Another Thursday has landed on the calendars and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you get you through what's left of your week. Today, the boys were talking about Jay's trip to Nashville, improving the atmosphere at Rogers Place, and a whole lot more. To kick off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys jumped in with a conversation about Jay's trip to Nashville and how it was a complete trainwreck despite the fact that he tried to get some work done while he was away. Whether it was his road trip to the Louisville Slugger factory or the bourbon distillery or his night at a Nashville Predators game, Jay had a hell of a week away and it was interesting to hear his thoughts on what he saw and whether we can bring those vibes to Edmonton. Sticking with the Oilers, the guys talked about the past week in Oiler-land and whether the boys were worried about a few sloppy starts even if the games resulted in wins. They also talked about team toughness in the lineup as Jay felt that the game against the Flames showed a deficiency in that department, prompting him and Tyler to argue about that need being real or not. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a look at April's Nation Vacation that will hopefully taking place in April.

The weekend may be over but that doesn't mean your fun has to end because the boys are back with a fresh episode of the Real Life Podcast to help you get this new week started. In today's episode, the guys talked about the new podcast studio, the first week of the NHL season, fan fights, and a whole lot more. Kicking off today's podcast, the guys jumped in with yet another conversation about the new podcast studio and what it's like to be back in the same room as the other boys for a podcast recording. From a construction standpoint, Chalmers couldn't help but spend a few minutes expressing his excitement about the new building and everything it took to put the project together. As you'll hear, the process to get the Umphreville Block going may seem simple to those that visit the neighbourhood for lunch or dinner, but it was not at all close to it. Changing gears, the guys got into some Oilers talk with a recap of Saturday night's Battle of Alberta and whether or not the team is tough enough after they were pushed around a little bit despite winning the hockey game. They also talked about how this Oilers team could be one of the most loveable squads that we've seen in quite some time, and whether or not this team has the pieces needed to make a real move. Lastly, the guys wrapped up this week's podcast with a look at yet another fan fight that happened in the stands this past week as people can't seem to figure out how to get along in a large group.

Another Thursday has arrived on our calendars and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you get you through what's left of your week. Today, the boys were talking about the season opener, and a whole lot more. To kick off the Thursday podcast, the guys jumped in with a look at last night's season opener as Tyler regaled the boys with stories from Rogers Place. From the atmosphere to the crowd to the ovations during player introductions, Yaremchuk broke down what happened at the game and spoke about what it was like to be back there for the first time in 581 days. From there, the podcast completely fell off the rails which allowed Wanye and Baggedmilk to tell stories that had nothing to do with anything. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast by diving into Tyler's life and trying to figure out what he's all about and where he wants to be. Needless to say, you'll probably learn more about what's going on with the Real Life producer than you've ever heard before.

In today's episode, the guys looked at the new recording studio, Tyler's tough day, previewed the new season, and a whole lot more. Kicking off today's podcast, the guys got started with a conversation about the new recording studio and all of the new content that's happening at Nation HQ for the upcoming season. As you'll hear, all of that new content meant more opportunities for Tyler to stress out which is an endless source of entertainment for anyone that gets to watch the chaos happen. Changing gears, the guys spoke with great enthusiasm about the new season as they walked through some of the futures bets that are listed on PointsBet. With the Oilers kicking off their season tomorrow night against the Canucks, the guys expressed their excitement about the new season and took a few guesses as to what the atmosphere will be like at Rogers Place for the first non-preseason game with fans in the building. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life by trying to extend the show long enough where Tyler wasn't able to get the food he was so desperately needing.

Another Thursday has arrived on our calendars and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you get you through what's left of your week. Today, the boys were talking about the new podcast studio, Brendan Perlini, and a whole lot more.   To kick off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with stories from their school days for some reason, which led down a strange road of grudges about parents giving their stuff away. That led to the boys chatting about the new recording studio and how only half of the cast members were told the podcast was being recorded at Nation HQ today. Somehow, the podcast studio talk caused Chalmers to complain about Connor McDavid's social media feed only featuring ads as opposed to what he's doing on a day-to-day basis. The guys also checked in on the latest round of NFL fan fights which cause Wanye, Jay, and Chalmers to reminisce about their fighting days and how Chalmers was apparently to blame for all of it. Lastly, we wrapped up the podcast with another round of construction tips with Chalmers to help everyone get ready for the coming winter.

