. It's all about the cost. yesterday in the House of ... Well, in Columbia in the state legislature, they did something that I thought we had already done up until a few weeks ago, and that is comply with the one big, beautiful bill. So they passed legislation. 04:45 And we are now going to go into compliance ...

Have we ever stopped to think that maybe we only got like a handful of politicians that are actually fighting for us up there and the rest of them are just happy with with all the corruption and stealing and thieving going on? Yeah. Yeah. I really, I really think you're absolutely right. There's just a few, there's an even fewer in Columbia. 00:27 that are actually fighting for us. I mean, there are some good ones there. But even like Senator John Kennedy, I mean, this guy, he talks a good game. But if you look at his voting record, like it's abysmal. Yeah. So you're right. I mean, they get up there. We all know Tim Scott's an idiot. But here's the thing, it takes a bigger idiot to vote for him, so that says a lot about the mentality of South Carolina. I've lived here for 26 years, and all I've heard for 26 years is people bitching about Lindsey Graham, but he's still here. So who's the bigger idiot? All right, but here's the thing. 01:26 I know those idiots. I do. I know some of those idiots that think Lindsey Graham is actually doing a great job. 01:36 I got one friend down in Charleston and she's fairly influential. Well, I'll tell you this, we had some friends that it was like right before we moved away and came up here, um we were going out with, going to dinner with them and they were Lindsay supporters. The husband was a big Lindsay contributor. 02:04 She was a Lindsay supporter, although not as much as him. And they were happy with Lindsay Graham. So my wife and I get up here to Greenville, I guess we're here for a year and a half. And then we go back down to Charleston for a visit and we're sitting down to dinner with them and all of a sudden they're like, nope, no more money for me. Lindsay gets nothing from me. Nothing, nothing. 02:33 I'm not supporting that guy anymore. So I can't wait to ask them who they vote for in this primary. 02:43 But incumbent senators are hard to beat. The amount of money that you have to have, now first of all, remember this, when you go after the king, you better not miss. 03:00 Lindsey Graham already running ads against Mark Lynch. You've seen them. They're all over the place right now. Lindsey's worried. He always gets worried during the primaries, but he should. That's what primaries are for. So I think everybody needs a primary challenger just to keep them honest. I'm all for that. don't care. don't care. I was okay with Donald Trump having a primary challenger. I didn't care. Keep them honest. 03:30 But Lindsay always gets very conservative right around primary time and the other, what, four and half, five and a half years, is just about as liberal as they come. 03:43 Now pretty sure he's a big fan of John Cornyn, but the money you have to have to unseat an income, and look at what Cornyn spent in Texas, almost $100 million? 03:58 Ken Paxton spent five? That's crazy, man. It really is. That's nuts. That's how much those people, and I hope the people of South Carolina are paying very close attention to that. Take a look at what can be done even when the odds are against you. Even when that guy 04:27 has so much more money than you do. You know, always tell people, people say, oh, how can you beat Lindsey? He's got all that money. I got an idea. Ask Paxton how that happens. We could do this. And if not, well, we're going to have him for six more years. I am no fan of the guy. I think he's a backstabber. I think he's a necessary idiot for President Trump. 04:57 To keep around, unfortunately Trump needs him. 05:02 We saw what happened in Pickens. 05:06 with him practically be ...

