Parliamo di una software house che nella sua epoca d'oro non aveva problemi ad imbarcarsi a palle di fuori in follie come "sviluppiamo la risposta Xbox a Metal Gear Solid 2", tirando fuori poi perle come il primo Splinter Cell che facevano sembrare per tanti versi Snake indietro di una generazione. La fisica, l'approccio full-sandbox allo stealth, tutto dannatamente plausibile e serio laddove Kojima infilava tamarrate tipo la scena "Infinite Ammo" alla fine di Sons of Liberty che ti smonta l'erezione. Parliamo di chi si è comprato Prince of Persia e l'ha sempre spinto ben oltre quello che Jordan Mechner da solo era riuscito a fare. Le Sabbie del Tempo che ancora oggi è un platform 3D della madonna, il Dahaka di Spirito Guerriero che ti fa ancora cacare addosso se ci ripensi, il Principe Oscuro ne I Due Troni e quel livello tutto nella mente dove dovevi semplicemente accettarlo piuttosto di combatterlo, come aveva già fatto Mechner nel 1989, ma coi mezzi del 2003. E poi il capitolo strano del 2008, Assassin's Creed che nasce da qui per diventare una delle serie che ha caratterizzato di più la nostra adolescenza, il grande ritorno con The Lost Crown finito malissimo soprattutto per colpa nostra. Parliamo di Assassin's Creed, che prima di diventare una minestra riscaldata ha tirato fuori della roba veramente pazzesca. Di Watch Dogs e di come speravamo potesse rifarlo (e in realtà Watch Dogs 2 un po' lo rifà), della roba "minore" fatta in UbiArt che minore manco per il cazzo visto che Rayman Legends è ancora il miglior platform che puoi giocare al di fuori del Vangelo secondo Nintendo. Ubisoft ha fatto anche cose buone. Cose davvero buone. E ricordarle oggi che probabilmente siamo ad un passo dal vederla fare la fine di Atari fa molto più male del Far Cry pacco coi Mammut.

In our news segment, we dive into Fortnite's announcement of their Battle Royale mode and PUBG's response to it. We also talk on the Tokyo Game Show which had a good amount of release dates revealed for Sony included a January release for Monster Hunter Worlds. Our discussion topic this week is over Destiny 2. Now that we've had a few weeks with the game we wanted to talk about the changes we've seen between D1 and D2. We cover differences in story, the world, progression and the ever popular raids.
