In November, General Motors announced it would be shutting down several factories, leaving thousands of workers without a job. One of these plants was in Lordstown, Ohio. The shuttering of the Lordstown plant is incredibly painful, not only for the workers who now have to figure out what’s next, but for the entire community. On January 24, members from that community gathered in the auditorium of Lordstown High School to share their stories and talk about how the closing plant will impact them. These are the stories of teachers, factory workers, union members and children -- all of them want the same thing: to protect these jobs and save Lordstown.
