Secondo me, no. E quindi ecco "Mafia III". St. Gallen Mafia, Exposing the secret reformist Group within the Church There is a somewhat obscure 8th century Irish Catholic Saint named Saint Gall who during the course of his life founded an Abby and Monastery in Switzerland, in a town now called St. Gallen which today is a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is said that near the end of his life, a bear became St. Gall's only friend. The bear, it is said, brought him wood for his fire.  To this day, the Abbey still stands in the town of St. Gallen Switzerland. The image of a bear is on its Coat of arms. St. Gallen Mafia, Exposing the secret reformist Group within the Church,  is the title of an intriguing, challenging and thought provoking book by Julia Meloni. She meticulously pieces together documented events and writings, surrounding power struggles within the Roman Catholic Church leading up too, and after the death of Saint Pope John Paul the second.  For a non Catholic it reads like a factual thriller and for the Catholic the book could feel more dire and be seen as the beginnings of the complete takedown of 2000 years of Catholic Tradition.

Debra Wilson is probably best known for her eight seasons on the former Fox late night sketch comedy series, MADtv (1995-2003). She began her career in New York City theater, where she was born and raised and attended the High School of Performing Arts. With numerous guest star appearances in both network comedy and drama series' and a score of independent films, she continues to concentrate her craft in the realm of voice over and motion capture; with her first motion capture project, as the prototype model for ‘Ney'tiri,' played by Zoe Saldana, in James Cameron's AVATAR. Voice over work began much earlier for Wilson, as a narrator for quite a few E! Entertainment celebrity specials, and then solidly into everything else, from animation for television and film, ADR & looping, network announcing, radio commercials, books on tape, theme park attractions, to a wide range of video games. Debra has worked on well over sixty video games to date, some of which include six different World of Warcraft games and Blizzard's current games, Hearthstone On Line and Orbis, plus God of War, Final Fantasy XV, Mafia III, Gears of War 4, The Walking Dead: The Final Season, and several Call of Duty games, and most recently, WORLD of WARCRAFT: The Battle For Azeroth, Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart, and DESTINY 2: The Witch Queen. Motion capture credits include The Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, Wolfenstein: Young Blood, Far Cry: Primal, STAR WARS JEDI: Fallen Order, Days Gone, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, God Of War, and Just Cause 4. TV voice over credits include the Announcer on NBC's The Weakest Link, hosted by Jane Lynch, Curious George on PBS, The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show, The Boondocks, All Hail King Julien on NETFLIX, Mao Mao and the Heroes of Pure Heart on The Cartoon Network, and a few new top secret projects in television animation and video games. She also voices “Grandma Shark”, on the Nickelodeon series, Baby Shark's Big Show, and reoccurs as Terra Snapdragon on Disney's Owl House. In this episode you will learn: What your relationship to your art should look like. How to collaborate and take chances in the booth as a voiceover actor. Debra's journey that stripped away everything (even her hair) to reemerge as a the highest version of herself. How spirituality and connection to your true source can help you overcome the anxiety that comes with "trying to give them what they want." What we were put her on this earth (in the form of storytellers) to do. Debra is a very private person and rarely does interviews, so this was a treat. Welcome to Dev Game Club, where this week we are beginning to come dangerously close to spending longer talking about Republic Commando than we did playing it. This time, we get a look behind art development for Star Wars through the eyes and voices of two artists who worked on the title: Greg Knight, who was the principal concept artist for the game, and Paul Pierce, who designed the look and feel of the user interface. Dev Game Club looks at classic video games and plays through them over several episodes, providing commentary. Podcast breakdown: 0:45 Interview segment 1:14:39 Break 1:15:14 Feedback Issues covered: how Paul got his start, web design in the 90s, learning 3D modeling, how Greg got his start, the ubiquity of LucasFilm in Marin, making an important connection and getting an unstoppable recommendation, the importance of art in establishing a game, the design of HUDs and menus, the distinction between UX and UI, how UI art got into the game, iterating the UI in response to the game you're building, starting out as a texture artist, imagining rooms as a whole and getting noticed for your control of tone, an exciting time to learn about concept art, being a force multiplier for the art team, the need for concept art with rising fidelity, keeping cohesive style and flow in the art by use of concept art as well as art direction, differences with film, what immersive experiences mean for content, lacking control of camera, good ideas coming from all over, vs auteurism, putting a burden on UI aesthetics by being always first-person, bringing in the visor pieces, losing visual real estate and that conversation, the impact on design on art decisions, putting the ammo readouts on the guns, marking up renders to figure out where UI elements would go, weapons as characters, running into resistance with the programmers, the ways programmers can... avoid work, the conversation you have to have around iteration cost, fitting into a palette, designing vehicles that didn't exist in canon, coming up with the tone of a more deadly clone story, figuring out who the clones even were, figuring out what the side stories were, imagining beyond the borders of the film, morphing to a different scale, how little a Geonosian means to a Jedi and how much to a trooper, colorgrading and how it sells various tones and moods, giving a different interpretation of Star Wars, seeing something of Republic Commando reflected in Rogue One, focusing on what's important to your characters, the heat and contrast of the Geonosians, pulling on the film's UI elements, avoiding drama on a project, checking egos at the door, how collaborative the game was, the value of technical art, the energy of team members, tech artists as glue and bridges, the value of a demo, Neanderthal Tim, when your level is difficulty, the design ideas behind the hangars and bridge, the knobs you had to turn for storytelling through tone, having to die again and again, failure without excessive punishment, the ability level of the team, where your skills are relative to the game, improving communication between branches of the team, setting a vision without falling to design by committee, being able to deliver a new experience for a Star Wars audience, the challenge of making an AI that keeps pace with the player, "The Squad Is Your Weapon," the debate around the efficacy of the squad, building around the game's goals and how other games might attack that differently, the importance of building consensus, trying to find a way to say "yes" to an idea, "everybody can design," being able to have the squad revive you. Jesse Harlin has been a composer for video games for over 15 years. His music has been played by the London Philharmonic at Abbey Road's Studio 1, but has also has his music blasted among crowds in New York's Times Square. He is an interactive music designer building music systems with some of the top audio engineers in the industry. Some video game titles to his credit include: THE FORCE UNLEASHED, MONKEY ISLAND 2, STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC and MAFIA III. One of his most recent original scores has been for the video game, YOKU'S ISLAND EXPRESS.Yoku's Island Express, a pinball platform adventure game, launched on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch™ and PC on May 29th 2018 from Team17 and developer Villa Gorilla. Yoku, the dung beetle, has arrived on Mokumana Island to take over the role of postmaster and he's ready for the easy life, soaking up the sun and delivering parcels on a tropical paradise! However, an ancient island deity is trapped in a restless sleep - and it's all down to Yoku to traverse the island using a unique blend of pinball mechanics, platforming and open world exploration. In this episode Jesse Harlin talks about how he focused creating strange and unique instrumentation mixtures in the score: from odd toy sound pairings to percussion via beat-boxing, mixed with soft female vocal work + turntablism … run through ring modulators. He also talks about his use of language as the score starts in French but morphs into Polynesian-like-skatting to other spontaneous sounds he formed into fictional vocabulary.