00:00 Let's go to the WRD talk line. talk to Chris in Greenville. How you doing, Chris? Pretty good, Charlie. Have we ever stopped to think that maybe we only got like a handful of politicians that are actually fighting for us up there and the rest of them are just happy with um with all the corruption and stealing and thieving going on? Yeah. Oil companies know there is a sweet spot for oil a barrel pricing

00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Jed and Hickory. How you doing, Jed? 00:08 I'm good man, what's on your mind this afternoon? I want to tell you my feelings on the gas prices. All right. I'm 70 years old and I have never ever seen gas prices jump 35, 40 cents in one hour, one day. It was the biggest, yeah. When we had that ice storm that come through on the East Coast, our gas prices around my hometown of Hickory Grove and York. 00:37 with two dollars and thirty three shant they jumped up that two sixty nine and one day that before the war started i i'll buy it if they get carmen's play on that book book they go up and down when they walk through but all my life when gas prices rose they all the road to three four shanty five sand at the back now they jump in there thirty five forty seven uh 01:05 It was, I mean, it was a pretty um significant jump, Jed. You're right, I appreciate that, pal. But here's the thing. Oil companies know a couple of things. They know that there is a sweet spot. 01:23 Now, first of all, they know we have to have fuel. Everybody's got to have fuel. We do, industry, um everybody's got to have fuel. But they know if their prices are too high that people will start becoming more efficient with the way that they use that fuel. And they, and we do, we start using less. It's less, you know, we do more consolidated trips. We do ways to find, um 01:51 we find ways to save gas and that hurts them economically. And they also know if the price of oil is too low. 02:03 they're not going to be making money so therefore they can't do more oil exploration, they can't open new oil rigs, they can't pump more. So there's actually a sweet spot. And that sweet spot is right around between like sixty-seven and seventy dollars a barrel. Somewhere in there is that sweet spot where you're happy at the tank, I mean sorry, you're happy at the gas station and 02:30 They're making enough money to go and keep the oil rigs running and pay all the roughnecks and do the exploration. that's where the oil companies actually want to be. Do they want to make a profit? Absolutely, they do. But they don't want to cut their own throats in the process. Okay? So we'll see. mean, right now, $86. What did we just end up with? I think it was like $86.40 a gallon today, but we'll keep an eye on that for you. 03:00 Well, this is something that I found pretty amazing. I you to listen to Caroline Wren. She's a Republican strategist talking about Texas. If you're a low-propensity voter who's not going out and searching for your own information here, and you just kind of tune in right before elections and you go vote, maybe you wanted to vote in your county race and you just see the incumbent senator, that's why it's very hard to take out incumbents. admit it's no Republican, or actually either party, no incumbent senator is... 03:29 lost their primary since 2002. That is 25 years since an incumbent senator has lost a primary. That's why what Paxson has done with almost zero dollars in the most expensive state, a massive state like Texas, is so unbelievable and impressive and also why he is a more electable candidate in the general. He's absolutely a more electable candidate. So, you believe that? No? 03:57 Either party, no senator has been defeated. No incumbent senator has been defeated since 2002. Hopefully we're gonna see that change this year, not only in Texas, but in South Carolina as well. So in that runoff race right now, the new polls came out. They've got Ken Paxton at 49%, John Cornyn coming in at 41%, 11 % are not sure. Now here's the interesting thing. 04:25 If Trump endorses Paxton, 04:29 That goes up to Ken Paxton 58%, John Cornyn 32%. Now as interesting as that is, listen to this. If Trump endorses Cornyn, Ken Paxton still wins. He still wins by a point. Ken Paxton has 44%, John Cornyn has 43%, and then you get that 13 % of the not sure's out there. 05:01 But that's why they're s ...

00:00 And welcome back to the program. It is four o'clock and that means it's time for our Pledge of Allegiance. Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:33 spacious skies for 00:39 done 00:43 For purple mountain majesties. 01:05 share his grace on thee. 01:14 When 01:18 from sea to shining sea America is back! uh 01:32 Yes, sir. And we are back. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Gerald in Kalpins. How you doing, Gerald? Happy Monday to you, brother. Happy Monday. Back in the 50s, we had what they called a four party line. Yeah. So you pick up, you pick up the phone and you might hear somebody else on it. And some of the time when I would see my mother's face, 01:58 It must be some good gossip. They call it the gossip line back there. You're right, Gerald. Appreciate it, buddy. Thank you. Well, oil has I mean, literally the bottom has fallen out of the barrel in oil. got up to around one hundred and twenty dollars a barrel last night. It is just now it is at eighty six dollars and ten cents a barrel. That is just since the do do do do do. 02:27 take a look out here. About one, when was it? da da, trying to find it. About four o'clock, well about one o'clock this morning, it hit $113 a barrel and then just about, I'm going to say about, when was this? 310. Now I'm not going to take credit for this because the show came on the air at 10 at three, but I'll take all the credit for it. 02:56 So right when the show started, the price of oil just, it went from $95.09 a barrel at 310. It went all the way down to $82 a barrel at about 340. And now it's at $86.49 per barrel. And I think it might have a lot to do with some comments that President Trump has made in some phone interviews. 