RPP, Radio Programas del Perú, cumple 60 años, y en esta nueva entrega de Patricia del Río lo dedica a unos de los inventos más grandes al servicio de la humanidad, la radio. Un medio de comunicación de masas que trasciende en el tiempo y que constituye una de las herramientas más importantes para trasmitir información, cultura, noticias, sin distinción de raza, edad y sexo. Autores como Mario Vargas Llosa (‘La tía Julia y el escribidor', ‘Pantaleón y las visitadoras'), Manuel Puig (Boquitas pintadas'), Julio Cortázar (la radio está presente en su vida y en su narrativa), Daniel Alarcón (‘Radio Ciudad Perdida'), y Anthony Doerr (‘La luz que no puedes ver', Premio Pulitzer 2015) por citar algunos, han recreado historias de radio en cada una de sus obras. En la entrevista de la semana, la socióloga rural, Mane Vattuone, recrea con fino humor en ‘Con el diablo encima y otros cuentos' (Kimochi Soluciones Editoriales, 2023) historias de sobrevivencia de los caseríos del Alto Piura. Con una honestidad conmovedora, la autora mantiene intacta la oralidad con que sus habitantes reconstruyen y nombran una realidad mágica y a veces aterradora donde la cura de los males del cuerpo y del alma se consiguen apelando a brebajes, hechizos y ritos.
