At our glorious Children's Day Celebration Service, Teleola Ashiru-Balogun shared an inspiring message built around this year's theme: We Shine. We Rise. We Win. Reading from Isaiah 60:1 and Matthew 5:14, she reminded us that God's call to shine is not limited to children but extends to every member of the family. As children of God, we are called to rise above limitations, reflect God's light, and positively influence the world around us. The message encouraged both children and adults to embrace their God given identity and live as lights wherever they are. A key reminder from the message was that children often learn more from what their parents do than from what they say. As such, families were challenged to model godly values, faith, and character before the next generation. The charge was clear: when parents shine, children are inspired to shine; when families rise together, they can win together. It was a beautiful celebration of faith, family, purpose, and the bright future God has prepared for His people. Confession: I am a child of God. My family will shine, my family will rise, and my family will win. We will serve God faithfully, succeed in life, and do great exploits for His glory. We will become everything God has called us to be and fulfil His purpose for our lives, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

On Friday, June 12, 2026, the United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) achieved a historic milestone by scoring four goals in a World Cup match for the first time ever. In front of an enthusiastic home crowd of 70,492 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the USMNT secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Paraguay, marking a record-breaking and explosive opening match for their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign. This remarkable scoring display showcased the innovative and aggressive attacking strategy of new manager Mauricio Pochettino:7th Minute (1-0): The U.S. made an early breakthrough when a dangerous cross from Weston McKennie deflected off Paraguayan midfielder Damián Bobadilla, resulting in an own goal. 31st Minute (2-0): Striker Folarin Balogun netted his first World Cup goal with a precise finish following a well-placed pass from captain Christian Pulisic.45+5 Minute (3-0): Just before halftime, Balogun struck again, evading two defenders to curl a stunning shot into the top-left corner of the net. 98th Minute (4-1): After Paraguay managed to score in the 73rd minute through Mauricio, midfielder Gio Reyna concluded a sequence of over 20 passes deep into stoppage time with a spectacular 'trivela' strike using the outside of his right foot, sealing the historic scoreline. The four goals exceeded the team's previous World Cup single-game record of three goals, which had only been accomplished in 1930 (against Belgium and Paraguay) and 2002 (against Portugal). Folarin Balogun also became the first American player to score multiple goals in a single World Cup match since Bert Patenaude recorded a hat-trick in 1930.Late-Game Drama: Gio Reyna's goal in the eighth minute of stoppage time is now the latest regulation goal ever scored by the U.S. in World Cup history.

(27:07) Plus, Charlie tips his hat to Folarin Balogun's latest highlight-reel moment (49:05), and the guys debate the whether Weston McKennie has surpassed Christian Pulisic as the team's MVP (55:25). Call It What You Want, presented by Zillow, dives into a pivotal moment for the USMNT as the March camp ramps up ahead of a high-profile friendly against Belgium. Jimmy Conrad, Charlie Davies, and Tony Meola break down the club form of Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun (08:15), and debate whether the USMNT's attacking core is finally finding its rhythm at the right time. The crew also assess Malik Tillman's first season at Leverkusen (15:53) and discuss who should be trusted from the penalty spot when it matters most (18:55). Plus, after Tim Ream calls this the “most important camp” yet, the crew reflect on their own experiences fighting for spots with the national team - and push back on the idea that performances in camp alone determine a coach's decisions. So what really matters to Mauricio Pochettino when evaluating his bubble players (31:57)? Plus, Ricardo Pepi's move to Fulham looks in doubt (48:33) while Orlando City get a big boost with Antoine Griezmann set to join the MLS strugglers (54:35).
