Hi friends! We are here for our second episode of season three, woohoo! On this episode we are going to go over some bad dating advice. Gwen and Aisley have each compiled a list of common bad dating advice given to people. Neither of us have exchanged our lists with each other, so we are going into it fresh without any preconceived thoughts. A lot of this bad dating advice is pretty common for people to hear growing up or throughout their early adulthood. What bad dating advice have you been given? Wow, we are so happy and thankful to be back with another episode! We hope everyone was able to enjoy their summer as much as possible! The season premiere is pretty laid back and low-key - we just wanted to have a chat with you. Mainly in this episode we discuss what happened over the summer for each of us and what is coming to be in the foreseeable future. We also go over what will be happening this season, including going into some detail about our decision regarding posting changes. As of this season, we will be posting bi-weekly episodes. As we are both entering our second year of our Masters degree, it is becoming more and more time consuming, and we just don't feel we can commit the same amount of energy to the podcast. We hope you understand this decision and still join us for our future episodes. We are sooo happy to back!! We'll also be taking a short test to assess and reflect on how much we experience feelings of missing out. We will talk about our own experiences with FOMO, and then we're going to get into what "the experts" say about dealing and overcoming FOMO. We'd love to know what your thoughts are on this topic too! As mentioned in the episode, here is the FOMO scale. Use a 0-10 rating to assess and reflect on your own experiences with FOMO: Scale by: Andrew Przybylski (2013) I fear others have more rewarding experiences than me. I fear my friends have more rewarding experiences than me. I get worried when I find out my friends are having fun without me. I get anxious when I don't know what my friends are up to. It is important that I understand my friends' "in-jokes." Sometimes, I wonder if I spend too much time keeping up with what is going on. It bothers me when I miss an opportunity to meet up with friends. When I have a good time, it is important for me to share the details online (e.g. updating status). When I miss out on a planned get-together, it bothers me. When I go on vacation, I continue to keep tabs on what my friends are doing.
