As we wrap up our series, The Spirit Filled Church, Pastor Bob explores how to finish well in our spiritual journey, drawing from Acts 20 and the Apostle Paul's emotional farewell to the Ephesians, emphasizing the importance of holding to the Gospel, remaining faithful through life's challenges, protecting the truth, and living generously for a lasting legacy.
Welcome to our series on the Holy Spirit: Do You Hear The Wind? Today, we end with a bang by turning to Acts. How can we not? St. Luke wrote a two-volume work—Luke-Acts—with Luke mentioning the Holy Spirit 17 times and Acts mentioning the Holy Spirit 57 times—for a grand total of 74 times. More than any other Gospel or single Epistle in the New Testament. By the way, Luke didn't give the title to his books. Someone else did that in the 2nd century. So, if we can rename them, we'll title them in this way: Gospel of Luke: Acts of the Spirit Through Jesus Book of Acts: Acts of the Spirit Through The Church The key message of Talk 4: You will receive Power.
In this week's message from, "The Spirit Filled Church," Head of School at Christian School of York, Jeremy Drake, reflects on the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, recounting personal experiences of faith and the significance of baptism in the name of Jesus, while emphasizing the church's call to live in victory and empowerment through the Spirit.

The Power Of Prayer
Let us know if this message impacted you!Worship isn't about “having it our way,” it's about giving God what He wants. As we continue our exploration of "The Spirit-Filled Church," we examine how a spirit-filled church finds true freedom when it shifts from self-obsession to God-obsession, just as Paul and Silas did, worshiping even in chains. When we give God our sacrifice of praise, His Spirit shows up, prisoners are listening, and freedom is released into our lives. Support the show