In today's episode, the guys looked at Facebook and Instagram being down, the NHL preseason, Joey Moss' locker room tribute, and a whole lot more. Kicking off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a look at Facebook and Instagram being down and how the Internet is freaking out about the platforms being down. As much as we tend not to think about those platforms all that often apart from getting mad at relatives for their Farmville invites, there is nothing quite as entertaining as the reactions that spread around social media when one of the major platforms are is down.  Moving over to the Oilers, the guys got into some preseason talk as the Oilers continue to make cuts and inch their way towards an opening night roster. As the preseason wears on, the lineups are starting to take shape and it seemed like the guys are starting to get a little bit more fired up about the start of a new year.

Today, the boys were talking National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, fans being back at Rogers Place, and a whole lot more. Kicking off this week's podcast, the guys kicked off the Thursday episode of Real Life with a conversation about National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and why it's important to keep the conversation going beyond just this one day. Here at the Nation, the guys talked about how important it is for stories being posted online to take the time to learn about what happened in this county. Changing gears, the guys spoke at length about the preseason that's in full swing and whether or not we should be getting excited about how well the Oilers have done so far. From Zach Hyman finding a home on McDavid's wing to Lamborghini Perlini scoring goals en masse, the Kool-Aid was going down smooth as the guys had a hard time containing their excitement for the new season. Sticking with sports, the guys did another round of NFL bets ahead of the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Bengals and the Jaguars, which kicked off another round of chirps from the guys as they're all trying to muscle their way up the ladder as the podcast's best bettor.

The weekend may be over but that doesn't mean the fun has to end as the boys are back with a fresh episode of the Real Life Podcast to help you get through what's left of your Monday. In today's episode, the guys covered the Oilers' pre-season win over the Flames, climbing the oil derrick, and welcomed John Scott to the podcast to discuss all things hockey and preview the NHL season. To kick off the Monday podcast, the guys got started with a look at the Ryder Cup and specifically how funny it was to see Justin Thomas and Daniel Berger pounding back a couple of beers on day one of the tournament. Speaking of beers, the Oilers are setting up the oil derrick in Ford Hall near the beer gardens which prompted the guys to wonder how long it will take before some drunk dude decides to climb that baby. Getting the show back on the rails, the guys welcomed former NHL tough guy and Dropping the Gloves host, John Scott, to the podcast to talk about everything from sore hips, broken hands, and what it's like to play men's league as a retired NHLer. Looking ahead at the upcoming season, the guys asked John what he expects as the league goes back to its full schedule for the first time since the pandemic started. He also gave the boys a breakdown on what it will be like for the Oilers to have a future Hall of Famer like Duncan Keith in the dressing room. As someone that played with Keith for a couple of years in Chicago, Scott gave his take on how valuable it will be to have a veteran presence like #2 in the room. He also got the boys fired up with his takes on the Oilers that were not overly inspiring but it was definitely fun to hear everyone get fired up about it anyway.

Today, they're talking about new projects, podcast censorship, NFL betting, and a whole lot more. To kick things off, the podcast got started with a conversation about Jay's pitch call to ESPN about a potential new deal that the Network is working on for DailyFaceoff.com. From the legal talk to contracts with a massive company like Disney, it was interesting to hear Jay talk a little bit about what it's like for a deal like this to come together. From there, the guys started talking about all of the stuff that got bleeped out of Monday's podcast and the feedback that came in as a result. Did Tyler cut things out that needed to be cut to save the podcast? All unnecessary? Who's to say. Getting to the Oilers, the guys spoke a little bit about training camp, specifically the video that Ryan Rishaug posted that showed Connor McDavid blowing the doors off his teammates in a skating drill. Sticking with McDavid, the guys spent a few minutes talking about how the Oilers will be featured heavily on TNT in the USA this season and how it makes perfect sense to showcase the league's best player in an attempt to grow the game. Lastly, the guys wrapped up this week's podcast with a little bit of betting talk as week 3 of the NFL season kicks off tonight.

In today's episode, the guys covered Tyler Yaremchuks's rise to stardom, tennis documentaries, and a whole lot more.   To kick off the Monday podcast, the guys got started by busting Tyler Yaremchuk's balls after he spent a few days in Chicago hobnobbing with some of the NHL's elite last week with Frank Seravalli and the DailyFaceoff crew. From dinners with business daddy to a steak dinner with staff from ESPN to breaking news from Bill Daly, Yaremchuk's first week at full-time with the company was a ridiculous one and it was fun for everyone to hear him tell the story with a huge grin on his face. With Yaremchuk's tires adequately pumped, the podcast got derailed when Chalmers jumped in to talk about tennis documentaries that no one else had seen, but the good news is that it led into a conversation about the fight that broke out at the Cleveland Browns games this past weekend. Finally, the guys wrapped up the Monday episode of Real Life with a little bit of hockey talk after Kailer Yamamoto finally signed his new deal over the weekend, prompting Wanye to ask whether Yamo is as good as we all hope he needs to be.

