The Edmonton Oilers take a commanding 3-1 series after blanking the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in Game 4. Stuart Skinner had a bounce back game with a 24 save shutout and veteran Adam Henrique scored two goals to lead the way for the Oil. Edmonton was by far the better team on the night with Troy Stecher and Kasperi Kapanen impressing in their first game of the playoffs. The Edmonton Oilers are back in the series after a 4-3 overtime win on Sunday night. Once again the Oil mounted a third period comeback with Evan Bouchard scoring the tying goal with 29 seconds left in the game. Edmonton would dominate in overtime, cashing in on the power play off of Leon Draisaitl's stick. The series is now a best of three and heads back to L.A. for game 5 on Tuesday night. The Edmonton Oilers lose ugly in game 2, falling 6-2 to the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night. Not a lot to like from this game, as the Oilers penalty kill struggled once again, giving up 3 goals, while Stuart Skinner did not provide a big save and was pulled in the third period. The Oilers got goals from Leon Draisaitl and Viktor Arvidsson but didn't get much else from the forward group. The Edmonton Oilers third period comeback fell short as Phillip Danault scored the go-ahead goal with 42 seconds left in the game to lead the Kings to a 6-5 win. Lots to discuss from the game as McDavid had four points, Stuart Skinner needs to be better, brutal giveaways by Bouchard led to two goals and overall the Oil were good for only 20 minutes on the night which cost them Game 1. The Oilers lost a close one on Wednesday night as the Dallas Stars held on for a 4-3 win. The Oil came on strong in the third, scoring three goals but in the end they couldn't find the equalizer. Goaltender Stuart Skinner left the game in the third period due to a head shot from Mikko Rantanen, with Kris Knoblauch saying he will not travel to Seattle in his postgame presser. Corey Perry had some interesting things to say in his postgame interview as he was asked about the lack of response by the team on multiple shots at their goalie.
