On multiple occasions he was recalled to deploy on short notice tasks including BLM riots, Iraq and was part of the the withdrawal in Kabul Afghanistan securing HKIA aka Hamid Karzai International Airport. The top 8 teams for AP and CFP rankings match, after that there are several changes with teams like Washington, Clemson, Notre Dame, LSU and Kansas State. The committee has Kansas State at No. 10 and LSU at No. 14, but the AP rankings have Kansas State at No. 13 and LSU at No. 11. Washington is also No. 12 according to the committee while the AP has them at No. 9.