03:23 that he's been doing today. Listen to this from Fox News. He has done some phone interviews with several outlets, most recently talking to CBS News's Washington White House reporter, I should say. And in that interview with Wei Zhejiang, he said, I think the war is very complete, pretty much. They have no Navy, no communications. They've got no Air Force. He added that the US is, quote, very far ahead. 03:50 of the initial four to five week estimated time frame and then with that we bring in Danny DeNau. And he also said that m 04:01 Trump was considering taking over the Strait of Hormuz to accelerate oil tankers passing through. Now, this is what I'm talking about. When I say that markets react quickly, they do. Trump announced that he could take over the Strait of Hormuz. 04:21 and then all of a sudden the oil companies went, whew, thank goodness, get him rolling. Now this is the second thing, the second big thing he's done. First you gotta go and you gotta look back and remember what happened with Lloyds of London. Lloyds of London canceled all of the maritime war insurance that all of these boats are required to have. All of these oil tankers have to have 04:47 Maritime insurance, if you're over in the Middle East, you've got to have maritime war insurance. 04:53 So they all had that, were all, the Lloyds of London was just making billions upon hundreds of billions of dollars. And then they just decided they were gonna cancel it. 05:06 Thanks Great Britain, we appreciate it. But then... 05:12 President Trump came in and he said, know what, we'll do it. We'll offer you, the United States will offer you low price maritime war insurance. And everybody got happy. Then Israel bombed all of the... 05:29 oil facilities over there that made Donald Trump mad because he didn't want to touch the oil because he knew that what that was going to do. And now he's open to the same is going to open up the Strait of Hormuz and allow the ships to go through unmolested. And the oil companies are happy again. Let's just take another quick look at the price of oil that you do t ...

H2-Seg2-TCJS- Tues1/13/26- Interview with Sc Rep Sarita Edgerton about Bill 3310 00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line. We've got Mark in Pickens. I want to go to him. He's got a response to Drew McKissick. If I can push that button. There you go, Mark. Welcome. Hello, Charlie. Hello, Mark. Can you hear me? I can. Yes, sir. What's on your mind? OK, I'm sorry. I want to ask you a question. Now, if you were a, let's say a seasoned lawyer that run for office, which most of the politicians in Colombia are. Yeah. 00:29 Would you say that you weren't aware when he said that maybe they didn't know that these primaries were causing the things that they're causing? They know. How in the world? They know. Exactly. know. Anybody that's been there for any length of time, they know. They know about that. Exactly right. So yeah. to say that, and he's the head of GOP in South Carolina or the bring home of the GOP? 00:56 You would have to have just fallen off the turnip truck and landed in the South Carolina State Legislature to not know that closing the primaries would be beneficial. You're exactly right about that, Mark. Let's go to Serita, Representative Serita Edgerton. Serita, welcome to the program. So Drew was talking about House Bill 3643, but there's another bill out there that might be a little stronger. Yes, sir. 3643, while it does move the ball to the next 01:26 first down line to use a football analogy. This one actually kicks it into throws it into the end zone for a touchdown. Um, so I call it a jar primaries 36 43. It just keeps the door open a little bit. Um, but 33 10 actually closes the primaries, um, and, and keep make sure that the independence just can't go and you can register as an independent and vote wherever you want to. 01:55 It really nails down what you have to do as an independent if you want to vote in a primary. Now that's going to get a lot of pushback from the ACLU, but that's going to happen anyway, so we don't need to worry about that. How does 3310 actually address the quote unquote unaffiliated voter? 02:15 Well, I have to get that for sure. I think they have to register. If they're independent, they can't vote in either of the Republican or Democrat primary. They can vote in the November election, but they cannot vote in a primary. OK, now the way I think the bill reads is you can vote if you're an independent, you can vote in the Democrat primary if the Democrat primary allows independent voters to vote in it. That's correct. I believe that's right. Yeah. Or if the Republican primary 02:45 If the Republican Party decided to allow independent voters to vote in that primary, they would also be able to do that. So it does close it up just a little bit. And like Drew was telling us, I'm sorry, go ahead. No, no, go ahead. Drew was telling us what? That, and you mentioned this as well in a text, that this hearing has actually been moved. Any idea why? The reason given from the House floor by Chairman Jordan was that they had received such 03:14 feedback on it that they needed to go back and relook at some of the bills that were in there and take a little bit more time to think about them. So your calls are working people your calls are where I was about to say I'm going to take that as a good thing. do and another thing that has 3643 which is a little concerning is the 2 out of 3 voting in 2 out 3 South Carolina primary right. That could cut off. 03:43 people in the military who moved to our state and have voted in a Republican primary elsewhere. ah they wanted to run for office and they're an upstanding citizen, but they've only voted in one out of, only voted in the last one. So ah maybe, you know, that would cut some of those veterans out from running for office until they have to be in the state for so many years to vote in uh so many primaries in a row. 04:12 Yeah, I heard and I don't know who filed it. It was just kind of in passing that somebody was looking at a bill ...

