Rick Stroud and Steve Versnick on the Buccaneers decision to cut Kyle Trask after 4 seasons as Teddy Bridgewater will be the backup quarterback. The 2021 Draft class for Tampa Bay turned out to be a bust. Desmond Watson is among other cuts for Tampa Bay that must be finalized by 4pm today. Pat and Aaron open today's show with a recap of Juniuor Caminero's 2 HR performance last night where the Rays shutout the Guardians, and we analyze the Bucs move to cut Kyle Trask as their backup QB.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback room just took a major turn. After re-signing Kyle Trask to a one-year deal this offseason, the team is releasing him with an injury settlement following a preseason shoulder injury. With Trask out, Teddy Bridgewater slides into the QB2 role behind Baker Mayfield, and rookie Connor Bazelak could stick on the practice squad. On this episode of The Bucs Report Podcast, host Dan Holmi welcomes Louie Leitao of the Frozen Pirate Podcast to break down what Trask's departure means for Tampa Bay, Bridgewater's fit as the backup, and how the Bucs may approach their QB future. The conversation also covers the Buccaneers waiving Shilo Sanders after his preseason ejection, plus full preseason takeaways including Tez Johnson's breakout, depth concerns on the offensive line, and the battle for roster spots. Finally, Dan and Louie look ahead to Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons — with Baker Mayfield leading the offense, Tristan Wirfs' health in question, and the Bucs labeled as a potential dark horse contender in the NFC. Training camp is over and it's almost time to set up the tailgates, so naturally, we're talking hoops on this lovely August evening! With the CAA dropping the full schedule for the 2025-26 season, we've now got a full picture of the road to DC and UNCW's unprecedented 20-game home schedule. The Seahawks will have to find their footing on the road in January, but things set up nicely for Trask to be rocking in February. With 60 days until the first exhibition game, a few thoughts on the roster, too!

Rick Stroud and Steve Versnick on the Buccaneers 29-7 win over the Titans in the first preseason game that saw Kyle Trask play well, Rachaad White get hurt and some off the radar guys show out. Plus the Rays get swept in Seattle after blowing a late lead on Friday night and Shane McClanahan still having nerve issues. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers opened their 2025 preseason with a convincing 29-7 win over the Tennessee Titans, showing strong performances across the board despite missing most starters. Kyle Trask delivered a solid outing, connecting often with standout receiver Ryan Miller, who made highlight-reel catches and boosted his case for a roster spot. Sean Tucker impressed with explosive, physical runs behind a surprisingly dominant backup offensive line that kept quarterbacks clean all night. Rookies like Emeka Egbuka, Jacob Parrish, and undrafted linebacker Nick Jackson also flashed playmaking ability, while punter Riley Dixon contributed with two strong punts, one pinning the Titans inside the 10.The only major concern came with running back Rachaad White leaving the game early due to a groin injury. Head coach Todd Bowles said tests will determine the severity, noting that groin injuries can vary from a quick recovery to a multi-week absence. In the meantime, Tucker appears ready to step into a bigger role, with Bowles praising his vision, contact balance, and breakaway speed. With the backups passing their first big test and Trask solidifying himself as QB2, the Bucs will now look ahead while monitoring White's health closely.Heading to a Bucs game this season?Or maybe the Rays, Lightning — heck, even a concert in Tampa?Make your life easier with SeatGeek — the only ticket app that rates every deal so you know you're getting the best bang for your buck. And right now, SeatGeek is giving Bucs MinuteCast listeners $20 off your first ticket purchase over $50.Just download the SeatGeek app or visit the link in the show notes — and use promo code: MINUTECAST.That's MINUTECAST — for 20 bucks off.Your seat starts here.SeatGeek.com Learn more about your ad choices. Daily Soap Opera Spoilers by Soap Dirt (GH, Y&R, B&B, and DOOL)
Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt Days of our Lives sees Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) once again finds herself in hot water due to another sketchy adoption scheme, possibly leading to her incarceration at Statesville Prison. This time, former DA Melinda and Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) are working together to cover up the birth of Tate Black's (Leo Howard) and Sophia's son, Tesoro. Sophia, under pressure from Melinda, falsely tells Tate that she gave birth in Chicago and the baby was taken by an adoptive couple. DOOL fans know this is not Melinda's first controversial adoption arrangement. She previously worked with Eric Brady's (Greg Vaughan) ex, Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty), to set up a similar scheme involving Nicole Walker's (Arianne Zucker) baby. The adoption plans eventually unraveled, and Melinda narrowly escaped prosecution due to her connections with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Days of our Lives sees Melinda's current actions could have severe consequences if Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Tate discover her involvement. Both men have a personal vendetta against Melinda due to her history with Eric, Brady's brother. Furthermore, Sophia's mother, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson), may demand Melinda's disbarment for her role in the scheme. Soap Dirt is the most subscribed to YouTube soap opera channel. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers open their preseason against the Tennessee Titans without Baker Mayfield or newly signed backup Teddy Bridgewater taking the field. That means quarterback Kyle Trask gets the start — and perhaps his most important audition yet. With Bridgewater's veteran résumé looming in the background, Trask must prove he can lock down the No. 2 quarterback role in a game where all eyes will be on him.But the QB battle isn't the only storyline. Tampa Bay has heated competitions at wide receiver, defensive back, and along the defensive line. From Sterling Shepard's veteran push to rookie safety Shilo Sanders making a case for a roster spot, the opener could shape the depth chart. This is the game where fringe players can make — or break — their Buccaneers future.Heading to a Bucs game this season?Or maybe the Rays, Lightning — heck, even a concert in Tampa?Make your life easier with SeatGeek — the only ticket app that rates every deal so you know you're getting the best bang for your buck. And right now, SeatGeek is giving Bucs MinuteCast listeners $20 off your first ticket purchase over $50.Just download the SeatGeek app or visit the link in the show notes — and use promo code: MINUTECAST.That's MINUTECAST — for 20 bucks off.Your seat starts here.SeatGeek

Eddie Trask was raised Catholic, but by college, had fallen away from his faith. When he came back to Christianity, it was through Evangelical and non-denominational congregations, and it was through meeting his wife and going through some significant family struggles together that things really began to turn around. As they began to grow together in faith, they realized they needed a firmer foundation than what they were standing on, and that search for truth and stability led them and their family home to the Catholic Church.

In the spring of 1999, songwriter/recording artist Arlan Feiles received a call from Stephen Trask. Trask shared that he was the composer of a show running at the Jane St. Theater in NYC called Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and he was looking for a multi instrumentalist/vocalist for the show's first touring run in Boston. As soon as Arlan heard Trask's magnificent songs, he was on board. 25 years later, Arlan will be reprising his role as Skshp for a 3 week run at the Bell Works Theater in NJ with musician/performer Remember Jones as Hedwig, AND he joins us to unpack the show's pure rock and roll heart that is the Original Cast Recording.