Today, they're talking Woz's podcasting career, space documentaries, adding wrestling into hockey, and a whole lot more. Kicking off this week's podcast, the guys kicked off the Thursday episode of Real Life with a Woz interview as he was sitting in for Yaremchuk who decided to big time everyone and head down to Chicago with Frank Seravalli. From his soccer podcast taking off to landing a gig with the Nation, Woz gave the guys a rundown on his come up on social media and how he turned that into a gig with the Nation Network. Then, almost surprisingly, the guys sprinkled in a little bit of Oilers talk just to make Tyler Yaremchuk happy even though he'll never listen to the show before Wanye and Baggedmilk steered the podcast into the ditch with an array of topics from old Oilersnation history, trips to Vegas, space talk, and anything else they could think of to talk about. As you'd expect when the inmates take over the prison, this episode of Real Life was all over the map and absolutely structureless, and it will be interesting to hear from the listeners what they thought.

In today's episode, the guys covered glow golf, the Dansbury Trashers, and a whole lot more. To kick off the Monday podcast, the guys got started with a story about Jay's glow golf experience from this past weekend after a Real Life listener slid into his DMs to see if he'd be interested in entering a team. As you can imagine, golfing in the dark is a completely different animal from a normal round of golf and it was interesting to hear the guys give their takes on what it must be like to play in that environment. From there, the conversation changed gears and dove into the Netflix documentary Untold: Crime and Penalties that covered the Dansbury Trashers, and the boys couldn't contain their excitement about was undoubtedly an insane story. From the way the team was purchased to its unbelievable demise, the story of the Danbury Trashers is something every hockey fan should watch because it is a 90 journey that is endlessly entertaining. Finally, the guys wrapped up the Monday edition of the podcast with some sports betting talk after the NFL season kicked off, giving everyone a chance to recap their wins and confess to their losses.

Kicking off this week's podcast, Baggedmilk and Tyler got the podcast going while the rest of the crew either bailed or had an impossible time trying to join the zoom call, making for a ridiculously disjointed open to the podcast. After finally making his way into the podcast, Jay explained why he's having an impossible time joining the zoom call and how that led him to buy a second pair of AirPods, potentially welching on a deal he made with Baggedmilk to sell him the old headphones if he found them. Are there shenanigans afoot? It looks that way. Getting into Oilers Kool-Aid season, the guys talked about some of the futures bets you can put down on the team right now, and whether or not they'd be willing to put their own money down on bets like McDavid for Hart, Oilers to win, Draisaitl for Hart, and a whole lot more. From there, the podcast took a hard left as Woz told the story of a dog biting off one of his toes and what that meant for him now that he's slightly off balance. Changing gears, the guys had a quick chat about the new Nation HQ that is set to open shortly and how everyone is excited to not only get back in the office but to actually have somewhere cool to go and work. For everyone at Oilersnation, being together always ends up with us putting out our best work so it's no surprise that the guys are all looking forward to getting back to the office. How much does the Zach Hyman signing help? What about Warren Foegele? Is the defence going to be good enough to keep the puck out of the net? From there, the guys looked at player jerseys numbers, and wondered specifically about which number Hyman will wear as the guys all believe that his jersey will be a best-seller around these parts. Changing gears, the guys talked a little football as Aaron Rogers made some news yesterday after his open and honest assessment of where he's at with the Green Bay Packers. From there, the guys looked at NHL Free Agency that kicks off on Wednesday after news came out that the Oilers would be waiting until free agency day to sign Zach Hyman to a max-term deal. That's when Tyler hopped on the podcast to discuss his vacation and give a few takes on what's been going on in the NHL over the past few days. Moving on to the Olympics, the guys took guesses about what sport they could potentially participate in and not completely embarrass themselves. Lastly, the podcast wrapped up with the conversation about Wanye taking Wanye Jr. to swimming lessons and how he's the only dad in the pool amongst a flurry of moms.

