“No Goodbye” is for anyone who's ever been left without closure, when love ends not with a fight, but with silence. It captures the ache of unanswered questions and the emptiness that follows someone walking away without explanation. It's an emotional reflection of love lost too quietly, when the loudest sound is the absence of goodbye.

Interview by Spitty / spittywill We recently traveled up to New York to holla at legendary producer, Rsonist of The Heatmakerz for a special Fat Beats Edition of “Off The Porch”! Best known for producing most of your favorite Dispet songs to Lil Wayne's “Tha Mobb”, Rsonist shares his experiences growing up in the Bronx in a Jamaican household making music out of his moms basement and how his diverse music taste helped him create a lot of his ground work for sampling, while carving a lane for himself within the culture. Rsonist talks about jumping off the porch around 15 years old, often getting in trouble because he would sneak out the house to DJ parties and how he didn't hear his first Hip-Hop record until he was a sophomore in high school. He discusses his first production placement with Canibus, transitioning from being a beat maker to being a producer, how he met Cam and how he ended up getting 9 beats on the Diplomatic Immunity project. He also gives his perspective on producers clearing music so that they can use the sample along with telling artists and producers how to peep game and pay attention to the business side of things as well as his new instrumental album The Anti Social Experiment, the motivation to do an instrumental album and more! “You Moved On Before Goodbye” is a heartbreak ballad about emotional abandonment when someone leaves a relationship long before the final words are spoken. The song captures that haunting in-between space where one partner still hopes, while the other has already drifted away. It's about the quiet pain of feeling invisible in love, sleeping next to someone who's already gone in spirit.
Another beautiful poem on Wisdom opens up this lesson, with incredible connections to Jesus Christ, who is Wisdom incarnate. Besides the Psalter, this book is the longest of the Wisdom Book corpus in the Old Testament. It is a treasure trove of teachings on the divine origin of Wisdom, her attributes, and her love for all those seek her. Similar to the Book of Proverbs, Sirach guides God's people along the paths of holy and virtuous living in all aspects of life. Enjoy this sample from Lesson 1, "Introducing the Book of Sirach" from Dr. Nick's seven-part course, "Sirach: Fear the Lord." Anyone can join our community of students and stream the entire audio lesson and full course (and other courses too!) whenever they wish.

The attack on September 11, 2001 became America's tragedy. We all remember where we where when it happened. We know the stories of those that made it out and, sadly, those that didn't. What we don't hear as much are from those that are left behind when their loved ones perished. Felice Zaslow lost her husband Ira in the World Trade Center on that horrible day. Through the days, weeks, and months that followed, she had to find her way through trauma to healing- a path every grieving person must navigate. This is her story of processing grief, moving forward and also paying tribute to the beautiful love her and Ira had. May we never forget the attacks of 9/11, those lost and also their loved ones who continue to carry the weight of the loss forward with them. Note: Also listen to episode 1 with guest Rich Winner, who survived that fateful day, escaping the first WTC building hit. Felice can be followed at www.FeliceZaslow.com, Facebook and Instagram.
