What if you didn't have to have it all figured out to begin again? On this episode of Moonbeaming, Sarah sits down with poet, astrologer, and author Heidi Rose Robbins to explore what it means to move through change with more presence, creativity, and trust. Together, they reflect on what the Moon Studio is calling the “year of the pivot”—a time of reinvention, letting go, and becoming someone new, often without having a clear plan. They talk about how to navigate these moments without forcing clarity or perfection, and why the smallest steps can be the most powerful place to begin. Heidi shares how poetry, astrology, and daily practices like writing can become a tool to help us move through uncertainty with more compassion. The two also explore the role of repetition in creativity, the importance of showing up consistently (even imperfectly), and how structure can support us as we evolve. In this episode, you'll hear: Why 2026 is a “year of the pivot” and what that actually means How to take the first step when you don't feel ready Using poetry and writing as a tool for emotional alchemy Letting go of urgency and reconnecting to presence Why repetition—not perfection—is the key to creative work The power of daily practices (like Heidi's “Moon Notes”) How astrology can be a tool for self-compassion and connection Learning to trust timing, cycles, and your own inner knowing This episode is an invitation to slow down, listen more deeply, and trust that something new may already be opening. In a world of misinformation and uncertainty, we're often tempted to think our way out of our problems. But what if more knowledge isn't the answer? In this episode, I talk with philosopher and author James K.A. Smith about his book Make Your Home in This Luminous Dark and why the pursuit of certainty can easily become an idol. We discuss his personal journey discovering the wisdom of silence, solitude, and surrender after a season of depression forced him to confront problems thinking alone couldn't solve. We explore the insights of the medieval mystics, what it means to let go of the need to win arguments, why our bodies matter in spiritual practice, and how discovering our belovedness reshapes the way we live and engage the world.James K. A. Smith is professor of philosophy at Calvin University and author of Make Your Home in this Luminous Dark: Mysticism, Art, and the Gift of Unknowing (Yale, March 2026). The F.A.T.E. Podcast is back up with the Season 3 opener and host Christy Busby is finally giving a long overdue update on her own spiritual journey. Submerged in yet another dark night of the soul, she voraciously consumed all things spiritual which became an uncompromising investigation into consciousness, power, and the nature of reality itself.Every rabbit hole she went down has been realigning her thoughts, the structure of belief her system, and the mechanics of perception. Questioning everything, she started asking what I could verify within myself, using my own discernment and letting intuition and heart lead the whole way. This all culminated in a magical night on the first night of the winter solstice in December 2025. It was an evening led by intuition, divine guidance, and it shifted my mind and body in a way that I cannot understand and have no logical explanation for.  I'll tell you my story.  It will be up to your own discernment to decide if it's true. This season 3 of the F.A.T.E. podcast will awaken you to your true self. While attending a training class at the Encounter School of Ministry, Ginny sat before the tabernacle as her classmates practiced prayers for inner and physical healing. One student, simply following a script, asked if she wanted prayer for anything else. Ginny quietly said, “Yes—my vision.” What her classmate didn't know was that a botched cataract surgery had left Ginny with severely compromised eyesight. In this episode, Ginny explains the dramatic moments that followed. This miracle is only part of Ginny's story. Years earlier, while teaching the Ignatian Exercises, she endured a dark night of the soul—believing there was no God. In this conversation, Jenann explains why no system, not even a perfect computer, can predict its own future, and how this inherent unpredictability opens the door to real agency. We explore the paradox of identity, the limits of determinism, the role of memory in selfhood, and why your choices truly come from you. This is the clearest, most rigorous defense of free will in the age of physics. Send us a textHello and welcome to the Self-Reflection Podcast, where we explore the depths of personal growth and spiritual awakening. I'm Lira Ndifon, and today we're delving into the powerful realm of spiritual self-healing, focusing on Chapter 7 of "Awaken Your True Self."In this episode, we explore the indispensable role of self-reflection in the healing process. We discuss how it allows us to move beyond surface-level emotions and confront the root causes of our pain. Unlike simply covering up wounds, true healing requires deep introspection and self-acceptance. We emphasize that while external support like therapy and medication can be beneficial, the core of healing lies in the willingness to look inward. We examine the importance of recognizing patterns and karmic lessons in our lives. Often, the universe sends us repeated messages through our experiences, urging us to let go of what no longer serves us. We share personal examples of how identifying these patterns can lead to significant life changes, such as prioritizing mental health over external pressures.Furthermore, we discuss the significance of thought patterns and their impact on our emotional and behavioral well-being. By practicing self-reflection, we can identify negative thought cycles and actively work to reshape them through positive affirmations and reframing our perspectives. This spiritual approach to healing involves connecting with our inner selves, acknowledging that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.Vulnerability is highlighted as a crucial aspect of spiritual healing. We explore the concept of the "dark night of the soul" and how embracing vulnerability allows us to confront and heal from our deepest traumas. By facing our shadows with compassion and empathy, we can transform them from sources of fear into opportunities for growth.Thank you for joining me on this journey of spiritual self-healing. I hope this episode has inspired you to embrace vulnerability and confront your dark night of the soul.Support the showCall to Action: Engage with the Self-Reflection Podcast community! Are you there God? It's me…Why is God hidden? Why is God silent? And why does that matter in light of faith, hope, and love?In this episode, philosopher Deborah Casewell joins Evan Rosa for a discussion of divine hiddenness. Together, they reflect on:Simone Weil's distinction between abdication and abandonmentMartin Luther's theology of the crossThe differences between the epistemic, moral, and existential problems with the hiddenness of GodThe terror, horror, and fear that emerges from the human experience of divine hiddennessThe realities of seeing through a glass darkly and pursuing faith, hope, and loveAnd finally, what it means to live bravely in the tension or contracdition between the hiddenness of God and the faith in God's presence.About Deborah CasewellDeborah Casewell is Associate Professor in Philosophy at the University of Chester.
