The American frontier was full of things that settlers and soldiers couldn't explain, and among the strangest were the Wild Man accounts that began appearing in newspapers decades before anyone coined the term Bigfoot.In this episode, we dig deep into the historical record and examine encounter reports from the eighteen forties through the eighteen sixties, beginning with the eighteen sixty-five Paraclifta, Arkansas account published in the Weekly Standard of Raleigh, North Carolina, and working backward to the eighteen fifty-one Greene County cattle chase first reported by the Memphis Enquirer, the eighteen forty-six Crowley's Ridge footprint discovery published in the Baltimore Sun, and the violent eighteen fifty-six pursuit and attack near the Ouachita Mountains. Historically, credit unions have accessed capital through CDs, short- and long-term loans, and other investment funds to help them expand and pursue strategic initiatives. However, as credit unions have grown over the years and are offering more complex services, there is a demand to meet balance sheet needs, causing them to enter the secondary capital market. Capital markets also create an additional opportunity for credit unions to become issuers of capital through subordinated debt. Hurricane Ida destroyed my recording studio and so our scheduled return in November has been placed on an indefinate hiatus. Before I place what's left of my studio into temporary storage I decided to take out my trusty PCM-D50 battery operated recorder to introduce a fan favorite, another track from Ululation 2 by John Lee Krasnow. Here is the first track from the “B” side of the album titled “Cruel & Unusual”. The track features Valery Ponomarev on trumpet, Paul Ostermayer, soprano and alto sax, John Lee Krasnow, baritone sax, Eric Goletz, trombone and additional keyboards, Bill Patton, bass and guitar and Ron Vincent, drums.
