Patti Smith gilt als "Godmother of Punk", auch dank ihres 1975 erschienenen Albums "Horses". Bis heute gilt das Album als eines der einflussreichsten der Rockgeschichte. Als Patti Smith im November 1975 ihr Album "Horses" rausbringt, mit dem rohen und "garagigen" Rocksound hat die Welt von Punkbands wie den Sex Pistols, The Clash oder den Ramones noch nichts gehört. Neben der Musik wurde Patti Smith selber auch stark von Dichtern und Künstlern der Beat Generation beeinflusst. Für junge Frauen, die sich für Rock und ähnliche Spielarten interessierten, gab es keine wirklichen Vorbilder, an denen sie sich orientieren konnten. Für viele junge Musikerinnen wurde Patti Smith eben zu genau diesem Vorbild. Sie hat gezeigt, dass man auch als Mädchen oder Frau rocken kann und darf. Sängerin Viv Albertine von The Slits hat in einem Interview gesagt, Patti Smith sei ihre eigene Seele, die sichtbar gemacht wurde. "Ich habe noch nie eine Frau wie sie gesehen. Sie ist meine Seele, die sichtbar geworden ist, all das, was ich tief in mir verberge und nicht ans Licht bringen kann [...]. Ich möchte mich nicht wie sie kleiden oder ihren Stil kopieren, aber sie gibt mir das Selbstvertrauen, mich auf meine eigene Weise auszudrücken", sagte Viv Albertine, Punk-Musikerin im Interview mit dem "Far Out" Magazine. Johann Sebastian Bach hatte ein feines Gespür für die technischen Möglichkeiten und das klangliche Potential der Traversflöte - ein Instrument, das sich mehr und mehr etablierte und das Bach in seiner Leipziger Zeit immer häufiger anstelle der Blockflöte einsetzte. Die h-Moll-Flötensonate BWV 1030 komponierte Bach vermutlich um 1736–1737. Sie ist die längste und komplexeste von Bachs Flötensonaten und gilt als Höhepunkt seiner Auseinandersetzung mit dem Instrument. Anders als die meisten seiner anderen Flötensonaten ist BWV 1030 keine Triosonate mit Generalbass, sondern eine Sonate für zwei gleichberechtigte Partner: Flöte und Cembalo treten in einen engen Dialog, wechseln sich in Themenführung und virtuosen Passagen ab und schaffen so eine dichte musikalische Struktur. Tragedy and disasters can also offer unanticipated blessings. In a generous act of grace and kindness, our guest on The Breggin Hour invited Peter Breggin to share his perspectives on being a head injury patient. After over 60 years of helping patients and vulnerable persons to understand and overcome head injuries and brain damage from psychiatric drugs, electroshock, and lobotomy, Peter suffered a stroke in August of 2025. The damage has been serious enough that the Breggins have traveled to Florida to be evaluated for participation in a cutting-edge program for patients with brain injuries of various kinds. Die Verordnung über Transparenz und Targeting politischer Werbung (TTPA) soll verhindern, dass politische Prozesse durch reiche Interessengruppen oder ausländische Staaten wie Russland beeinflusst werden. In Wirklichkeit entpuppt sich diese Verordnung als Instrument, mit dem unliebsame Medien und Parteien marginalisiert werden können, erklärt der bekannte Medienrechtsanwalt Joachim Steinhöfel im Gespräch mit Maximilian Tichy. Denn Werbung für politische Themen – oder Werbung für Inhalte, die sich kritisch mit Politik auseinandersetzen – wird mittels bürokratischer Hürden sehr aufwändig und teuer gemacht. Besonders betroffen sind Medien und Parteien, die in den öffentlich-rechtlichen Medien nicht vorkommen dürfen. Parteien wie AfD und BSW werden dadurch massiv benachteiligt. Joachim Steinhöfel weis auch darauf hin, wie sehr die Meinungsfreiheit in den sozialen Medien bereits eingeschränkt ist. Der Fall „Schwachkopf“, Hausdurchsuchungen bei Prof. Norbert Bolz oder Ermittlungen wegen des Verdachts auf Volksverhetzung gegen Nius-Chef Julian Reichelt zeigen, dass viele Staatsanwaltschaften und Richter schon lange jedes Maß verloren haben.