Thursday means that your workweek is winding down and that the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode of the show to get you set for the weekend and break down the week that was. In today's episode, the guys covered Adam Larsson jumping ship, Frank Seravalli taking over Twitter, space talk, and a whole lot more. Kicking off the podcast, the guys started the podcast with a conversation about soccer as new Tyler (Liam) was sitting in since Yaremchuk decided the best time for a vacay was the business week in NHL news. Despite knowing nothing about soccer... err... football, the guys did their best to engage in the topic even though they could tell Liam thought they were idiots. Changing gears, the conversation turned to Jeff Bezos' space trip from a few days ago and tried to figure out what retail space travel will mean for human beings going forward. Next up, how could the guys not spend a few minutes talking about how Frank Seravalli broke Hockey Twitter yesterday with all of the breaking news he dropped about the Seattle expansion draft. Lastly, the podcast wrapped up by looking at the Edmonton Oilers and what they'll do next after they lost Adam Larsson to the Kraken and seem to have had their plans derailed a little bit.

This week, the guys covered the Oilersnation Open, new podcast intros, listener voicemails, and a whole lot more. Kicking off the podcast, the guys started the podcast with some quick golf talk as we draw ever closer to the Oilersnation Open. As the podcast started, the high bid to golf with the boys is $600 for a lucky duo that will join Jay, Chalmers, and Yaremchuk for a round at Cougar Creek. From there, Tyler showed off the brand new podcast intros that he's been sitting on, and once again, Baggedmilk was not in them. Disrespect? Direct shot? Only Tyler knows for sure. Getting back to hockey, the guys took some questions from Twitter about what's to come with the Oilers only to have the conversation fall off the rails almost immediately. Lastly, the guys wrapped the podcast with their first Big Brother segment of the year as everyone's favourite summer show has finally gotten underway.

In today's episode, the guys covered the Oilers rumours, disc golf, the Oilersnation Open, and a whole lot more. Kicking things off, the guys got the podcast started with a recap of the Nation Real Life Disc Golf Championship that took place this past Tuesday after the guys finally got out to Rundle Park to get a round under their belts. From the moment the guys arrived at Rundle to the minute they wrapped, the guys had nothing but good things to say about the sport they had never played before this even though it humbled them greatly with their lack of skill. Sticking with the links, the conversation turned to the upcoming Oilersnation Open that is set for August 26th and how you have the opportunity to bid to golf with the Real Life crew. Changing gears, Wanye then told a story of how his new neighbours saw him naked this past week, and the guys tried to figure out whether that's a good or bad first impression to have. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with some betting talk as The Open kicked off this weekend at Royal St. Georges Golf Course.

This week, the guys covered the Duncan Keith trade, Baggedmilk's gift to Jay, listener voicemails, and a whole lot more. To kick things off, the guys got started with a conversation about the Duncan Keith trade that just broke right before the podcast started and tried to make sense of why this deal had to happen now. Surprisingly, the boys on the podcast were split on the trade even though many Oilers fans were completely shocked that Holland decided to pull the trigger on the deal that's been talked about for weeks now. Unsurprisingly, no one was able to find middle ground on the trade but instead decided to leave things for a bit and see was else Holland does this offseason. From there, the conversation turned to Big Brother, which is the boys' favourite summer pastime, but unfortunately, not everyone was caught up yet but the excitement was still real. Lastly, the guys wrapped up this week's podcast with another look at the answering machine, as the listeners of the podcast flooded the boys with messages ranging from SlamBall talk to Disc Golf.

In today's episode, the guys discussed Tampa's Cup win, Kucherov's post-game interview, and a whole lot more. Kicking things off, the guys got the podcast started with Yaremchuk telling the story of a Wednesday wedding he attended and why he's so hungover on a Thursday. Who has a wedding on a Wednesday? It's a fair question, but that's the situation the guys started the show in. Steering the show back to the NHL, the guys talked about Nikita Kucherov's post-game interview after the star forward that left a wake of bodies behind him as it seemed like no one was safe from his ire. Changing gears, the guys then made their pitch for why you should sign up for the 2021 Oilersnation Open golf tournament that's coming up in late August, especially since we always have such an amazing time. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a quick preview of what's to come over the following weeks as we prepare to enter what will surely be a very busy offseason for the Oilers and NHL as a whole.

