It's Witness Wednesday! Todd Friel takes to the streets for witness encounters. Through these candid discussions, Todd explores the complexities of faith, sin, and salvation, aiming to uncover what people truly believe about eternity. Segment 1: • Todd explains why purgatory isn't biblical, teaching that believers are made perfect instantly after death. Segment 2: • Jordan denies God's existence and dismisses the afterlife as a fairy tale. • Todd challenges him on sin, judgment, and eternity, exposing deep contradictions in Jordan's thinking. • Despite resisting, Jordan hears the gospel message and leaves with something serious to ponder. Segment 3: • Lindsey believes she'll reach heaven because she's “a good person”, but Todd walks her through the 10 Commandments to show her need for forgiveness. • Erin, a recent Catholic school graduate, struggles with balancing religion, lifestyle, and true repentance. • Both confront the reality of sin and leave questioning what they truly believe about salvation. Segment 4: • Garrett, 19, shares how his search for meaning through drugs and partying left him empty. • Now a born-again Christian, he explains Christ's sacrifice and why faith isn't just about belief but transformation. • His story becomes the surprise twist of the day, revealing hope for anyone seeking redemption. ___ Thanks for listening! We are kicking off a new series called You Asked For It. This week, Pastor Adam teaches on Heaven and Hell.
On this episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we confront the horrific attack at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. The shooter, Robert “Robin” Westman, once walked those same halls as a student. Years of unchecked mental illness and spiritual rebellion ended in bloodshed.America is in denial. We refuse to face the truth: the transgender movement is built on a Satanic lie. No one can change the sex God gave them. Pretending otherwise doesn't heal broken souls, it destroys them and puts others in danger.Christians must speak plainly. Love does not mean affirming sin or confusion. Love means pointing people back to Christ, who alone gives us our identity. Until our nation repents and turns back to God, tragedies like this will only increase.Pray for the victims and their families.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

In this episode, Aaron McManus and his father, Erwin McManus, dive into a deeply engaging Q&A, taking on listener-submitted questions around theology, scripture, and spiritual formation. They begin by opening up the format, inviting the community into the conversation, and encouraging engagement beyond the podcast through live discussions and the Mind Shift community platform. Aaron shares the structure for the episode, giving Erwin space to unpack major theological ideas while also fielding more personal and philosophical inquiries about belief, interpretation, and spiritual leadership. Their dynamic sets the tone for an open, curious, and deeply reflective exchange of ideas.A core question raised early in the episode is whether the Bible is infallible. Erwin answers by distinguishing between the perfection of truth and the imperfection of its human messengers. He explains that though written by fallible individuals, the Bible's intent is not deception but revelation—it is true in what it reveals about God and humanity. Drawing parallels to scientific principles, he likens scripture to the discovery of infallible truths by imperfect people. This launches a broader conversation about the purpose of the Bible—not just to know scripture, but to know God through it.As the episode deepens, Aaron and Erwin explore resources and tools for better understanding scripture. Erwin emphasizes learning in community, where questions are not only allowed but necessary for growth. He reflects on his own early study practices, which included studying Greek and Hebrew and relying on commentaries and physical books. Their discussion touches on how historical and cultural context shapes interpretation and how staying connected to the original languages can preserve nuance often lost in translation. They also reflect on the influence of decisions made at the Council of Nicaea and how certain texts were excluded from the canon. The episode also tackles big theological concepts, including the Trinity, the nature of heaven and hell, and the role of Satan in Genesis. Erwin breaks down the idea of the Trinity with metaphors and references to scripture, highlighting the relational and dynamic nature of God. When asked why Satan was allowed in the garden, Erwin suggests that love demands freedom and trust. Regarding the afterlife, he stresses that the Kingdom of God is a present reality, more pressing than abstract speculation about heaven or hell. He offers a bold view on Jesus' descent into hell and the possibility of it being “emptied,” emphasizing grace over fear. Finally, they touch on more speculative areas like the Nephilim and the Book of Enoch, while anchoring their theological foundation in the canonical scriptures. Erwin encourages curiosity but warns against letting non-canonical texts distract from what's central to faith. They also explore differing views on salvation and the dangers of weaponizing theology for control. Throughout, Erwin underscores the radical freedom of grace and love as the most transformative forces. The episode closes with a glimpse into Erwin's sermon prep routine, shaped by decades of immersion in scripture, and an encouragement to approach theology not as a fixed system, but as a living conversation with God, guided by humility and wonder.
