“Keeping the world at peace is an inside job.”   Believe it or not, our difficult emotional content was part of what we signed up for in this lifetime. Our experience on Earth is compelling and dramatic, yet we all came here voluntarily with the courage to take on the karma of our bodies and our experiences.   Believe it or not, YOU ARE A HEALER.   This meditation is a reminder that we have permission to forgive ourselves and our hard lessons. We have the capacity to heal ourselves. Listen in as Debra walks us down this meditative path leading to the gift of the Observer- neutrality. It's just a thought away.   In this meditation, we visualize our “little self” that is so new to this world. We all share this point of origin and we all share the impacts of trauma. We are called to reach out and say to our little self- “I've got you.” No matter how your story has unfolded or what is yet to come, this life was a full-on choice and we are all so lucky to be alive. Astrology helps us remember our life story, serving as a guiding resource to fulfill our soul's promise.   Let this meditation help you lean into the notion of loving your stories, viewing your circumstances from a place of neutrality, and generating compassion for ourselves and the world.  ——— Listen to other moments of meditation and deep conversation within The Star Library. Hey Friend! Have you started your podcast and now wonder how long it'll be until your breakthrough? How long you have to sit in the 'messy middle'? Do you find yourself frustrated or looking around wondering, what am I missing? Do you struggle with staying the course? I remember feeling the same way. That's why I asked my former student and client, Chelsi Jo Moore on the show today. She started coaching and taking my courses roughly 3 years ago. She was dedicated, disciplined, and didn't deviate from the plan. She refused to do more... or less... she committed to the course roadmap. Step-by-step she focused on the next action -- even though she was scared, even though she felt unprepared, even though she wanted to know it would work - she pushed through. 3 short years later, she has an incredible testimony of what hard work partnered with God's hand over her business can produce for the Kingdom of God. Listen in as Chelsi Jo shares how she hit 1 million downloads on her podcast and has has 55K income months in her business, which... spoiler: consists of a PODCAST and ONE COURSE. Sound familiar? haha! If you've ever gone through my courses or coached with me you know that I am a huge advocate for ONE THING until you've passed a six figure income. And that is exactly what she's done. Listen to her incredible client testimonial and see what's possible for you! Now it's your turn... You in? As we experience extremes and polarities in our society and the collective, we find ourselves feeling separate or alone. We are living in a time where information and contact with anyone across the globe is available with just the click of a button on our phones or computers, yet we still have these feelings of disconnection from others and even ourselves.  It's time to move back to the remembrance that you are not alone, because we are all one.   It's time to remember that trauma and drama are not unique to just one of us- it's something we all experience and it's part of our assignment. Do you remember why you came to Earth? In this excerpt from Debra's 2021 Astrological Awakenings Immersion, Debra aims to remind us all of our purpose. Sink into a meditation with Debra to ground in this message, and then enjoy a vibrant conversation between Debra and fellow Astrologer and Gemini, Colin Bedell.  While Debra and Colin share some potent Astrological configurations pointing to an innate and early knowing of purpose, that is not true for everyone. Debra and Colin break down the importance of self-awareness and how an Astrologer takes on the responsibility of helping others come back to themselves, fall in love with themselves, and understand their purpose.  Listen to the FULL conversation and other moments of meditation and deep conversation within The Star Library.

Diet mentality gets us in a state of being a control freak. What happens is that the very same things that we restrict ourselves from doing and eating, when we fall off track that's the very first thing we grab and hold on to.  Most often than not, we fail and keep repeating the cycle because there's this fear in us that we've never learned to let go of. If only, we learn to dig deep and heal it at the source, that's when we find the freedom and happiness that we'll see us through down the road.  Joshua Church is a co-founder @edgetheorylabs (www.edgetheorylabs.com) bringing cold water therapy to the world. He is the Director of Operations @ High Impact Coaching and helped the founder scale to multiple 7-figures and a team of 17+ in less than four years. He is on a journey to become a healthier, happier, and more successful human being. Joshua also hosts Find The Others podcast, helping ambitious people play at a higher level. In this episode, Joshua Church shares how we can learn to connect our mind and body to overcome the fears and stress that are causing us many battles. Even how much you try to find a solution for it, it just doesn't seem to go away; instead, it keeps repeating itself and showing up in other forms of struggle. He shares this modality called cold water immersion, a quick state shifter bringing massive transformational benefits to your wellbeing as it brings you up to another level in your mental, physiological, energy, and spiritual spheres. This is the kind that makes you trust yourself and your body, that you have a bigger capacity to do things more than you can ever imagine you can. "The biggest lesson that the cold has taught me is that there's strength in surrender. And it's taught me how to surrender." - Joshua Church    What you will learn from this episode: 03:35 - How Joshua's new business tied into his transformation journey 08:28 - Understanding what cold water immersion is, the science behind it, and the mental, physiological, energetic, and spiritual benefits that happens 14:02 - Mentioning big fans of cold water immersion that have seen great benefits in this modality 14:35 - What makes cold water immersion an efficient state shifter 17:04 - Talking about the dual nature of Edge portable tub and how you can use it during the winter and summer seasons 19:03 - What breath work is all about and its share of benefits to one's wellbeing 22:23 - How cold water immersion helps you to trust yourself and your body that you're more capable of doing things you didn't believe you could do 23:37 - The one biggest lesson the cold has taught Joshua   Connect with Joshua Church: Website: https://www.edgetheorylabs.com/   Connect With Leslie Thornton: weightlossalbany.com E: Leslie@LeslieMThornton.com Facebook Twitter LinkedIn