And welcome back to the program. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Sam in Greenville. Sam, what's going on with you? Hey, man. How's it going, Charlie? How are you doing today? I'm doing fantastic, buddy. What's going on with you? Not too much, man. But I just really, you know, I first of all and, you know, I love you and everything, man. I listen to you just about every day. Thank you. I the Mad World thing, man, that's a little demonic, man. I gotta say. I just wanna appreciate it. Have you ever been? Yeah. I've been. I took my kids and everything, and it just scared the the crap out of them, man. It was terrible. It's a hey. Listen. I know, man. But for those people that love that, they love it. They love it. It's been going on for fifteen years. I know. I know. But it's a bit demonic for my taste. But here here's my question here, Charles. So I've been promised, man, nothing but lower prices and lower gas prices, lower grocery prices, you know, all this stuff. And and all I'm saying is it just going skyrocketing right up in the sky, man. Every single day. I haven't I haven't noticed anything skyrocketing, and I go to the grocery store too. I work at a grocery store, brother. I see it every single day. Like, I work in a grocery store, and I see every single day. I'm I'm every Wednesday when I gotta put So what you so wait wait. Hold on. So this up. So you've got some grievances with Trump. Even though inflation is stagnant, unemployment is stagnant name. You've well I did not say else would you be talking about? You just put my point across very well, sir. Thank you very much. Who else would you be talking about? Are are you would you be talking about maybe the owner of your grocery store? About maybe the grocery store chain increasing the prices? Maybe that might be the problem, young Sam. Let's go to Billy in Greer and talk to him. Billy, welcome. Hey, Charlie. How are you? I got a couple of things to talk on. Alright. First is burning the flag. Yeah. I was a boy scout raised up rural county. You do not burn the flag. You can bring it to the Boy Scouts of America. We will take and we will retire that American flag the way it's properly supposed to be. Right. Second is who they're going after. I am a descendant of Melungeon. I don't know if any of your viewers know about hell, I'm 50 years old, and I just learned about Melungeon a couple of years ago. Yeah. And I am of Melungeon descent. And what is that? A Melungeon is we are some they say we could be possibly the lost people of Roanoke. Ah, where is that? Yes, sir. Where the people, they they were left there. Some of the English people went back to England, and they never come back for so many years. And the people of Roanoke wound up migrating with immigrants of Portuguese, Native Americans, African Americans, all kinds of people. So who are they gonna go after next? I mean, I'm all American. I'm just an American. They're coming after you first then. You're you're you're absolutely coming after, they're coming after you next. Billy, I appreciate it, buddy. Thank you very much. But who they don't wanna go after are the criminals. They hate people that wanna go after the criminals. So CNN went out, and they were trying to interview, a young woman on the streets of Chicago about crime. Let's take a listen to what she said. Our first reaction was that this is a good thing. I think that the governor as well as, the mayor should be on board with it just so we can get a bit more of security in Chicago the way that we need. The the crime has dropped since 2024. Do you feel like the city feels safer? No. Not at all. No. Especially with the police being defunded. Yeah. Exact see? And this is a young African American woman on the streets of Chicago. Crime has been going no. Gosh. CNN. They're absolutely worthless at news. They ought to take one of those in at ins out of CNN because they don't do news. That'll be CP and cable propaganda network b ...

