After divorce, many women aren't just grieving...they're carrying too much in their nervous system.Too much responsibility.Too much self-doubt.Too much pressure to hold it together. That load doesn't live in your thoughts. It lives in your body.In this episode, Dawn guides a somatic practice that blends EFT tapping with IFS-style parts work to help the nervous system release what it's been holding. This is not about insight, fixing, or doing it right. It's about staying in the body long enough for real relief to happen. The focus is simple: meet the overwhelmed part with compassion, let go of what was never meant to be carried alone, and restore capacity one layer at a time.If this created even a small shift, there are three ways to continue:• Take the Divorce Recovery Nervous System Quiz to understand how your system is organized after divorce and where it's getting stuck.• Join Dear Divorce Diary Premium for deeper nervous system support, guided practices, and behind-the-scenes conversations.• Join the Cocoon Community for ongoing (free), structured support that integrates somatic work, regulation, and real-life healing. This isn't about becoming stronger. It's about carrying less.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MyCoachDawnInstagram: (@dawnwiggins)Instagram: (@coachtiffini)On the Web: https://www.mycoachdawn.comA podcast exploring the journey of life after divorce, delving into topics like divorce grief, loneliness, anxiety, manifesting, the impact of different attachment styles and codependency, setting healthy boundaries, energy healing with homeopathy, managing the nervous system during divorce depression, understanding the stages of divorce grief, and using the Law of Attraction and EMDR therapy in the process of building your confidence, forgiveness and letting go.Support the show✨Join the Cocoon Community - your people are waiting! ✨

The holidays can make everything feel heavier — especially when you're freshly divorced or still deep in the weeds of it all.In this episode of Dear Divorce Diary, we talk about three hidden patterns that often stall divorce healing and leave women feeling unsafe, unmoored, and scattered, even when the marriage is over and you're trying to move forward. This conversation is a teaser for Season 5 - can you believe it?!- where we'll spend six weeks breaking these patterns down and showing you how to work with your nervous system instead of fighting it. We talk about why anxiety can increase after divorce, why many women feel foggy or shut down, and why “just pushing through” rarely helps during already overwhelming seasons like Hanukkah and the lead-up to Christmas. If you're listening while navigating the holidays and wondering why things still feel so hard, this episode will help you understand what's actually happening. And if this season already feels like too much, stay close. Our 12 Days of Divorce Christmas series starts next and is designed to support you through the moments that tend to hit the hardest.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MyCoachDawnInstagram: (@dawnwiggins)Instagram: (@coachtiffini)On the Web: https://www.mycoachdawn.comA podcast exploring the journey of life after divorce, delving into topics like divorce grief, loneliness, anxiety, manifesting, the impact of different attachment styles and codependency, setting healthy boundaries, energy healing with homeopathy, managing the nervous system during divorce depression, understanding the stages of divorce grief, and using the Law of Attraction and EMDR therapy in the process of building your confidence, forgiveness and letting go.Support the show✨Join the Cocoon Community - your people are waiting! ✨

Moderator: Alfonso Magliacano (Florence, Italy) Guest: Charlène Aubinet (Liege, Belgium) In this episode, Alfonso Magliacano is joined by Charlène Aubinet to examine how language and communication impairments shape the assessment and recovery of patients emerging from coma. They discuss the clinical distinctions between unresponsive wakefulness syndrome and the minimally conscious state, highlighting how aphasia and other comorbidities can obscure signs of awareness and lead to misdiagnosis. Dr. Aubinet outlines emerging tools, from eye-tracking assessments to EEG and fMRI markers, that help detect residual language processing even without behavioral responses. The conversation also explores how early linguistic abilities can serve as prognostic indicators, the practical challenges faced by speech therapists, and the evidence that some language processing may persist even in states of severely impaired consciousness, with important clinical and ethical implications.

