Even Triathletes Struggle with Pornography Addiction too! James discusses how being open and honest with talking about pornography is like committing social suicide. He was curious in his early teens which led to his addiction. We are not horrible people and should not be shamed. These are lies and the adversary is the father of lies. James can not express enough his gratitude to his Savior for being with him throughout this journey. James attributes Men of Moroni for teaching him the importance of learning about the God given traits of providing, protecting, and presiding. These qualities have shown him that he truly is capable in every way of being an amazing man of God. You are worth the blessings of the Savior! If you want to feel the spirit coursing through your body then stop listening to the lies of the adversary and start to fight. You are 800% worth it! With the Savior you will find the joys of life once again. First recorded: Aug 21, 2018 For more recovery resources & healing go to: https://www.lifechangingservices.org 1-877-HERO-877
Luke explains how addiction leaves you in a state of mental fog. He was so focused on the addiction that his brain was not able to retain many tender memories with his family. They would go through cycles where Cindy would catch Luke and then he would commit to stop and then she would catch him again and the cycle continued for years. Back then he didn't think it was a bad thing, he just thought he needed to stop because Cindy would get mad. She blamed herself for years and kept it secret because she felt ashamed. Cindy talks about the importance of taking care of herself and realizing that policing her husband was not going to solve anything. Even though it was Luke who had the addiction, they each were fighting the adversary on their own separate battlefield. Praying together even when the days were hard was one of the biggest tools that helped them stay unified in their battle. Fighting together is STRENGTH - fighting against each other is WEAKNESS. Destin is 46yrs old, married, a father of 4 kids, and one of them currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shares his journey of addiction and finding hope through Christ with the Men of Moroni Program. He has been addicted to masterbation and occasionally pornography too since he was 15yrs old and didn't realize he was out of control until he could no longer feel the Spirit in his life. He found the Men of Moroni website and chose to call the number and started going to the meetings! He thought he was the only one with the same problem, but quickly found out that others struggle with the same addictions, he found brotherhood and healing as he continued in the program. He has now been clean for 157 days since he started the program! He says when he has he wants to be with his kids, when he didn’t have the spirit and was not in recovery, he didn’t want to be around them so they wouldn’t draw on the negative energy he had. He is now able to enjoy being with them and finds himself having a better attitude too. Destin has never tried any other programs, Men of Moroni was the first program he has tried and it's working for him. Listen to Destin learn how he uses the tools SLACK and PWR Journaling to help him stay on track with his goals. Even though he has completed the Men of Moroni program, he talks about how the Slack app reminds him of Why he fights and Why he doesn’t give up. He also uses the SLACK app to minister to others who are struggling. He has come to realize that he is a valiant warrior and that is why Satan has worked so hard to lead him away. One of Destin’s favorite quotes is - Are you clinging to the rod or holding on to it? 5 sisters who were first connected through their experience with betrayal trauma, gather together in person for the first time after almost a year of first meeting through a online support group, to strengthen each other. Sharing your story is so hard, and Linda was hesitant to share her story too, these sisters were part of her very first "group," and she instantly bonded with them and they are now closer than friends, they are sisters. Take notes, as these sisters share what they have learned in their journey through courageously reaching out to others. We were all connected through the WORTH Program from Life Changing Services. Visit to find your own group: https://lifechangingservices.online/worth/ Please remember we got together on our own, this retreat/gathering/training camp was and is not part of the WORTH program, but was amazingly healing.

She had a feeling something was wrong in her marriage, but she just felt like a "naggy wife." She confided in a good friend and was able to see that her husband had been involved in pornography addiction. Then 3 experiences with the scriptures, a temple experience, a blessing and some lessons later helped her to see the darkness she had been in and helped prepare her for what was about to happen next in her life. The Lord had guided her in discovering her husband's addiction, she had felt guided to leave but she felt alone in her struggles, and was told to keep things quiet. She knew pornography was destroying her health, her kids, her testimony, the spirit in their home and now their marriage, but she knew she had to leave. Like the pioneers she knew, "I'm willing because I have to." She was taught that her story matters, from a trusted therapist. We aren't sharing the addict's story or trying to bring shame to anyone, the betrayed has a story too and it matters! First Recorded Mar 31, 2017

“Can adult men really gain mastery over sexual (pornography) addiction? Can marriages recover from severe betrayal trauma?” Luke & Alana, leaders and coordinators of Men of Moroni, our self-mastery training program for men, share their story of a 15yr marriage. Alana pregnant with their 5th child, found pornography on her husband's phone 7yrs after the first discovery. 7yrs ago they took a trip to their bishop and attended a few addiction recovery meetings but that was not enough to keep Luke from acting out down the road. The recent discovery led to a whole lot more disclosures from Luke, Luke living in a hotel to find his own way to recovery, and Alana finding healing on her own through the Atonement of Christ, while raising their 4 kids alone and pregnant. After finding the WORTH Group & Men of Moroni from Life Changing Services, they continued to learn more tools to first help heal themselves and then their marriage. Though their marriage was shattered by addiction, it was able to heal through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