What if our anger is sacred? What if the rage we feel in our bodies, in our culture, in our Earth, is not something to suppress, but something to honor? This week, Mariana Garcia Flores and I sit again in the Garden of the Moon to invoke the presence of Kali, the fierce face of the Divine Feminine, and the part of us that says no more. We speak into the places where softness meets strength, where grief becomes action, where Yoga becomes the healing of the rift between Shakti and Shiva, within us and in the world. This conversation is not sanitized. It's raw, truthful, necessary. Kali is not here to be palatable. She's here to wake us up. To rewild us. To make our practice real. Subjects Explored The mythology of Kali and the archetype of feminine rage Dissociation and the violence of spiritual bypass Why embodiment is activism The pain of controlling Shakti and separating from Shiva What Yoga teaches us about sacred integration How feminine anger becomes a healing force Key Phrases or Quotes “Shakti is angry. And it is appropriate.” “Kali is here to destroy what needs to be destroyed.” “You don't separate Shiva from Shakti. You gather her.” “Your practice is making love with life.” “She's not killing people. She's killing the delusion.” “It is destroying what is not real.” Key Takeaways Sacred Anger is Real – Feminine rage is not dysfunction. It is sacred correction. Dissociation is the True Demon – When the mind leaves the body, suffering begins. Yoga is the Union of Opposites – Strength and softness, Shiva and Shakti, must be lived together. Receptivity is Power – To receive Shakti is the strength of true masculinity and humanity. Embodied Intimacy is Activism – When we inhabit our wholeness, we reclaim the world. The Feminine Will Not Be Silenced – This is not about gender. It's about life force refusing erasure. Ritchie Blackmore is known as a guitar legend and as one of the more mercurial figures in rock. The Rock N Roll Hall Of Famer rose to power with Deep Purple and unleashed some of the most classic, hard rock riffs on the world, including the simple and ever-present Smoke On The Water. But Ritchie was known to be aloof, distant from his bandmates and would often fly into critical rages about their performance. After the departure of Ian Gillan and Roger Glover, he was dissatisfied with the musical direction of the band. However, once he saw a diminutive American singer opening for Purple in a band called Elf, he started to devise a way out of DP. That singer was Ronnie James Dio, the powerhouse lead vocalist who would eventually move on to replace Ozzy in Black Sabbath (and record two killer Sabbath albums, Heaven And Hell & Mob Rules) and fill arenas in the 80s with his own band, Dio. After recording what was supposed to be two sides of a single, Ritchie knew that Ronnie was his ticket out of Purple and onto his own project. So with his bandmates from Elf, they recorded Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow showcasing Ronnie and showing the world the Ritchie still had the goods. Songs like Man on the Silver Mountain and Snakecharmer are built on the power of Ronnie's soaring vocals and Ritchie's heavy riffs. But songs like Catch The Rainbow show an almost proggy, fantasy side of the band as well as Temple of the King and Sixteenth Century Greensleaves. Of course, before the first tour Ritchie fired or scared off the remaining members of Elf to replace them with Jimmy Bain and Cozy Powell which led to a triumphant Rising the next year. But to celebrate the real worldwide introduction of Ronnie James Dio (he appeared on albums with Elf but they received nowhere near the exposure of working with Blackmore) at 50, we reminisce on how we discovered Ronnie, Rainbow and it's legacy today. Today, we're discussing the recent passing of Pope Francis. As a Protestant, I don't hold to Catholic doctrine, and I've had some serious theological issues with the papacy—but that doesn't mean I won't stop to reflect when someone steps into eternity. In this episode, I'm praying for Pope Francis' soul and hoping he had a deathbed conversion—because no one is beyond God's reach. I also hope Catholics choose a biblical pope next time, not one more interested in pleasing the world than honoring the Word. We'll talk about the things he did right—his care for the poor and moments of humility. But we'll also look at the dangerous things he got wrong:Promoting open borders that have devastated countries and erased traditionSaying all religions worship the same God (they don't)Claiming the human heart is good (the Bible says it's deceitful above all things)Ignoring original sin and the fallen nature of manThis is a respectful but honest take on a figure who meant a lot to many—but who, like all of us, needed Christ above all.--https://noblegoldinvestments.com/

We can make two mistakes when it comes to the afterlife. Some people think hell won’t be too bad. They joke that all their friends will be there – they’ll just party all the time. There won’t be any parties there. The other mistake we can make is thinking heaven isn’t all that good . . . especially if you don’t play the harp. We can make two mistakes when it comes to the afterlife. Some people think hell won’t be too bad. They joke that all their friends will be there – they’ll just party all the time.