At four years old, she survived a brutal car accident that left her in a coma—days trapped somewhere between life and death. When she finally opened her eyes, something opened with her. Something that would follow her for the rest of her life. The visions came first—impossible premonitions that played out exactly as she saw them. Then the shadows. The cold touches. The weight on her bed at night. The sense of a presence that didn't just watch… but recognized her. Knew her. And when she, in desperation, scribbled a Ouija board onto notebook paper, she had no idea she wasn't reaching out to the dead—she was inviting something far older. But nothing compared to the night the old soldier appeared—an apparition in full uniform pressing warnings into her thoughts. Warnings she ignored… until she discovered the uniform was real. WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? - 1 - Hebrews 6:1Coming out of Egypt and free from 400 years of slavery, the children of Israel were given a promise they would never have to go back. We received the same promise when we were set free from the slavery of sin! But once out of Egypt, where do we go from here? Directly from the word of God, we look at how our faith becomes effectual, as we go unto perfection leaving behind dead works. WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? - 2 - Ephesians 4:11-15 - Tossed Or CrossedGod meant for the children of Israel to leave Egypt in order to cross the Jordan river into the land of promise. Yet they wandered in disobedience and unbelief until they died 40 years later in the desert. Directly from the word of God we find out why they were tossed around walking in circles and never crossed over to receive the promise. Today's episode is personal, unpolished, and happening in real time. This is the first in our new premium series, Behind the Mic—where we take you into the conversations that usually happen off-air. And this week, I'm sharing something I'm still moving through: a recent miscarriage.Inside this conversation, we talk about how this loss collided with my lifelong pattern of staying in masculine energy—overfunctioning, overproducing, and avoiding vulnerability by handling everything myself. We explore why receiving support still feels harder than giving it, how early attachment trauma shaped that, and what happens to a woman's nervous system and hormones when softness feels unsafe. You'll also hear a candid discussion between me, Joy, and Tiff about suppression, self-sacrifice, and the way so many high-achieving women are conditioned to stay “strong” at the expense of their own bodies. This isn't a polished teaching moment. It's us, in the middle of it, naming patterns as they surface and practicing the very tools we teach—IFS, EMDR principles, nervous system awareness—to move through something raw and immediate. If you've ever carried grief alone, struggled to step out of your masculine, or felt terrified to let yourself be supported, this conversation will land in a very specific place.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MyCoachDawnInstagram: (@dawnwiggins)Instagram: (@coachtiffini)On the Web: https://www.mycoachdawn.comA podcast exploring the journey of life after divorce, delving into topics like divorce grief, loneliness, anxiety, manifesting, the impact of different attachment styles and codependency, setting healthy boundaries, energy healing with homeopathy, managing the nervous system during divorce depression, understanding the stages of divorce grief, and using the Law of Attraction and EMDR therapy in the process of building your confidence, forgiveness and letting go.Support the show✨Join the Cocoon Community - your people are waiting! ✨

If the holidays feel heavier this year—even the tiny decisions that shouldn't take this much out of you—there's a reason. After divorce, women carry an invisible load no one prepares us for. The planning, the negotiating, the managing, the remembering, the holding-it-all-together… it piles up until your body feels like it's running on fumes. And that overwhelm you keep blaming on weakness or poor coping? It's not that. It's decision fatigue—and the version divorced women face during the holidays is unlike anything you dealt with before. In this episode, we break down the hidden loop that keeps you exhausted: – why making every decision alone pushes your system into overdrive – how living in “fix it / manage it / hold it all” mode disconnects you from ease – the subtle ways grief shows up through your holiday choices – and why this season feels so much harder than it looks from the outsideMost importantly, you'll learn the first real step toward breaking that cycle—so you can stop white-knuckling your way through December and start making choices that are kind to your body, not destructive to it.You're not failing. You're not