On this classic ID the Future, Robert J. Marks interviews Roger Olsen, co-author of the groundbreaking book The Mystery of Life's Origin. In the work's epilogue the authors suggested that a designing intelligence stands as the best explanation for the origin of life. And with a revised and greatly expanded new edition of the book now available, Olsen says that more than thirty-five years of additional research from the origin-of-life community have left their conclusions stronger than ever. Olsen is now an environmental scientist, and in a latter part of the interview, he tells a hair-raising story about his work abroad trying to protect families and communities from the ravages of environmental pollution. Join us as we consider the wisdom and experiences of a Godly man of faith, science, and scholarship. Walter Bradley has been a longtime friend to the Hill Country Institute and is a Fellow of the Institute. He partnered with us to bring Christian leaders together with differing views on faith and science in our Vibrant Dance of Faith and Science Initiative. His statesmanship made it comfortable for people to come together as fellow believers who want to study science, theology, and philosophy, but who disagree on many nuances. Listen as he shares treasured nuggets of wisdom about life in Christ and what it means to live fully for Him.
On this ID the Future from the vault, host Robert J. Marks interviews chemist Charles Thaxton about a seminal 1984 book he co-authored, The Mystery of Life's Origin, foundational to the intelligent design movement. The main body of Mystery was generally praised, Thaxton explains. It was the epilogue that proved controversial. There the three authors reviewed five proposed explanations for life's origins and suggested that the best explanation was that the first life originated through an act of creative intelligence. Thaxton also tells a little about the recently revised and expanded edition of the book, with new contributions from Stephen Meyer, Brian Miller, James Tour, and others. Source

Hi there,Welcome to the Ireland Chapter PMI Podcast. EP12 & March 2019. In this month’s show you’re going to hear content we recorded at our national conference back in 28th February in Fota Ireland resort, Cork. This was a total sell out and I have to say, it was the best PM event I’ve been at in the decade since I’ve been going to these. Now I’m sure you’re thinking, I’m biased. But this has been echoed back to me during the event and since. It just seemed to work very well. You’d hope it was executed flawlessly as it’s a PM conference but still…and with Barry Murphy, from Après Match fame, the MC, there was certainly a lot of humour added to it. We recorded a number of interviews on the day with the presenters and some attendees. We also recorded the presentation that Dermott Bannon gave along with the Interview I did on stage with Jim Snyder. More on these in coming episodes. For today, I hope you enjoy the short interviews I did with both Dermot Bannon and Walter Bradley as well as 3 clips from some of the attendees on the day as I asked them, to align with the theme of the conference, how they’ve used Project Management to turn Ideas into Reality. Enjoy the podcast & have a great week.Rob
