Queridos amigos de “El Legado de Borges 2.0”, hoy traemos a nuestro podcast el primer capítulo de un clásico de ciencia ficción escrito en el año de 1965 por Frank Herbert: Dune. De la misma manera que sucedió con Harry Potter, Dune fue rechazada muchas veces antes de su publicación pero actualmente es reconocida como una de los mejores novelas y ha ganado premios tan importantes como el Premio Hugo en 1966 y el Premio Nébula en 1965, ambos como la mejor novela de ciencia ficción.El éxito que alcanzó Dune la llevó a ser considerada la novela de Sci Fi más vendida y reconocida, por lo que Herbert se animó a crecer su universo y alcanzó a escribir 6 libros más antes de su muerte en 1968. Lo curioso es que su hijo continuó con su legado y escribió muchas precuelas que están conectadas con los 6 primeros libros que escribió su padre.La trama central de la historia, tal y como Herbert nos la cuenta, se desarrolla en un futuro lejano, donde el universo es gobernado por un emperador y por varias casas poderosas que controlan los distintos planetas. Ambos son personas adultas que cohabitan la casa familiar para mantenerla y evitar que se convierta en ruinas.