Welcome back to the program. Let's go to the WORD talk line. We'll talk to Gerald in Cowpens. How are you doing, Gerald? Alright, my brother. Hope glad that you're back, my man. I'm glad to be back. What's up? Hey. Are the oysters in season in Rhode Island? You know, the car down here They are. Down here the car down here, it's always the month with an r in it. Yeah. Yeah. I'd it's a little different up there, but they are in season, and they are fantastic. Sheila and I went out, Saturday night and had three dozen oysters between the two of us. Unbelievable. But we, you know, have gotten back and forgotten how to do everything around here. Let's go with this. I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of rain, for purple mountain majesties above the fruit America is back. Yes, sir. Alright. Let's go back to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Paul in Hodges. Paul, what's going on with you, man? Hey, man. I'm just trying to, tell him tell everybody that on. I think president Trump's doing a great job. Yeah. He is doing absolutely fantastic job. I mean, look at that. Look at that. Look at everything that he's done in just a little over seven months now. It's been amazing. Yes. I mean, that that thing we did have in there didn't do nothing. You are exactly and I'm talking literally nothing but try to destroy this country. You're right about that, Paul. President Trump doing a great job. And now we've got even more good news. A New York state appeals court and this isn't the end of this, by the way. I just wanna let you know. A New York state appeals court on Thursday tossed out a massive monetary fine for civil business fraud imposed on president Donald Trump, his company, and other defendants related to the lawsuit by state attorney general Leticia James. Now let's go and remember what Leticia James said. And that is why I will be honored when I walk into that courtroom on October 2. Well, my role is civil, but I will come back before you soon with a check for $250,000,000. Yeah. The best we can do is zero. Sorry. Sorry, Leticia. No four what? I it got over 500 half a billion dollars in fines between her and and George George, George Ingeron. They overstated everything. Now remember, this was a, quote, unquote, crime that nobody said happened. There was no lending institution, no organization that accused Donald Trump of committing fraud. In fact, on every single transaction, there was always a disclaimer that these estimates are done and I'm paraphrasing here. These estimates are done using customary, accounting standards, basically saying, listen. This is the way we do things. If you don't agree with it, you do your own due diligence. But nobody did. Nobody wanted to because they were doing business with Donald Trump, and they wanted to do business with Donald Trump. So they did, and they were happy to do it and would do it again. But Leticia James, who, by the way, is under investigation her own self, she decided that Donald Trump, with no complaints whatsoever, committed some sort of fraud. Now she actually did what she accused Donald Trump of doing. She said she bought a four bedroom rental unit, but actually was a five bedroom rental unit. Why would she do that? Well, got a better loan on that one. Got better insurance rates on that one. That is mortgage and insurance fraud. Said she lived at a residence that she didn't live at. Then on one document, it appears that she put her father down as her husband in order to get a VA loan. You see, VA loans are only available to military members and their spouses. Leticia James is not a member of the military. Her husband, not a member of the military. Her father, however, member of the military. So from what I'm hearing, she said that her father was well, that's fraud as well. They're a ...

