The end of the 2015 season came with a fizzle instead of a bang for the Dallas-area, shutout for the first time since 2010. Argyle replicated its heartbreaking 2014 loss with another one, falling in the final seconds to Waco LaVega. Frisco Lone Star’s struggled against a stout Cedar Park defense. And key injuries scuttled Celina and Mansfield Lake Ridge hopes. Attendance was significantly down at Houston’s NRG Stadium. Does that mean AT&T Stadium is the venue next year and in years to come?

Allen loses to Austin Westlake breaking a 57 game win streak. Aledo gets beat by Mansfield Lakeridge buts leave Lakeridge with a few key injuries. Frisco Lone Star won out over Lake Dallas in a crazy, three OT game. Celina and Argyle both advance keeping hopes for a 4A DFW sweep alive.

The final four of the UIL football playoffs are upon us. Matt, Avi, Rhiannon and Corbett break down the regional finals and TAPPS championships, with two Dallas-area titlists crowned and potentially six more to come. Allen adds to its winning streak by handling Denton Ryan, Mansfield Lake Ridge survives against Longview and Frisco Lone Star continues its run with a big win over Lancaster. We break down each of the area's semifinalists, plus talk to Austin American-Statesman reporter Danny Davis about Austin Westlake and Lake Travis.

Allen continues to win, dominating Arlington Martin and setting up a game of unbeatens with Denton Ryan. Frisco Lone Star and Mansfield Lake Ridge both put together complete performances in the regional semis. Around a dozen teams left from the Dallas area are still playing, and we’ll have previews of their games, and a discussion about possible player of the year candidates.

After a great first round of the UIL playoffs, the area round came through with a handful of classics, such as Allen/DeSoto Part 4, an OT thriller between Lovejoy and Terrell, and an unbelievable ending between Grapevine Faith Christian and Parish Episcopal. Southlake Carroll got home field advantage, and sent two-time defending state champs Cedar Hill packing, the game sealed with a bad snap. Fellow champion Ennis lost, too, in the first round, and Euless Trinity – a team everyone expected to challenge Allen in the 6A Division I Region I final – was sent home early after a gutsy performance by South Grand Prairie. Mansfield Timberview’s coin flip sent Waxahachie packing – and kept Lancaster away from South Oak Cliff, while The Colony and Hebron put themselves in the field with wins. The podcast tackles the brackets, breaking down Region I and II brackets from 6A to 3A, plus the TAPPS playoffs as well.

Heading into the last week of the regular season, there are district titles and playoff spots on the line. We talk Week 10, where Mansfield Lake Ridge clinched its first district title in the school's short history, Plano East secured its first playoff trip since 2011 and Wylie muddied the waters in a crowded 10-5A. Mansfield Summit stymies a now-pass dependent Lancaster, and looks ahead to a Week 10 meeting with Mansfield Lake Ridge.

Euless Trinity showed its championship muscle with a win over Southlake Carroll, DeSoto picked up some steam heading into this week’s massive matchup against Cedar Hill, and Keller Central broke a 24-game district winning streak for Denton Guyer – and has us scratching our heads about 5-6A. Plus, UIL Legislative Council news -- including free tickets --- and a preview a colossal slate of games.
