KVRX is the student‐run radio station at the University of Texas in Austin. This podcast feed will feature everything from artist interviews, live show recordings, album reviews and much much more. We solemnly swear to bring you the best music that you didn't know you loved, or remind you of your favorite songs that you won't hear anywhere else. We share the frequency 91.7FM with KOOP radio. KOOP during the day, and KVRX is on at nights – 7PM to 9AM on weekdays and from 10PM to 9AM on weekends. We also stream 24/7 here on our website, kvrx.org.

In this paper Kosman introduces his idea that we choose the emotions we feel by expanding the definition of “choice”. This is then paired with the virtues of Aristotle to make for a voluntary and ethical analysis of feelings as well as actions. Enjoy this episode as it foreshadows a return to our hardcore philosophy roots!

    After discovering “God Only Knows” in 1966, Margo Guryan, a schooled jazz pianist who was taught by Bill Evans and Max Roach and studied alongside Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry, decided to craft sunshine and baroque pop gems of her own. Her songs were recorded by artists such as Glen Campbell, Astrud Gilberto, Harry Nilsson, and Cass Elliot, and in 1968, she released her first and only studio album Take a Picture, which became a cult classic since its release and has influenced artists such as Belle & Sebastian, Beck, Cornelius, Sidney Gish, and Bedouine. DJ Zenner and Jack Kelly caught up with Margo via phone call to discuss her jazz roots, her friendship with Harry Nilsson, and her advice on life and love.