too emotional. You're not “bad at the holidays.”You're overwhelmed because you've been carrying more than anyone can see.Come sit with us. THE PROMISE AND THE PERFORMANCE - 1 - John 2:1-11Directly from the word of God we look at a miracle that was accomplished and fulfilled because of obedience. The servants who were asked to help Jesus out were encouraged by Mary to do whatever Jesus would tell them to do. This is how things get done with God according to his will; by obediently following his instructions. It's art, memory, and freedom.”On this episode Troy Meadows sits down with Malcolm Pascotti, founder of Can't Buy Cool Studios. Malcolm's journey is one of quiet evolution. He started as a road runner, lots of miles in high school and beyond, but during the pandemic, while living in San Francisco, he began exploring trails in the Marin Headlands and hills around Pacifica. That slow, natural shift eventually led him into mountain running and “DIY ultras” solo, self‑supported runs of 30–40 miles, all on his own terms. What makes Malcolm stand out isn't just distance or pace, but the way he mixes movement with creativity. Outside of running, he climbs, skis, scrambles, shoots photography (both professionally and for fun), writes poems and musings. He calls it living. He also quietly gives back to the community: providing gear and support to fellow runners, like when he ran a T-shirt sale to help fund race entries for another runner, proof that support doesn't always need spotlight.Malcolm is quietly building Can't Buy Cool Studios, weaving together art, running, identity, and community.Motivational HighlightsEmbrace adventure on your own terms — solo ultras don't have to be for trophies, they can be for the soul.Running can be part of a creative life — movement, art, writing, identity — all deeply connected.Quiet generosity matters: supporting others in small ways helps build a stronger, more inclusive community.Balance is messy but possible: holding down a full-time job, a creative process, and still getting out for the run.Links & ResourcesIG: @cantbuycoolstudiosWebsite: https://cantbuycoolstudios.com/Partner Links: Janji - Janji.comA big shoutout to our sponsor, Janji! If you've ever felt that tug toward your ex...not the man, but the idea of him...we've got you. That pull is your nervous system trying to finish a story it never got closure on. And after divorce, that pull gets loud.In this episode, we break down why trauma bonds feel like soul ties and why your body keeps reaching for someone who couldn't give you safety. You'll learn what's actually happening in your brain, why familiar pain feels magnetic, and how to interrupt the urge to text him back.We also give you a simple sentence you can use the second your spiral starts, and we help you begin separating trauma from truth—because those two feel identical when you're hurting. And inside Cocoon this week, we're celebrating wins, joy, and nervous-system rehab with this month's Magic Drop giveaway. (If you're not in the community yet… get in there.)If peace feels unfamiliar, if chaos feels like home, if your body keeps wanting what your mind already left—this one's for you.Don't miss Thursday's premium episode. professorjrod@gmail.comA single glowing dot in a glass tube changed how we understand the world. We follow that spark from Carl Ferdinand Braun's cathode-ray breakthrough to radar operators reading life-and-death blips, to living rooms lit by television and desktops shaped by GUI windows. Along the way, we show why screens didn't just display information—they taught humans to think in frames, patterns, and pixels.I walk through the interface pivots that mattered: when computers stopped spitting paper and started talking back visually; when text terminals gave way to Xerox PARC's icons and pointers; when Apple and IBM normalized monitors as the heart of personal computing with standards like CGA, EGA, and VGA. Then we dive into the flat panel turn: the physics of liquid crystals, the jump from passive to active matrix TFT, and the moment LCDs escaped laptops to conquer the desk. We weigh plasma's cinematic highs and practical lows, and how LED backlights, higher refresh rates, and HDR transformed clarity, contrast, and color. From there, we explore OLED's promise—self-emissive pixels with true blacks, flexible forms, and motion precision that redefined smartphones, TVs, and creative workflows. We compare Mini‑LED's local dimming advances and MicroLED's potential for brightness, longevity, and perfect blacks, while noting the manufacturing roadblocks. Finally, we look ahead: curved, foldable, and rollable designs that adapt to you; VR and AR that pull displays onto your eyes; and early steps toward holograms and light field systems that project depth without headsets. The through-line is simple and profound: as control over light improves, the screen fades and the experience takes its place. If this journey reshaped how you see your monitor, share it with a friend, subscribe for more deep dives, and leave a review to help others discover Technology Tap.Support the showArt By Sarah/DesmondMusic by Joakim KarudLittle chacha ProductionsJuan Rodriguez can be reached atTikTok @ProfessorJrodProfessorJRod@gmail.com@Prof_JRodInstagram ProfessorJRod