This week, the guys covered the Nugent-Hopkins extension, Duncan Keith, listener voicemails, and a whole lot more.   To kick things off, the guys got started with a conversation about Ryan Nugent-Hopkins re-signing for eight years since we didn't have a second podcast last week because of the holiday. From the love Baggedmilk got on Twitter after the announcement to the way 'Keep Nuge Forever' took on a life of its own over the last 10 years, having RNH stick with the team that drafted him was an exciting moment for the Nation. Somehow, talking about Nuge led the guys to talk about SlamBall for a few minutes after Chalmers rediscovered the sport recently, prompting the guys to wonder whether or not the sport could ever make a comeback. The guys also discussed the rumors that Duncan Keith could be coming to Edmonton after it was revealed that the veteran defender wants to be closer to his family in Penticton. Would it make sense for the Oilers to give up assets for a guy that's on the decline? Lastly, we wrapped up the Monday episode of Real Life by emptying the answering machine and taking listener questions.

This week, the guys covered the Edmonton heatwave, disc golf, forgotten languages, and a whole lot more.   To kick things off, the boys started with a quick conversation about how ridiculously hot it is in Edmonton this week, and how everybody is handling the heatwave so far.  From throwing wet towels in the freezer to sleeping in front of the air conditioner to complaining about Slurpee flavours again, the boys offered their best advice on what to do to stay cool over the upcoming week. From there, the conversation turned to disc golf again as it's becoming apparent that the sport is taking over the world after a clip from this past weekend went viral. Needless to say, the guys feel like they're getting into the sport on the ground level, and the fact that it's been months since they've started talking about it and not one disc has been thrown is hugely problematic. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Monday podcast by emptying out the answering machine and playing the voicemails you've all left over the past couple of weeks.

Based on the reaction from yesterday's announcement, a lot of people were clearly surprised that DailyFaceoff was able to land the biggest fish in the media free agent pool. Speaking of Frank, the man himself then joined the podcast to talk a little bit about this new partnership and what it meant to him to make a change and head into the digital space. From there, the guys asked Frank for his take on varying hockey subjects ranging from the best arenas to free agency to what to expect from this year's expansion draft. Needless to say, it was a lot of fun to have one of the NHL's elite insiders on the podcast to offer his thoughts and play along with the guys on what was yet another very fun episode.

To kick off the Monday episode of the Real Life podcast, the show got started with a look at Father's Day and how everyone spent the day. From Wanye getting a framed picture of Lil Wanye to Baggedmilk commenting on his dad's retirement gear to Yaremchuk holding hands with his old man, the guys spent a few minutes talking about their dads and what it was like to spend the day together. From there, the conversation turned to the history of NationGear as Tyler asked Wanye, Baggedmilk, and Jay about their favourite gear designs from throughout the years, and how the clothing line has evolved over the years. Getting back to the Oilers, the conversation turned to the dressing room as the boys tried to guess which Oilers would be the best future broadcasters when their NHL careers are over. Would it be Draisaitl? Mike Smith? Someone else? Next up, the guys emptied the answering machine as Nation Citizens have been having a lot of fun leaving messages for the show. Looking ahead at next season, Tyler wanted to know what everyone thought the Oilers could do to try and bolster the atmosphere at Rogers Place, especially after we're seeing how much fun Islanders and Golden Knights fans are having at their games right now.

From the pub (Dogpatch) to the bakery (Bread + Butter) to the new recording studio, Tyer had plenty of good things to say about the new office and what's to come. Changing gears, the guys got back into their disc golf dreams after Chalmers got an email from Eric Moon, a loyal Real Life listener and avid disc chucker. Will this email be the first step to actually getting out and rattling the chains? Sticking with summer sports, Baggedmilk asked the guys for some help with his pursuit of new golf clubs now that he's decided he wants to get out of his house after a year and a half indoors. Lastly, the guys wrapped up this week's podcast by launching a new segment called Current Events with Chalmers that may or may not happen on a weekly basis.

Somehow, that kicked off a chat about TikTok stars fighting each other and how Chalmers apparently knows more about the social platform than he cares to admit. Steering the show back to the Oilers, the guys reminisced about Fernando Pisani's OT goal from 15 years ago as he closed out Game 5 in the most dramatic fashion. Somehow the Oilers talk led the guys into a conversation about Brazil and how the city of Encantado is building a bigger statue of Jesus than the original that's in Rio de Janeiro. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a little bit of betting talk after Jay made some coin betting on the Islanders to beat the Bruins and has decided they will be his team for the rest of the playoffs.