Welcome back to the program. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Gary in Taylors. What's going on, Gary? Hey. How are you, Charlie? Good, buddy. What's up? Good. Well, with with your conversation with lieutenant governor there just a second ago, I wanted to ask a a question. Attorney general. Attorney general. Attorney auto. Yeah. That's right. That's right. Okay. AG. AG. Sorry. Yeah. Tom, AG. And then also Nancy Mace has both said, yes. They will deputize all our local agents, state highway patrol, you know, sheriff's city, game and game wardens and all that kind of stuff to help get rid of a lot of these illegals Yeah. That have records especially. Right. But yet Henry sends 200 national guard troops up to Washington DC and doesn't, you know, really have to even give it a whole lot of thought. And, yeah, he won't do this, which is affecting us directly, not up in Washington DC. He refuses to do that to protect us. How many more tens or hundreds of u of South Carolina city and citizens are gonna get raped, murdered, killed, molested, DUI against us, and and that. But he won't do that. All these people from Florida, from Tennessee, from these states that are enacting some of this stuff are gonna be run into the light here in South Carolina. And yet we're the ones that's gonna pay the price. Yep. You are exactly right. You are exactly right, Gary. And why Henry McMaster is dragging his feet on this, I have no idea, Gary, and I appreciate your call. Georgia has the two eighty seven g agreement with certain law enforcement agencies, and these agreements allow local law enforcement to partner with US ICE and immigration's custom with ICE to enforce immigration laws. Gwynedd County has been involved with the two eighty seven g program for some time. What is going on with Henry McMaster? What is and, again, just like the caller Gary said, he's more than willing to take these people and and send them up to Washington DC to help out with crime there. So what's going on with the dragging of the feet of Henry McMaster? Let me tell you how successful this program has been in the state of Georgia. Are you ready for this? Georgia has had a 367% increase in the arrest of illegal aliens in Georgia. 367% increase. Now not all of that was because of ICE agents. A lot of that came from those local sheriffs, local police officers, local whatever, actually getting getting involved and being deputized by ICE. So, yes, everybody I mean, I haven't talked to well, I've talked to one person who just had a a a a no. It was a good question, and I'll I'll get to that in a second. But everybody that I've talked to has been like, yeah. Let's do it. I think it's a great idea. And the one person that that's got some reservations about it was, yeah. But what happens when, you know, deputizing these people for what happens when or if the Democrats get in power? Are they going to since these people are ICE deputies, are they gonna they gonna give them stand down orders? That I don't know. That I don't know because, remember, a sword always cuts two ways. So the two eighty seven g program is something that a lot of people have been screaming about, and I know that one person that is, for the two eighty seven g program is I don't and I'll be honest with you. We were kinda debating. I was debating with the producer dynamite, JJ, about what we call Bill Ryan now. What what do we call him? Yeah. Well, he's the he's the Republican primary runoff winner for the sheriff's race in Spartanburg. But since there's no Democrat opponent coming up in the general election, I guess we could just call them sheriff elect. I don't know if that would be okay. I know there's a lot of conspiracy theories out there on the text line, but I I just go with, sheriff elect Bill Ryan. Bill Ryan is for it. We're gonna be talking with Bill Ryan coming up at 04:06. He's gonna be in studio with us. We had all of these you know, whenever people talk, they always talk ...

And welcome back to the program. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We will talk to Cassandra in Greenville. Always a pleasure to talk to her. Cassandra, how are you? Hi. Hi, Charlie. I'm doing well. Thank you. Thank you. I'm you know, I talking about the the SNAP program and so on. I I just and a couple things. Number one, of course, you want to take care of people who can't take care of themselves. However, I don't believe that should be government's place. That was always family and church and charities, legitimate charities. Right. And I do think it should stay that way. However, what really got me is this this February, I was I was, purchasing candy for, Valentine's Day. I'm looking. And here, it's like the Lindt and the Godiva and all these expensive chocolates that I wasn't I'm like, I can't afford. They were there with the SNAP program. Yeah. And I looked and I thought, are you kidding me? This is on SNAP? I thought it was supposed to help people nutritionally, but, you know, expensive candies. It was crazy. It really is. I mean, the candy does not there is no nutritional value in candy, and I don't care how it's marketed. It's just not there. No. No. And and and it it was yeah. A little more I think I might have mentioned before, I'm sure I did. When I first gave birth, I had a a young girl. She had just turned 14, and, she was my roommate. And 16 of her family members and friends were in the room all fighting over getting the baby. Right. And I you know, I'm saying to her, oh, how wonderful that they all care about your baby. Because I for some reason, she kept telling me she wasn't allowed to marry the father. I didn't quite understand, but, you know and then she said, no. They they don't care about the baby. They just want the money. And I said to her, no. No. No. You don't understand. You don't get money for having babies. You babies cost money. And now my husband's working two jobs. Right. And, and then she listed all the stuff they