For De La Soul, 3 was the magic number, but Pauser has sprinkled the magic dust again all over number 6 in the After Hours series. A mix that is tighter than a gnat’s chuff and funkier than a mosquito’s tweeter.
DTonate switches it up with the latest refreshing installment on Oooh. A veritable smorgasbord of beats, supadupa outernational business and 5 homegrown previously unreleased tracks from DTonate, Stratasoul and Pauser. A mix fit for a Presidential inauguration after-party up at the castle.
Jackson 5’s Blame it on the Boogie is a real old chestnut which never fails, but we shouldn’t forget the twist which the first lady of Czech soul gave to it with her version.
Our teutonic colleagues Hausaggregat conjured up this classy und rare mix especially for Oooh! Podcast and your listening pleasure, evoking late 1980s NYC with one foot firmly in present-day Berlin.
This tune was originally made for Paulie Garand for his latest album. However, I named this instrumental version ‚A Little Light‘ and I’m giving it away just like that. Download now! Cheers, D.
Are you hungry? Not had lunch yet? Gasta has prepared a two hour instant gastronomical delight. Just pour into a mug, add hot water and bon appetite.
During a flight of passion to NYC it would be a crime to miss out digging through the delights of Manhattans vinyl emporiums. You don’t need to be Kojak to catch the beat listening to this mix from Pauser, the most-qualified of Oooh! graduates as he continues his Afterhours series.
If you still haven’t became used to our moody offerings with every second mix, then with this mix we will pull you from your lethargy. Pecaone has mixed a 51 minute long instrumental ride of the strictest calibre, including DTonate’s „In The Stars“. Get deep into it.
Remember the name of Scottish DJ and selector Nic Robertson, as the name of the mix shows we haven’t heard the last of him. Delving Deeper vol. 1 is a splendid soulful exploration, with 8 minute long tracks a perfectly common thing.
After a long break we are back with another podcast from the Afterhours series. Once more the watch is wound, full of rockets that you know but you don’t know the name of. We wish you pleasant listening.
Gasta is our friend from Olomouc who specialises primarily in funk and hiphop. As it’s a shame not to share this mix out, find and download it here now.
Pauser’s nightowl selection comes with a guarantee of quality – you see Afterhours part 3 arose at the second attempt. At first it was said to be too slow. You can light the sure-fire disco-soul fuse right now!
Exactly 4 years ago, 10 February 2006, the world lost a legend and probably the best hiphop producer of all-time, J Dilla. Not only DJ Wich came with a big thing, DTonate also brings his personal account of the King.
Fans of Detroit rap can again sit up and take notice. Our favourite DJ, PecaOne sent his mix from Hip Hop Drunkiez radio show Spin. We wish you all a pleasant listen, and all Czech „DJs“ we hope you are pleasantly ashamed.
After Pauser passed around his positively reviewed first mixtape for all soul lovers, its been a long wait for the second installment. Once more a really excellent choice of original US funk and soul, which suggests that after this mixtape he needs to get back diggin in the crates again.
We presented Dj Peca to you with his first release which took the guise of Motor City Vibe mixtape. Today we share his next mixtape, titles Smooth Ish. As always it is all about soulful music, where this time aside from the obligatory Detroit sound you hear American soul brothers. You can download it right now.
Not the newest thing, nevertheless a very nice compilation of funk and soul nuggets from Pauser. In the future we will bring more, as Pauser, despite his excessive daily smoking desires, shows he’s a very potent DJ.
DTonate took a crack at the Real Thing official remix contest, which was announced in April 2008. There was a slight delay due to work on Pio Squad’s album „Interview“, check it now!
PecaOne first released mixtape on Blind Deaf Records label from 2007. And despite him not being a member of Oooh! he is very close to us. After all, from the tracklist you can judge for yourself.
