The Light Gate welcomes guest: researcher and author, Frank C. Feschino Jr. Date: December 16, 2024 Episode: 086 Discussion: The Braxton County Monster (aka: The Flatwoods Virginia Monster incident) and The Flying Saucer Air Wars of 1952 (as chronicled in his book, Shoot Them Down!) Frank C. Feschino, Jr. is a graduate of the Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, where he studied illustration, commercial art, and photography. He was trained by several world-famous artists including Kenneth Davies, Rudolph Zallinger and John Massimino and earned his four-year Fine Arts diploma in 1981. Feschino later moved to Florida where he studied film and video production at Phillips Jr. College in Daytona Beach and was trained by Hollywood camera operator Rich Davis. In 1994, Frank graduated with an Associates Degree in Film and Video Production and a minor in Business. While visiting family in Braxton County in the early 1990s, Feschino became aware of the "Flatwoods Monster" UFO crash incident in Braxton County that occurred on September 12, 1952 and began to investigate it. This case reportedly involved a UFO and its alien occupant, a 12-foot-tall armor-clad being that crash-landed on a farm in Flatwoods and encountered a curious group of local townspeople shortly after. Subsequently, he began an in-depth investigation into this case, which lasted decades and reveals a massive UFO cover-up implemented by the United States government. After decades of research and investigating the case, Feschino wrote a groundbreaking book that chronicles his investigation into the famous "Flatwoods Monster" incident. It is titled, "The Braxton County Monster - The Cover-up of the Flatwoods Monster Revealed," which was later released into an "Updated and Revised" edition as his investigation continued and additional information obtained. Frank has guest appeared on many West Virginia television talk shows, TV news broadcasts and radio programs and was also featured in the first-ever "Flatwoods Monster" cover story and feature article of UFO Magazine. The author/illustrator and UFO investigator also appeared in an episode of "Monster Quest" on the HISTORY CHANNEL that featured the "Flatwoods Monster" and "Frametown Monster" incidents of 1952. Additionally, Feschino produced a documentary that he wrote, shot and narrated, which focuses on his investigation into the "Flatwoods Monster" case and appears on you tube. After spending decades in search of the truth, Frank C. Feschino, Jr. has become the genuine authority on the "Flatwoods Monster" incident and UFO events of September 12, 1952. Frank is also the author of the highly acclaimed book, “Shoot Them Down! The Flying Saucer Air Wars of 1952. Today, Frank Feschino, Jr. continues to be involved in UFO his research and currently resides in central Florida. Welcome to Real Work, Real Life where we talk to real people about what they do for work and what that means for their lives. Today I'm talking with Kat, a Physical Therapist Assistant. As you'll have more in a moment, you can get all the education you need from an Associates Degree program at a community college, graduating with little to no debt to start working in this field We also talk about a common theme that seems to happen in a lot of different careers, if you continue your education, you are eligible for much higher paying jobs, in this case as Doctor of Physical Therapy, but, if you had to pay for your education, you have to factor that cost into the potential difference in pay, as well as the lost earning years, particularly if you're making a change later in life, and probably most importantly, the difference in the actual tasks. Sometimes that level up in education may land you in a job that you like less and paid alot more for. Definitely a good reminder to try to talk a few people in a field before you dive in, just you give you ideas about which path you;re best suited to. We also touch on the many different roles at a rehab hospital and both the joys and challenges of working in geriatrics.

Brandon Mitchener was a 22-year-old man who lived in Lansing, Michigan with his parents. He had big dreams. He earned his Associates Degree from Lansing Community College. He had studied Business and started his own clothing line called (M.I.Y.M) Make It Your Mission to do the right thing.Unfortunately, he would never live to see his dreams come true because he would be found dead in the Grand River in Lansing, Michigan. Law enforcement ruled Brandon's death as an accident, but his family and closest friends don't believe this. They believe his death was the result of something more sinister.Back in late June 2014, Brandon had plans that evening. He was going to meet with his business partner to celebrate another friend's 21st birthday on a party bus. The young men planned to take the party bus to different bars and have some fun and drinks. According to police reports, after the party bus returned from its round of hitting several local bars in downtime Lansing, Brandon began feeling sick. According to security footage, Brandon was seen walking down the road on June 29th with his business partner following him.Law enforcement said Brandon stumbled down the end of South Street, fell into an embankment and into the river and drowned. Brandon's business partner told the police he lost sight of Brandon and assumed he had gotten home okay. He would then return to his friends and continue socializing with them. He never called 911 or any of Brandon's family to let them know something may have happened to Brandon. After Brandon disappeared, his siblings and friends began searching for Brandon. One of his relative's found a shoe and hat belonging to Brandon.During an interview on Dateline, Shirley Mitchener said she has theories about Brandon's death. One is that he was thrown into the river by the friends he met up with on the party bus. A second theory is that Brandon was pushed into the river. The police theory is that he was intoxicated and fell into the river. For this story, I spoke to Shirley Mitchener about her relationship with her son and how she continues to grieve for him over eight years later. On this episode of A Dose Of Positivity, I sat down with my dear friend Daniel Zigler. Dan is an identical twin, who was born and raised in Canebrake, California (population 50). Dan worked as a ranch hand at 12 years old. After graduating high school he got an Associates Degree from Bakersfield College. In 2006 Dan suffered a broken neck which nearly ended his life. Dan decided not to get surgery and wore a Halo for six months hoping his neck would heal naturally. Unfortunately the Halo didn't set Dan's neck correctly so he had to get fusion surgery to repair his neck. After the surgery the doctors didn't give Dan much of a chance to live a normal life ever again. Doctors actually told Dan he wouldn't be able to lift 20 pounds. Two years after his surgery Dan was able to lift over 120 pounds over his head. Dan went on to win multiple competitions as a natural athlete. Winning the Natural Olympia in the Men's Physique category twice. This episode is packed full of inspiration and motivation.

IFBB Pro Bikini Bodybuilder Rosada Plummer explains how clearing distractions and negativity helps her stay focused when prepping for a bodybuilding show. In this episode, Rosada shares how she became a bodybuilder, her struggles, and how she prepares mentally and physically for big competitions. She also breaks down her best practices to be more successful, focused, and a one's best.Stick to the RoutineBodybuilding takes discipline and focus on maintaining physique. Rosada competes in the bikini division, and it is all about symmetry; the shape of the body matters. The muscle tone should be defined, and in this division, they do certain poses: front, side, and back. These poses are where the symmetry is zoned in, and the muscle mass up top needs to be symmetrical to the muscle mass at the bottom. As for most physical competitions, participants are categorized according to age, height, and weight. To maintain her physique, Rosada sticks to her routine. Diet is an essential element in bodybuilding, so she spends time and energy in the kitchen preparing her meals as much as she spends time training in the gym. She says that balance plays a significant role in her day-to-day routine. Rosada is strict in counting her calorie intake to keep her weight at a level needed for her competition. Cardio training also depends on her physique, so she has to make adjustments from time to time. It takes commitment to become a bodybuilder. Rosada is one of the many who are more than just the muscle.About Rosada Santiago-Plummer:Rosada Santiago-Plummer is an IFBB professional bodybuilder in the bikini division.