got Yeah. For having the baby. And I thought, oh my word. Why are they doing such a thing when she would have married the man? She would have married the father. Yeah. But, no, she wasn't allowed to. It was crazy, Charlie. I know. So, anyway, I'm I'm happy. If if South Carolina does the right thing, that would be wonderful. That would be great. I appreciate it, Cassandra. Yep. Children are, in some cases, just a commodity. Just another way to get more money from the the American taxpayer. Doesn't care how the child is raised. Doesn't matter what goes on with the kid, how they come out. Just give me that money now. Well, Comer, James, James Comer is man, I tell you what. He is he's doing some. Congressman Comer has labeled former president Bill Clinton as a prime suspect in his Jeffrey Epstein investigation and put forth a farfetched theory, this is according to Daily Mail, a farfetched theory that he could be punished with jail time if he skips the meeting. House oversight committee James Comer fanned the flames at his ongoing probe into, Jeffrey Epstein doing an interview on Newsmax, Monday night. Everyone in America wants to know what went on on Epstein's Island, and we've all heard reports that Bill was a frequent visitor there. So he's a prime suspect to be be deposed by the house oversight committee. Clinton has denied visiting Epstein's Island, also known as Little Saint James Island. I didn't know it, but I'd I've actually cruised by that. I didn't know that. Trump has claimed that the former dinner Democratic president made many trips to the island in The Caribbean. Earlier this month, Comer issued a subpoena to both Bill and Hillary Clinton to compel them to testify before the panel on matters related to Epstein. Hillary Clinton is being asked to sit for a deposition on October 9, and the committee wants to depose Bill Clinton on October 14. And we've got others as well. So here was, Comer over on Newsmax. Our Kentucky congressman chairman of the House Oversi ...

Alright. Let's go to the WRD talk line. 809050989. We'll talk to Bob in Greer. Wants to talk about the last caller. Bob, what's your opinion this afternoon? Yeah. Hey, Charlie. Thanks for taking my call. I just wanted to say upfront, I voted for Trump all three times he won. The 2020 was obviously stolen. Right. The, the last one of the last callers, he was talking about us, having a false sense of security, after bombing Iran that we he what if we didn't hit him with a one two knockout punch? Well, we we aren't gonna cease our our intelligence operations after this bombing. We're still gonna keep our our eye on the situation. I I don't I think that's just, an an invalid objection to it. Yeah. They didn't just come home and go, well, we did it, but let's move on to the next thing. Right. This is ongoing. You're right about that. Yes. But, I mean, I just I don't understand, some of this this this ideology that's going under where people think that Iran's gonna come that Iran was just talking about nuking Israel. I mean, they were they were a world threat. And I'll tell you this, Bob. I don't think that they were planning on making nuclear bombs to use themselves. I think they're going to sell them to terrorist organizations. Yeah. Yeah. I I I think that was a a distinct possibility as well. Yep. So I appreciate it, Bob. Thank you. Let's go to Joe in Rock Hill. Joe, what's your opinion? Oh, first of all, I I think people are are not asking the right questions. Why would you have to build a nuclear facility 200 feet down in the middle of a mountain for peaceful means? Yeah. That just doesn't make any sense. For nuclear energy. That yeah. Exactly. When you you have one of the largest oil reserves in the world Yeah. That energy should be very cheap for you anyway. So that doesn't make any sense that it was for peaceful means. We've already established that they spent more center fusions and more uranium than they needed for peaceful means. So why are you stockpiling land? You know? That just doesn't make any sense that people are are also up in arms about this. And I find it I find it hilarious too that they're up in arms that we we did this. Okay? Whether we did it to help Israel or not, we did it for ourselves and the rest of the world. The Middle East has gotta come to the realization, and Trump is trying to do this now on two occasions. His first trip to the Middle East, he told them, you guys gotta stop policing yourselves. And I think Saudi Arabia, I think Qatar, The UAE, I think they're all starting to realize that Iran is a problem in the Middle East. Yeah. If you go under the Shah's reign for forty years, they only had border squabbles. They weren't looking to in infiltrate in Syria. They weren't looking to be with the Houthis. They wasn't looking to be part of a Hezbollah. But since the Shah has been in power, they have asserted, their flat law to to encompass the whole Middle East, and they're not just a threat to Israel. They're a threat to Saudi Arabia. Do you think if they could take out that kingdom and take it over, they wouldn't? Oh, yeah. Would Iraq for how many years back and forth? Right. Okay? They're they're they're in Syria. So people gotta start smartening up. That region has been under siege since the beginning of the Bible, and it will be till the end. So if we can kinda calm it down a little bit, then we have to do what we have to do for for everybody's safety. It's not just America. I agree, Joe. Thank you so much for your call. Henry, what's going on with you this afternoon? Hey. How's it going, Donald? Hi. This is it. Wanna tell you about that bleeding heart liberal, James. Yeah. He's a perfect example of of why we're in trouble today, you know, in America. I mean, you know, he won't pay, and they always wanna rationalize. When somebody say we want death to America, what else do you need to hear? Exactly. I'm seven years old. We've been fighting for America all my life. Yeah. And ...

