We are back with the final edition of The Nielson Show of the week. We start off the show like we always do by recapping everyone's nights. Dusty told us and the nasties about his son's ball game from last night! And YTT shared how awesome the tailgate was! Â It was then time for Morning Announcements presented by 100.3 The Bear to recap some sport from last night. We touched on yesterday's all time Tecmo game between Hernan and Uke and a game seven will be had in the NBA! Â After the first sports update, we dove right into last night's Elks loss. What happened? Â We finished off hour one by Cracking Some Packs presented by Wayne's Sports Cards a& Collectables! The CFL season is upon us, which is exactly what we cracked!
Chris Johnston was the first guest on today's show. He touched on Connor McDavid's media avail from yesterday and shared whether or not he'll be taking his talent elsewhere. He then gave his thoughts on the Oilers signing Trent Frederic. We then shift gears to Evander Kane, is there a market for Evader Kane out there? CJ finished with his thoughts on the Oilers goaltending situation…  It was time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.  The jam packed second hour continues with Jamie McLennan after the sports update. He also touched on McDavid and whether or not he thinks he will resign in Edmonton. Noodles, being a former goalie in the NHL shared his thoughts on the Oilers goaltending situation. Jamie finished with his thoughts on the Oilers potentially signing Trent Frederic.  This did open up a can of worms... Are you concerned that McDavid will sign elsewhere? We then spent some time conversating about Evander Kane and whether or not he'll be an Oiler next season and what's going on with the LTIR. He touched on his game day routine, the difference of coming in this year compared to last year and finished with some kind words on fellow team mate Javon Leake.  Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda got us to the to the sports update.  Near the end of the hour, it was time to get Fired Up for Gemco Fireplaces! A lot to get fired up about today. The Elks home opener, the whole Kane LTIR situation, looks like Frederic is signing for eight more years. The NHL season has come to an end, but the CFL season has just begun! Tonight caps off Week 3 in the CFL. The Edmonton Elks are set for their home opener against the Montreal Alouettes which the fellas will give their best bets for. They'll also be previewing every other game in CFL Week 3.
