1917 vs. Spiderman 2 vs. Grand Budapest Hotel Vs. Godzilla This is it everyone. Thanks for coming along with us on our movie journey, looks like we finally have an answer to what is the best movie of all time! 

We are back and we are changing up the format for Round 2. We are now pairing 4 different movies that made it to Round 2 up against each other, and the winner gets thrust straight to the semi-finals. This is a major episode and it was a blast to talk about!

It's finally here! The last episode of 2022 and the last matchup of the first round of the Boat Bracket. We talk a little about future plans, a little about sports cuz we are major sportos and a lot about silver linings playbook and Godzilla. 

We decided to do something different to celebrate the scariest night of the year, we did a quick Halloween movie bracket to find out the beset halloween movies of all time!

You trek through the forest, past multiple dead director's heads and bodies, and as you enter a clearing that feels like it was built on a sound stage, a giant man-sized creature leaps out at you, growling menacingly. Do you stab it with a knife, and skin it because it was the only thing you've ever loved? Or do you smack the crap out of them until they cry? Well today we find out as Tropic Thunder goes up against the Wizard of Oz, have fun!

Well Howdy there partners, this month on the podcast, we are looking at Mel Brooks' 1974 satirical comedy Blazing Saddles, and Quentin Tarantino's 2012 pre-slavery epic Django Unchained. How does Bart and the Waco Kid hold up against Django and Dr. Schultz? Tune in to find out!

Welcome back to the BOAT everyone, Grant's picks continue as the ultimate silly RomCom Notting Hill goes up against the Finale of the Star Wars original trilogy: Return of the Jedi. Can Star Wars Tatoo-win, or will we choose Notting Hill to die on? Either way will be having a Shittity Brickety and make sure to have you back on the streets, but not in a prostitute way, in know time!

This month on the podcast, we are pitting the 1995 film Apollo 13 against Hercules, the Disney animated movie from 1997. So this is a battle of the 90s darlings. Can the star studded cast and drama of space race catastrophe top the uplifting story of a super powered dude not be satisfied with just being super powerful? Will the sass and attitude beat out the truly heartwarming story of a globe coming together to bring these flyboys home? Lets see. Also includes a stirring rendition of “I won't say I'm In Love” by our own Grant Luberda

Mixing up the schedule a bit to do an in person watch along of the superior form of robot justice: ROBOMUNK. This was our first attempt at the type of record, I apologize if it is not at the quality level we usually are at. Oh No, we have thrown the schedule completely out of wack to bring friend of the podcast Ryan O'regan on to discuss two of his nominees for the Best Movie of All Time, Nicholas Cage's 1997 movie Conair, or the Carey Grant-Rosalind Russell 1940s Comedy His Girl Friday. We delve into quite a few different movies in this discussion, and Grant comes up with a brand new way to tell the classic Jesus vs. the Devil in the desert story. Ryan came in with a bunch of wonderful suggestions, and he recommended also watching both the 1931 film The Front Page, which His Girl Friday was based on, as well as The Hudsucker Proxy, a 1994 Coen Brothers film that was influenced by His Girl Friday. Conair stands alone. Also We will have a vote up on our twitter account this next week to vote on your favorite of the two, and we will be checking our facebook comments on this months post to include for voting as well. Can Atom topple Indy? Two father/son stories with two wildly different resolutions. Buckle up folks because Ryan is on a tear against one of these films. Is he being severely obstinate for no apparent reason? Probably. Is he also writing this bio after editing the podcast and feeling pretty ashamed that he couldn't develop an argument in the moment that highlighted the weird father son dynamic in real steel? Definitely. Does he expected anyone in their right mind to read this far into the description to realize that he is a broken child at heart who has significant daddy issues. In a beautiful act of jumping down a bunch of different rabbit holes, Walter and Ryan re-open the cold case file on just who framed Roger rabbit. Where does this movie stand in the pantheon of entertainment. Are the at the time cutting edge effects something to be cherished, or has the advances in CGI shown that this movie is as disconnected and dated as the noire films it seeks to emulate and flatulate.  No commercial or fuking with this week, so guys, check out Good Omens and Amazon Prime, its really amazing and is super big budget for a series like this. I'm going to be honest, I think this is the most analytical we have been as a podcast, and its supremely comedic that it occurred on what I would say is a very simple franchise. The Fuks break down how the new Godzilla film not only brings in the best aspects of the past iterations, but also how its Kaiju-centric story spans genres and takes many aspects for critically renowned movies. Dive in and discover the intricacies with us, and as always, enjoy. 

This week, we welcome a unique guest, and try and muddle through the confusing backstory and remarkable stunts in the latest iteration of the John Wick series. Hello again, on this episode, the Fuks go scary with the newest film by Jordan Peele, Us. They struggle through what to think about the sociological criticisms of this movie, and theres also a short summary by one of our favorite friends, the cum cuck lord Grant.

The gang sits down to debate the intricacies of teen romance and gruesome action sequences in Alita: Battle Angel. While the action sequences felt very 80s and very manga, the rollerball spinoff fell short of providing the character development we cultured 25-26 year olds crave. Will this movie have the social impact that What Women Want had, being the highest grossing female directed movie at the time? probably not, but it will definitely be something that anyone who is at all liberal will leave the theater thinking "why are we still making movies like this?" The incredible conclusion to a 19 year saga, M. Night Shyamalan tries to subvert the tropes we have seen almost bimonthly with superhero movies. Definitely some conflicting thoughts on this movie, but hopefully all our listeners will agree with Ryan because frankly he's right, M. Night Shyamalan has thought a little more about this series than Wally gives them credit for. (can you tell at this point who writes these descriptions.....I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count). The sponsor this week kind of left a bad taste in our mouths, so we cut it off before the frankly horrifying testimonies of a new ride at 20 flags.