And welcome back to the program. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We've talked to James in Greenville. James, welcome, my friend. How are you? Hey, Jay. Hey, Charles. Hey, bud. First time caller, man. First time caller, you get the bell. Alright. What's up? Hey, man. I got some gout information for you. Okay. Hi, man. You wanna stay on some allopurinol from your doctor, and you wanna drink plenty of water. Yeah. If you look at uric acid, you'd be good. I had to give up shrimp for a while. I got all that, and I can eat shrimp again. I oh, I sat down, and I ate a pound of shrimp. You gotta drink plenty of water. Oh my gosh. Water. Water. Water. I appreciate it, man. Thank you, James. It was excruciating. I looked it up. I said it was only 450 calories. I said that's got to be PhD approved. That's got to be 450 calories for a pound of shrimp. Sat down, ate it all by myself. Ankle just just crunched. It just went and I was like, oh, no. What have I done? So but thank you for the, for the advice. I appreciate it. I so president Trump goes over there, bombs ran, and I all these people losing their minds. I had do you really want me to, JJ? Do you really want me to? I think I I don't know about that. I don't know. Should I play it? I don't know. Let me think. Let me think. I don't know. Should I play it? Let me just weigh this for just a second. I don't know. Okay. Here we go. Alright. There you go. Vince Vance and the Valiant's, which, by the way, if you've never heard Vince Vance and the Valiant's Christmas album, that's really great. It really is good. Interesting story about Vince Vance. Go look that up. He had he was in a custody battle with his ex wife, and it was, it was fascinating to watch. Anyway, there you go. There's Vince Vance and the Valiant bomb around. So every I had a caller had a caller that said, here's what we should do, and I think they might be right. What president Trump should have come out and done was he should have said, ladies and gentlemen, we're sick and tired of the Ayatollah's treatment of the LGBTQ community. So we're gonna bomb Iran starting tomorrow, and everybody would've been, oh, I love this man. He is standing up for the LGBTQ community. We love him. He's so wonderful, and everybody would have been on his side. Everybody would have done it. Oh, he's so ill. He's pro LGBTQ. But now we got even people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, you know, losing her mind over this thing. And I'm kinda wondering about the future of MAGA. I really am. If these people are so willing to turn their backs on Donald Trump so quickly And not only that, some of this blatant antisemitism that's going on with a lot of these folks is pretty concerning as well. So president Trump goes over there, and he bombs Iran. He wasn't the first person to say something about Iran's nuclear program. He wasn't the first. Many have said it. Wanna hear? Here we go. United States is clear. We will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon. If I'm the president, we will attack Iran. Whatever stage of development they might be in their nuclear weapons program in the next ten years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them. That's a terrible thing to say, but those people who run Iran need to understand that. Make no mistake, a nuclear armed Iran is not a challenge that can be contained. It would threaten the elimination of Israel, the security of Gulf nations, and the stability of the global economy. It risks triggering a nuclear arms race in the region and the unraveling of the Non Proliferation Treaty. That's why a coalition of countries is holding the Iranian government accountable. And that's why The United States will do what we must to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. As long as I'm president of The United States, Iran will not get a nuclear weapon. I've made that clear when I came into office. And look, I mean, Iran has Amer ...

$WRD +5.7% premarket a $9.63.
