In an up and down season with plenty of high school drama, can Coach Korn lead them to a high school championship? Will his intensity push them over the edge. This is our first episode reviewing a movie from Apple TV and we have to say this is exactly what this podcast is about. The title of this movie makes it sound like it is another National Lampoon type movie, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It is a well written movie with plenty of star power for a movie that went straight to Apple TV. Quick synopsis is the drunk friend from the neighborhood decides to bring his buddies that were deployed for the Vietnam War beers. Starting as kind of a joke, it quickly became true and he found himself in Vietnam delivering his friends Pabst Blue Ribbon. Listen in for our full review and thoughts about the movie. With how much we enjoyed Enola Holmes, we figured that we had to review the 2nd movie. Enola starts her own business and attempts to help out some women working in a factory. Since we went the route of Adam Sandler, we figured we would continue that with Grandma's Boy. It does not star Adam Sandler but it is a Happy Madison Production. This movie follows the life of a former Accountant turned Video Game Tester. With his roommate not actually paying rent, he lost his place to live and running out of options, he moves in with his Grandma and her 2 roommates. This stoner movie is definitely a farfetched story but one that we all wish we could have experienced. With plenty of star power (possible B-rate star power) this is a fun watch. Well this is one of the lowest budgeted movies we have reviewed to date. It was one of Adam Sandler's earliest movies and although there are some known faces, it was still low budget. A goofy movie that has a bit of a story to it. Adam Sandler wants to be a comedian and looking for a break, he decides to work on a cruise ship and hope that he can open for the comedian on board. With it being October, we thought it necessary to get in the spirit and start watching scary movies, but it wouldn't be Straight to TV if we didn't watch a questionable one from Netflix. The Wretched is about a teenager that visits his dad and finds out that some weird things were happening at their neighbors house. Being a curious teenager, he tries to find out. For our first non-English movie, we bring to you Kung Fu Hustle. A parody Kung Fu movie that makes fun of other well known Chinese martial arts movies. Hard to describe as there is a lot that is lost in translation, but basically, a couple grifters end up crossing paths with a notorious Chinese gang. In doing so, they end up in a war between the working class and the gang. Welcome back!! We moved away from Vampire movies to a more mainstream movie that in Hollywood terms was a bust since it made less than it cost. However, to get a little more into the movie, it is about a truck driver (Kurt Russell) who gets mixed up in some odd things going on in Little China. We are back with another vampire movie with not as well known actors. Honestly closer to a B-rate movie but with an interesting and adult friendly story. A vampire who lost his ability to grow his fangs is a professor at a college named Wayne Gretzky (no relation) meets a student who has something about her that is familiar to him. Victor found us an interesting one for this episode. Vampire movie meets 18 year old's dream movie. Alyssa Milano stars in this movie and for any big Alyssa Milano fans, you have either seen this or really should. The most memorable parts are the parts tied to the female anatomy that are shown plentifully. Otherwise it is a lackluster movie that was known more for the boobs that the story. Video Game turned movie that has mixed reviews among players of the game. Imagine you go to jail for killing a family member who was abusing other family members. While serving your sentence, the CIA recruits you for a new group that no one knows about. You are trained to be a killer and then things go sideways. Well that is the premise of The Gray Man. Found on Netflix, this movie feels familiar but holds your interest throughout. Spencer Confidential is a Netflix original movie that stars Mark Wahlberg. Mark Wahlberg plays a Boston PD officer that has an unfortunate run in with a fellow police officer that leads to him going to prison. Following prison he gets out and finds out that some sketchy things were happening in Boston PD and starts doing some detective work on his own. Obi-Wan Kanobi follows the life of Obi Wan Kanobi between episodes 3 and 4 and can be found on Disney+. A great take on the characters years between the Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker. One of the best known Jedis from the series searches for the kidnapped Princess Leia and does some soul searching along the way. This week is what we like to think of a bit of a classic. Although not as many people have seen this as have seen Miracle on 34th Street, The Santa Clause, or A Christmas Story, this is definitely one in that same line of movies except the man character is Ernest. Jurassic Park meets the church in this off the wall B-rate movie. A pastor, happens upon a velociraptor claw in China when he is taking a sabbatical to get his life back on track. The claw scrapes him, which he finds out gives him the ability to shape shift into a velociraptor (or so they say). We have an interesting movie for this episode, Monkey Shines. A scientist, who does testing on Monkeys and injects them with human DNA, finds out his friend was hit by a car and is now paralyzed from the neck down. In an effort to help out his friend, he donates one of his monkeys to a trainer who trains monkeys to assist those who are paralyzed through daily tasks. What could go wrong? Our first foreign film of the podcast, Parasite does not disappoint. Not as much of a horror film as we thought, but a film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. When you hear parasite, you think of things you do not want entering your body, however, the parasite the movie is meaning is a human parasite. Been to the dentist recently? Well that is not what this movie is about. If you could think of the worst place to have teeth, this movie is about that. Just in case you didn't think of the right place, these teeth are in the lead character's (Dawn's) lady parts. Likely our most cringeworthy movie to date, it is a fairly well rated (5.4 on IMDB) B-rate movie. This is not a movie to watch with anyone under 18. a 16 or 17 year old could handle the scenes but it will likely leave a lasting impression. Well, the fact that 2 of the 3 of us are extremely allergic to cats may not have helped our review of this "movie". Cats (2019) is a green screen play of the musical. Some may consider the CGI to be bad but in all reality, it is more that it is so good that it come across kind of creepy (or so we thought). Anyone who played Mortal Kombat as a kid, teenager or adult knows how excited they were to watch the original Mortal Kombat when it came out. We all enjoyed it and were surprised to see the poor reviews for the 2nd movie. However, this one aligned with it's ratings. Bad CGI and a lackluster story line make the movie tough to watch at times, but the fighting scenes keep you interested and make it a must see for Mortal Kombat fans.

Here is the scenario, Star Wars meets reality TV in the late 1970s. What is the outcome? Well we get the Star Wars Holiday Special where we follow Chewie's family through an interesting situation. A must watch for Star Wars fans but may be one to pass if you aren't a big Star Wars fan. Wow, this was an interesting movie. It was an attempt by it's creators to make a animated movie that was ahead of it's time. Well, the sure missed the mark with the animation but the story line is a different story. In your worst nightmares have you ever been in California when tornados struck? If that was not terrifying enough, add sharks to the tornados. Then you have Sharknado.
