Imagine fishing one of the most pressured, clearest, grass-covered lakes in the country during one of the biggest pro bass tournaments for the 1st time ever. Well, that was me this past week. It indeed proved to be a major challenge and, not that I need it, but a humbling experience! However, I was blessed to get the opportunity to sit down with an amazing lady out on Lake Guntersville, Captain Betty Stahl, and that made any struggles I may have had on the fishing side more than worthwhile. I am excited to share it with you on this week's episode! Betty grew up fishing in Florida but eventually moved to the Guntersville area specifically because of this amazing fishery. She is now doing guided trips, and she knows this lake through and through. She fished the Bassin' Gals trail back in the heyday and now she's currently the only female team fishing the Alabama Bass Trail and kicking some tail! At 71 years old (sorry Betty I hope that's ok to reveal your age but you don't resemble anywhere close to it!!!), you're about to get taken to class! Listen in and take notes from Captain Betty! ***Note while we were camped at Guntersville State Park one of the MLF competitors approached me and asked about the podcast. He said, I have someone you need to have on your show, her name is Captain Betty Stahl. I said, "I'm way ahead of you! She came out here yesterday afternoon and we had a great visit!"
