This week on After Hours Ken and Adam talk about one of the biggest upcoming games of the year. Rounding out the PS4 / Xbone lifecycle is CD Projekt Red's massive Cyberpunk 2077. We get into all the details of everything we've seen so far and talk about whether or not we're hyped to dive in.
Episode 5... Civilization 6. Too bad this episode didn’t happen to be the 6th one. Civ 6 is coming to PS4 & Xbone and the DLC coming to the Switch later this year, now is a good time to look back at the base game before jumping into the true beast of a game the dlc will create.
This week we have a full party! Goobz and Toby discuss the more recent game Friday The 13Th with Kristen from Secret Transmission Podcast and Richie from Best Darn Diddly Review Show! A new Star Wars film has come out this year (Rogue One) and it has us wondering... Where are all the damn Star Wars games lately? All we have on PS4/Xbone thus far is Battlefront. Granted we have a couple to look forward to like the Bladerunner-esque Star Wars game by the writer of Uncharted 1-3. So expect a highly stylized and cinematic game in the next few years. However we muse what exactly happened to the franchise (gaming wise) and then discuss what we would want from a future Star Wars game.

This past week or so has been a sad time for the Videogame Industry, especially for the fine folk over at Joystiq, who have not only had to deal with AOL closing down their operation, but also the loss of ex-staffer Andrew Yoon, who died tragically in a lake accident on the 30th January. Andrew was a regular contributor on the late great Weekend Confirmed Podcast and if it weren't for that show (and indeed, the Joystiq Podcast) then there's no way this show would exist. The end of an Era it most certainly is."The show must go on" though, as they say - and so we have a whole bunch of news for you this week, including an MMO update regarding The Elder Scrolls Online's new pay model and the ressurection of APB for current-gen consoles. We also discuss how the German ratings board are treating VR games seperately to those played on more traditional screens and let loose some info on a bunch of new games announced since we last recorded, including Ubisoft's Grow Home and some actual proper indie titles like 35mm, Virginia & White Night. All this and more on another news-packed #NOTplaying Podcast!RIP Andrew Yoon http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/2u6bo6/andrew_yoon_formerly_of_joystiq_and_shacknews_has/Joystiq is definitely closing :( http://www.joystiq.com/2015/01/27/joystiq-closing-shop/Sony sells SOE http://techcrunch.com/2015/02/02/sony-sells-sony-online-entertainment/?ncid=rss#D4gaVd:oETElder Scrolls Online going FTP March 17, Consoles get it June 9 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-01-21-elder-scrolls-online-gets-console-release-date-drops-subscriptionAPB ressurected for PS4/Xbone: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-01-22-free-to-play-apb-reloaded-announced-for-playstation-4-xbox-oneNew Nvidia 960 series GPU: http://www.polygon.com/2015/1/22/7868903/nvidia-geforce-gtx-960-launch-date-moba-league-of-legendsDifferent ratings for the same games on Screens vs HMD http://vrfocus.com/archives/11121/german-ratings-board-rates-project-morpheus-title-higher-hmd-screen/Journey Across an Apocalyptic Russia in “35MM” http://www.onlysp.com/35mm-steam-greenlight-camapaign/Ubisoft are releasing a PC game next month called 'Grow Home' http://www.polygon.com/2015/1/22/7875501/grow-home-ubisoft-steamShape of the World (Official Teaser): http://youtu.be/gsqPkvMpum0Virginia http://variablestate.com/virginia/White Night http://youtu.be/7JoT5KFD7AkIdentity is really close to making it's kickstarter goal https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/asylum/identity?ref=48hrRob @bobirokaPatrick @patrickjkayIain @ebowgbContact us on Email at: notplayingpodcast@gmail.comFollow us on Twitter: @notplayingpodYou can find the show notes for this show at www.notlistening.co.ukIf you're listening on iTunes, please give us a review! To Check out other shows in the Collection visit:http://barkerpodcasts.webs.com Including the #NOTwatching Podcast: http://www.spreaker.com/show/the-notwatching-podcast

STILL not as delayed as Rayman Legends was! There are three metaphysical certainties in gaming: Nintendo is doomed, a certain open-world game will get 10s undeservedly and... NFR will eventually release. This time around in New Business, Stephen doubles back to current AGOTY (Austen Game of the Year) Tomb Raider, and may not be as generous in his ranking of the game at the end of the year. Austen tries his hand at solo co-op in Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons before turning his attention to a couple of under-the-radar platformers, Castle of Illusion HD (PS3 version) and Rayman Legends (Vita). Donald can indeed dig it sucka, as he proves with the 3DS's newest indie megahit SteamWorld Dig, but saves his effusive praise for a somewhat larger purchase... and apparently triggered Sony to go completely insane the night after the recording. (We'll talk about those announcements on the next show. Also, you're welcome.) Now Posted has updates on the unnecessary search for forum replacements, followed by the shortest Whatcha Watchin' in quite a while. Stephen revisits the dead-before-its-time Alphas, Donald continues the theme of underground hits with Gurren Lagann, and Austen sticks around for the final act of Inuyasha. Yeah, that's it. Since Nintendo decided to announce a bunch of stuff right after 22 recorded, we had to cover it - and unlike other outlets, we don't bury the lede. The Feature discussion covers the WiiU price drop in somewhat heavy detail, with a side of 2DS and some PS4/Xbone chasers. Finally, the Mushrooms have the very rare Double Mushroom, the trouble with Kickstarters and A NEW CAR~! Have any mail for us, hate or otherwise? Send it to nintendofreeradio@gmail.com - and until next time, BUY RETRO/GRADE. We need to cure some depression. This podcast was edited by Donald Theriault and Austen Parkin.