Episode SummaryWelcome to this week's episode of Thyroid Strong where Kristin Weitzel is having us sit in ice baths for our minimum effective dose of cold. That could be 30 seconds, a minute, or even longer. With each ice bath we take, the list of health benefits gets longer. Key TakeawaysCold immersion has huge benefits for our physical health but also for our emotional health. It will help us boost energy, lose weight, and reduce inflammation. It will also help us sleep better and manage stressful situations easier. Kristin Weitzel is giving us a lesson we all need to listen to and how to start that lesson today with a few DIY tips for making your own ice bath at home. The Experience of a Cold Immersion and its BenefitsThe most painful moment of the cold immersion is the expectation it is going to be cold before you immerse. Choose your coverage of clothing and begin your breathwork. Start small and over time increase the length of exposure. The goal when you get out of the ice bath or cold body of water is to have a shiver response. This experience is designed for your body to learn to manage high stress and to quickly adapt to its environment.Using Cold Immersion in your Daily Routine to Help with Hashimoto'sCold immersion can help with Hashimoto's two biggest struggles, fatigue and losing weight. In solving fatigue, plan your cold immersion around getting rest. The ice bath will down-regulate your system and allow it the opportunity to rest, so partake in an afternoon nap or do it right before dinner to go to sleep shortly after. Hashimoto's other biggest struggle of losing weight is also remedied with every cold exposure. The ice bath boosts the production of our brown adipose tissue which then eats our white fat tissue, resulting in weight loss.In This EpisodeExperience of a cold immersion [1:49]Reverse engineer the nervous system using your breath [4:24]Mammalian dive response [5:00]What happens when you get out of a cold immersion [7:25]Minimum effective dose, what is yours? This is our third “spotlight series” episode where we're reaching out to schools who are doing intriguing progressive practices that could inspire and influence others to do the same. Each has a twist on how their school is operated, and we're bringing in students and teachers to talk about it. They're not all perfect, and they'd all acknowledge there are things they'd change; but there's so much to learn from these schools as we reimagine education in our communities.Today we're featuring One Stone, a student-led nonprofit in Boise, Idaho. One Stone has a variety of initiatives to help students use their voice to change the world. Two thirds of One Stone's board are young people, who have voted to establish multiple initiatives including Project Good: an experiential service program, Two Birds: a student-led creative studio, Solution Lab: a business incubator for young people, and now Lab 51 - who we're talking with today - an independent sliding scale tuition program high school.Lab51 features interdisciplinary, human-centered problem solving which is a collaboration between young people and mentors. Students engage in a variety of selections including “Deep Dives”, which are two-week passion-driven endeavors like photography or wilderness survival, “Immersions”, which are slightly longer and mostly take place off campus, “Cannonballs” which have students experiencing a wide variety of topics in a short period of time, and finally: service- and project-based learning.Joining us are four students: Ian, Reya, Lyla, and Ella and Jesse, who is the Director of Strategic Partnerships. We talk about the fundamentals of Lab51's program, its importance to young people, and how this model could scale and be used within traditional settings.SCHOOLOne Stone's Lab51, a student-led nonprofit High School program in Boise, Idaho, centered on students navigating their path to purpose, promoting their well-being, and self-directing their learningRESOURCESOne StoneLab51BLOB (Bold Learning Objectives)Two Birds Creative Studio (One Stone's student-driven creative studio, you can sign up to work with them!)Wayfinding Mentorship Professional Growth series for educators and mentorsHuman Centered Design for supporting student-driven learning Hosted on Acast. His books have been described as a field or vertical plane for examining interior co-existences, as life moves in circles and moments and events—often years apart—unravel and overlap, informing new meanings. Raymond Meeks lives and works in the Hudson Valley (New York). His work is represented in private and public collections including the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., Bibliotheque Nationale, France, and the George Eastman House, with recent solo exhibitions at Casemore Kirkeby in San Francisco and Wouter van Leeuwen in Amsterdam. In this episode, I am joined by someone who literally makes the hairs on my arms stand up, Kaya Usher. Kaya Usher is no different than you. She grew up in a traditional family in Toronto, Canada. She went to University and fell in love with her husband Gord Downie at 20 years of age. They got married and had 4 amazing children. His music career took off beyond their wildest dreams and life got very busy and full. Then, in her forties, Kaya discovered frequencies following a major health challenge and the loss of Gord. It was then, in the depths of grief that she learned how to harness frequencies to shift her life, and the lives of others. Today, she lives so present and aware of her eternal self that her deepest desire is to help others find the Truth of their Brilliance. This is a mission that burns so strong in her now. She debuted her first album in the Fall of 21 - All This Is, as well as her first book - The Simplicity Platform: Harness The Power of Frequencies to Shift Your Life in Winter of 22. Today we are talking all things frequency work and simplicity!    Connect with us - Thank you for joining us today. No matter what your relationship to food is, we all live in a world manipulated by an addiction business model. We're constantly confronted with ads for foods that have been designed to make us want more, and it began when the tobacco industry started buying up brands like Nabisco and Kraft Foods. This is a gripping conversation about the intersections of human behavior, evolution, and modern-day consumer habits.  "Diet-related diseases have surpassed smoking-related diseases as the leading cause for natural death, so I think of processed food like cigarettes." - Dr. Joan Ifland What we discuss in this episode: How the addiction business model applies to food How do we get addicted to food?
