Mark Ronson (Night People: How to be a DJ in 90s New York City) is a Grammy and Academy Award-winning producer, songwriter, and DJ. Mark returns to Armchair Expert to discuss feeling the full circle moment returning to vinyl after coming up as a DJ in the 90s, the tangible difference between experiencing the sounds of records versus digital media, and not playing his own records because he wants to earn the crowd on merit. Mark and Dax talk about having a vague memory of Robin Williams waking him up as a child during one of his parents' parties, launching soggies from the 10th floor with Michael Jackson, and the lovely memory he created playing Wonderful Tonight during his mom and stepdad's wedding. Mark explains gigging at the holy love child of Broadway camp and total Times Square sleaze, the breakthrough moment he changed everything by mixing Biggie's The Benjamins with ACDC's Back in Black, and being so grateful he developed his craft in the era where you had to physically hunt down records to sample.Follow Armchair Expert on the Wondery App or wherever you get your podcasts. Episode 85: Miles Bonham. Known to millions online as Miles Music Kid, Miles Bonham has become one of the youngest and most talked-about musical prodigies on Instagram. His videos have gone viral around the world, showcasing his natural talent, creativity, and unique ear for music at such a young age. He is one of the most followed under-10-year-olds in the world, and already, at just 9 years old, has some of the most elite musicians and producers befriending him, supporting him, and cheering him on (shoutout to Mark Ronson, Pharrell, Zedd, Jacob Collier, Questlove, Teddy Swims and Charlie Puth). This is Miles' podcast debut, and I wanted to mark this special moment in time with him. I had so many questions for Miles, and you can see in this interview how adorable and happy of a kid he is. His dad also joined us for this episode so we could talk about what it's like parenting Miles, the approach he and his wife have taken, and the incredible job they are doing. This is a unique episode, since we have never had a kid on the podcast before, but I hope you find it enjoyable and take away some profound thoughts from the brilliant young mind of Miles Bonham. ‘Go with Elmo Lovano' is a weekly podcast where Elmo interviews creatives and entrepreneurs in music on HOW they push forward every day, got where they are in their careers, manage their personal lives, and share lessons learned and their most important insights. fWotD Episode 3031: Dance the Night Welcome to featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia's finest articles. The featured article for Friday, 22 August 2025, is Dance the Night."Dance the Night" is a song by English and Albanian singer Dua Lipa from the soundtrack to the fantasy comedy film Barbie (2023). Lipa co-wrote the song with songwriter Caroline Ailin and its producers Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson; the Picard Brothers also contributed to production. Atlantic and Warner Records released the song as the soundtrack's lead single on 25 May 2023. A disco, synth-pop, and disco-pop song, it was inspired by a dance sequence in the film and is about always appearing flawless despite heartbreak.Music critics overwhelmingly compared the song's sound to Lipa's second studio album, Future Nostalgia (2020), which was viewed positively by some but left others disappointed. It was nominated for several awards, including Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. "Dance the Night" reached number one in several countries, including the UK, and received multi-platinum certifications in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Poland, and the UK, as well as diamond in France. It also reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100. The music video for "Dance the Night" has a pink theme inspired by the Barbie aesthetic. It intersperses Lipa performing choreographed dances while singing the song with clips of Margot Robbie, Issa Rae, and Emma Mackey dancing at a disco party in the film, featuring a cameo appearance from Barbie's director Greta Gerwig at the end. The video received praise for its playful nature and Lipa's outfit. The song was included as the primary musical motif in the film. In 2024, Lipa sang one line from it while opening the 66th Annual Grammy Awards and performed it in full live for the first time at the Royal Albert Hall. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:30 UTC on Friday, 22 August 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Dance the Night on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm neural Ayanda.

Hey it's your buddy Jamie - sorry we've missed a few uploads here and there lately, all of us have been very busy! On this episode of Vinyl Verdict, Bell, Jamie and Adam listen to Bell's last pick for this season, Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black". Released in 2006, it was her second and final studio album before her death in 2011. Propelled by the singles "Back To Black", "Rehab" and "You Know I'm No Good", the album hit #1 in 19 countries. At the 2007 Grammy Awards, it won Record of the Year , Song of the Year for "Rehab", and Best Pop Vocal Album. Winehouse herself won Best New Artist, and the producer of the album, Mark Ronson, won Producer of the Year. The album has a sound that is both modern and reminiscent of ages old Jazz as well as pop and soul recordings of the 60s. But what will the boys think? Will they say 'no, no, no'? Or will they find themselves "Addicted"? Come along and find out!

Can you name a hit song just by hearing the drumbeat? That's the challenge that had the whole crew—and even Skin's mom Gator—scratching their heads and second-guessing their musical instincts in this laugh-out-loud episode of The Ben and Skin Show.Join Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray as they dive back into KT's viral “Drum Game,” a deceptively simple yet maddeningly difficult challenge inspired by a TikTok drummer. With only five songs left to guess, the team reopens the game like it never ended—and chaos ensues.
DJ Orbs took over the decks at the All Gaucho Reunion at UCSB on the Campus Green, delivering an electrifying mix of 80s, 90s, and 2000s hits.
