The second of the 2-part series about a singer from the Philippines. This story explores how social media can form new friendships and relationships. At the same time, this story explores how people can be inspired by music and song.
Adarna is a mystical bird from the Philippine folklore which can cure ailments of the body and mind through its singing. When it sings, the colors of its feathers change and its voice captures the hearts of those listening to it. My short story is inspired by two lady singers of the Philippines whose voices have been my muses. They are Regine Velasquez and Morissette Amon. This story, as always, is dedicated to God's greatest gifts to me -- the people I love, especially my family.