From there, the guys talked a little bit about the Edmonton Oilers, specifically the reaction that came out last night when the Oilers re-signed Devin Shore to a two-year contract. If there's one thing we all know about Oilers, it's that the fanbase is unbelievably passionate about the team and even a depth signing like Shore can kick off a firestorm. From there, the guys welcomed Trent Wilhauk from Wilhauk Beef Jerky to the podcast to talk about his passion for jerky as well how it came to be that he is now an owner of the Olds Grizzlys. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with what turned out to be another passionate food talk that waded into the waters of the best road trip snacks as well as where to find the best Slurpees in the city.

Despite being a fake fight, it was incredible to see how much hype was built up around their beef regardless of the fact that it was all theatre made up by the fighters to get the people going. From there, the conversation turned to who we would all want to fight in the local media landscape regardless of whether or not there is any beef there. Next up, the guys spent some time talking about the new recording studio that is scheduled to open later this summer, and whether or not it may make sense to switch up the recording times for the show when everyone is able to get back together again. Lastly, the podcast wrapped up with a little bit of Oilers talk despite Chalmers hating that we're bringing up hockey during the offseason or at any other time really.

From there, Chalmers offered up one of his classic rants about Ryan Reaves getting tossed from game one in the Vegas/Colorado series, and whether or not he knew what was going on during the melee. Next up, the conversation turned to baseball after Baggedmilk decided that he is now a big Jays guy after the Oilers were so rudely swept out of the playoffs. This week, the guys covered Tyler's donair feedback, a potential new segment, NHL documentaries, and a whole lot more. Kicking off the Monday episode of Real Life, the boys got started with a look at the passionate feedback that came in from Tyler's first donair, specifically how he was getting bombarded with hatred over the way he held it and the toppings that were included. Amazingly, donairs weren't the only common food that Tyler hasn't eaten before and may have spawned a new segment where the boys get him to try new foods and activities. Next up, the guys looked at the UFC's weekend after two gruesome injuries came out in back-to-back fights and another round of discussion came up that the fighters are poorly paid. Back to hockey, the guys decided to brainstorm some ideas for potential documentaries that the National Hockey League could look at doing now that they have a new agreement with ESPN. Would it make sense to do a series about the Seattle Kraken? Would it make sense to focus on individual teams throughout the season? Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a look at tonight's matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets for what could potentially be a playoff matchup.

Another Thursday has rolled around on the calendar and that means a fresh episode of the Real Life Podcast is here and ready to get you set for the weekend. On today’s show, the guys looked at Yaremchuk's first donair, the Oilers' series against the Canadiens, and welcomed Scott Hastings from OddsShark to break down the latest NHL news and what’s going on in the world of sports gambling. Kicking off the podcast, the boys jumped in with a look at Tyler Yaremchuk's donair virginity after it was revealed on the radio this morning that he had never eaten a donair before. Shocked by this blasphemy, Jay took it upon himself to have one sent to Tyler's apartment so that he could have his first-ever donair on the show. Changing gears, Jay and Chalmers told the story of how they both got their first dose of the AZ vaccine this past week and how happy they were to finally get the process started after what has seemed like a long wait. Getting back to the Oilers the guys broke down the two-game series against the Canadiens and how it was as close to playoff hockey as we've seen so far. From the physicality in that series to the way both teams were able to create chances in bunches, a playoff series between the Habs and Oilers could be endlessly intense and it was a lot of fun to talk about the possibilities. Finally, the guys wrapped up today’s podcast by welcoming Scott Hastings from OddsShark to help break down the latest betting trends from the NHL, recap the week that was, and offer up details on the latest news from the world of sports.

Welcome to a brand new episode of the Real Life Podcast! On today’s podcast, the guys covered Saturday's huge win, Tyson Barrie's next contract, crib, and a whole lot more. To start off the Monday episode of Real Life, the boys got going with a recap of Saturday's dominant win over the Winnipeg Jets and whether or not that changed anyone's feelings regarding a potential playoff matchup. For everyone on the podcast, that win was one of the most complete outings we've seen all year and the boys worked through why it is that the Oilers seem to own Jets so far this season. From there, the guys discussed Ryan McLeod being recalled from the Bakersfield Condors yesterday and where he may slot into the lineup when given the chance. The guys also spoke about the reactions on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to re-signing Tyson Barrie as he seems to be a very divisive player on the Edmonton Oilers blueline. Changing gears the guys got into the weeds about the game Crib and whether or not there is more to the game than luck of the cards. Lastly, the guys wrapped up this week's podcast by welcoming Gabriel Candido to the podcast as he's started an Oilers fan group in Brazil.
