At some point Andrew heard Johnny say “I never saw Tim Hill's 2007 live-action/animation hybrid Alvin And The Chipmunks” so this episode exists. Johnny discusses seeing Six and Drop, there's a deep-dive into the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and someone says “Alviiiin” like there's a paycheque waving offscreen.
For this episode Dan, Michael and Helena look back at a movie Dan watched and loved when it came out, but the others hadn't seen, Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007). ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS FRANCHISE MARATHONHistory has been made: the first ever Squeakquel. They said they were mad... but Hollywood made it happen.Following Alvin and the Chipmunks' rise to fame in the first film, only to discover that family and love is much more valuable than being in the spotlight, they move onto the next logical narrative step: going to high school. And also there's girl chipmunks now, too.Kane and Rhys mourn the loss of screen time spent with Jason Lee in this entry, and discuss how it makes no f*cking sense that these little creatures were accepted in human high school.Podcast Instagram: @marathonme_officialPodcast Facebook page: @marathonmeofficalEmail: marathonmepodc@gmail.com
ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS FRANCHISE MARATHONIt's all been building up to this one... the journey of Dave Savil and his borderline psychotic break, where Chipmunks take over the man's life. There's Alvin, Simon and Theodore, and the whole world is there oyster. They're not just cool, handsome, smart and ambitious... they can also SING. And this is all that Jason Lee... I mean Dave, needs to save his crumbling life.Kane and Rhys start to unpack their watch-a-thon of the Chipmunk movies and answer the question if the original still holds up now as grown-ass adults.Podcast Instagram: @marathonme_officialPodcast Facebook page: @marathonmeofficalEmail: marathonmepodc@gmail.com

Today, we're exploring some of cinema's most unforgettable auditory experiences with our countdown of the Top 5 Annoying Voices in Movies. Then, we'll dive into the darkly humorous world of Psycho Goreman, followed by a shift to the high-pitched antics of Alvin and the Chipmunks.Top 5 Annoying Voices in Movies:Jar Jar Binks - Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) - The Gungan outcast, Jar Jar Binks, notorious for his grating voice and controversial persona, is often cited as one of the most irritating characters in the Star Wars universe.Ruby Rhod - The Fifth Element (1997) - Chris Tucker's flamboyant performance as Ruby Rhod is unforgettable, with his shrill, rapid-fire dialogue delivery that you either love or hate.Franck Eggelhoffer - Father of the Bride Part II (1995) - Martin Short's portrayal of the eccentric wedding planner, with his exaggerated accent and piercing voice, brings a comic relief that teeters on the edge of annoyance for some viewers. The Chipmunks - Alvin and the Chipmunks series - With their iconic high-pitched voices, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are beloved by kids but can be a bit much for many adults over the course of a movie.Scrat - Ice Age series - Scrat, the saber-toothed squirrel obsessed with acorns, doesn't speak, but his high-pitched squeals as he gets into one misadventure after another can be quite grating.Psycho Goreman, or PG for short, is a unique blend of horror, comedy, and sci-fi elements. The film follows siblings Mimi and Luke who unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord, but find they can control him with a magical amulet. Despite his terrifying appearance and history of cosmic atrocities, PG's interaction with the kids leads to many darkly comedic situations. The film is a tribute to 80s and 90s horror aesthetics, blending absurdity with gore to create a cult-like appeal.Switching gears, Alvin and the Chipmunks offers a lighter, family-friendly viewing experience. The film features the mischievous adventures of three singing chipmunks - Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. The movie combines music, mischief, and heartfelt moments, although the chipmunks' high-pitched singing voices might test the patience of some parents.Whether you're intrigued by the irritatingly unforgettable voices in film or looking for a mix of horror-comedy and family fun, today's episode is packed with insights and entertainment. Tune in as we navigate through the cacophony of some of cinema's most uniquely voiced characters.

Okay, so here's the story: Three adopted brothers have a successful career as touring singers. They've got it all: Fans by the bus-full, merch at Top Topic and records galore. And they just happen to be rodents. No one's perfect. Here now is the story of how these musical brothers came to Saturday Morning. Did $200 start a worldwide phenomenon? What's the story with the creator of the characters? Are the Chipmunks still a family business? All these questions, and more, will be answered in this look at ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS! Happy Halloween Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today in the spirit of the holiday I decided to cover a spooky Alvin and the Chipmunks Episode, this one comes from Season 7 and aired in September 1989, entitled Nightmare On Seville Street. In this episode on a Saturday afternoon Dave takes the boys to the movies to see the Fuzzie Bunnies: The Homecoming Movie although Alvin really wants to see Hideous Harold PART X1 (11). As soon as Dave leaves and the boys head to their theater, Alvin makes a detour for the horror film and Simon and Theodore have no choice but to follow him in. They all get freaked out, since this movie looks like a combination of Nightmare On Elm Street (Alvin reference's Nightmare Land) we see this old man with a gray mustache wearing a slicker and hat (similar to the fisherman in I Know What You Did Last Summer), (he also has a rake garden trowel for a hand)but this guy is burning down small cabins which gave me Friday the 13th vibes (even if I've never seen the movie). Dave picks the boys up from the movie and they walk out of the theater with their hair standing on end (it's actually kind of cute). The boys go home and once it gets dark out they're afraid to go to sleep, Dave still has no idea they saw the horror movie. Then the lights go out and Dave has to change a fuse which is located outside the house. Not surprising he gets locked out and finds a slicker and hat identical to Hideous Harold's hanging on the side of the house. Did I mention it's raining and storming outside like the world is coming to an end. The boys notice who they think is Hideous Harold but it's just Dave trying to get their attention to let him back in the house (he even climbs on the roof to get to their window on the second floor of the house. The boys since they can't sleep, rig up a device that will take out this supposed creepy man complete with a bat as a battering ram and a net. There is even a song about capturing Hideous Harold. It's kinda catchy. Luckily for Dave, he finally convinces the boys that it's him and then to teach them a lesson he makes the boys spend a whole Saturday cleaning the house top to bottom. I hope you enjoy the Podcast Episode and have a safe Halloween and great week!
Hello and welcome! Yes, you read the title right...we are doing this movie. Stay until the very end for a special treat ;). Thank you for listening.

This week Alvin and the Chipmunks sing us out for our final episode EVER. (unless there is money involved, or beer probably) We manage to hold back the tears as we take a last look at an 80's or 90's cartoon and barely talk about it.. we get distracted talking about food. There is the deciding round of 'Would I lie to you' and LOTS of nonsense. This week we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks Season 1 episode 8(5a) Mr Fabulous. Its honestly been a pleasure to share this with you all, but for now. Thank you and Goodbye.
