Live from the Sabrina Carpenter Tour, I got the chance to speak with Blu DeTiger after her show at The Agora in Cleveland, Ohio. If you don't recognize the name Blu DeTiger, I can guarantee you'll recognize her music from a TikTok audio you've used in 2020. She's a bassist, a solo artist, and constantly pushing creative bounds. I first discovered Blu during the pandemic and she truly was the first artist that I watched grow a following through TikTok. I have been dying to see her live and can attest that not only is she just as cool as she looks online, but sounded even better in person. While we only got a chance to talk for a short moment, we discussed the tour so far, transitioning from TikTok to sold out venues, and advice to anyone feeling like statistically their dreams may be out of reach.