Jon's career in tech didn't prepare him for the kind of grit and self‑discovery he found on the trails, especially when he set his sights on the infamous Barkley Marathons. On the way he picked up ultra finishes at events like Niwot's Challenge and the Yucca Bar Massacre, embraced navigation‑heavy racing, and turned running into a tool for resilience and community.Highlights:How Jon went from programming to pursing ultra adventures—with little thought for convention. What draws him to Barkley‑style races: the unknown, the navigational challenge, the refusal to accept a “normal” race.Key training takeaways: establishing strength, avoiding injury through smart prep, embracing weekly yoga and strength work (yes, even for ultra runners).Motivational nuggets: How showing up matters more than finishing; how joy in running can exist alongside the grind; why community and purpose matter just as much as pace.Practical tips: For runners looking to level up in 2025—whether you're chasing 50 miles or chasing meaning—you'll hear what made the difference for Jon.Jon's links:IG: @mildly_athleticIG: @runningwithproblems“Running With Problems” podcast infoJon's race archive & blogJon's Barkley 2023 race reportBarkley Marathons background infoPartner Links: Janji - Janji.comA big shoutout to our sponsor, Janji! What creatures reside at the edge of reality, and what happens when we cross into the space of nonreality where we can't trust our perceptions? On this episode we explore reports of floating jellyfish drifting through the sky, squid-like beings gliding over forests, octopoid forms appearing out of nowhere, and entities hidden behind cloaks of invisibility. From dark forces stalking remote woodlands to encounters with creatures that slip between worlds, a strange intelligence seems to be moving just beyond the visible. Then for our Plus+ members we turn to the mysteries that emerge at the boundary of life itself. We examine accounts of terminal lucidity and the sudden clarity that arises at the brink of death. These profound experiences invite us to consider the structure of consciousness and whether such luminous parting moments reveal doorways to other realms or realities far more wondrous than our own. Her story flips the usual “runner interview” on its head, and it's rich in meaning.Guest journey & highlightsErica is married to a race‑director, which opened her door into the world of trail and ultra running from a different vantage point—supporting, creating, building instead of racing. On her 42‑acre farm in North Carolina (nestled between Asheville and Charlotte), she homesteads, grows endangered medicinal plants, sews sustainable slow‑fashion pieces, and dives deep into frameworks of wilderness, microbiome, community and true belonging. Her family's race event, the Hollis Hills Farm Revival (50 km, 25 k, 5 mile) is part trail run, part community fest, part land‑revival project. She speaks to how the ultra world (sometimes stereotyped as hyper‑competitive) can actually be profoundly welcoming to non‑runners, volunteers, supporters—the “behind the scenes” humans.Motivational takeaways: You don't need to be the person crossing the finish line to belong here. Contribution isn't always measured in miles. Sustainability, craft, community resilience—these are trail values too. From humble beginnings in Tennessee to building the most notorious events in ultrarunning, Laz has done more than just push limits—he's redefined them. What you'll hear in this episode:How Laz went from a casual runner to the creator of iconic ultras like the Barkley Marathons and Big's Backyard Ultra. The origin story of Barkley and the infamous map, highlighters, and those cryptic course notes. Why he believes failure is a feature—not a flaw—of a well-designed race.Thoughts on what makes someone endure, when everyone else taps out.His philosophy on community, suffering, and why the human spirit shines brightest in darkness. The ethos behind races that break you down, only to build you back stronger.Whether you're a back-of-the-pack grinder or chasing podiums, Laz's words will hit home. His belief that every runner has untapped reserves of toughness is as brutal as it is uplifting.Relevant Links:The Barkley Marathons – Official SiteBig's Backyard UltraFrozen Head State Park (Barkley's Home)The Endurance Artist – Book on Lazarus LakePartner Links: Janji - Janji.comA big shoutout to our sponsor, Janji!
