It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers losing three of four, some recent milestones on the roster, David Tomasek's first NHL goal, line combos, and much more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about Evan Bouchard's rough night against New York, and whether anyone is worried about what was a miserable evening for No. 2. While there's no doubt that Bouchard didn't play well against the Rangers, being too concerned about him this early in the year probably doesn't make sense either. That said, he definitely needs to play better given the minutes he commands, and it will be interesting to see if he faces any supplementary discipline like Darnell Nurse did a couple nights before. Continuing with the breakdown of the last few games for Edmonton, the Oilers blew a two-goal lead against the Rangers on Thursday, which was incredibly disappointing and frustrating given how they had dominated the game early. In the span of just under four minutes, the Oilers went from being up by two goals to being in a tie game. Even with a late power play opportunity, the boys couldn't get the job done. To make matters worse, the comeback didn't happen because the Rangers were shooting the lights out, the loss happened because the Oilers cannot stop making 10-bell mistakes. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week. With the 2025-26 season well underway, the guys spent the bulk of the Friday episode discussing a range of topics, some related to the Oilers and others not, but that's what happens at this stage of a new campaign.SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!Powered by @bet365. Tyler, Liam, Rick and Dan sat down for a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio. The group had some fresh news to talk about as well as on Tuesday, the Oilers acquired Ike Howard from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Sam O'Reilly. They discussed their initial reactions to the deal, where The 2025 Hobey Baker award winner was the top player could fit in the lineup next season, and which centre he could fit best next to. They also talked about the mini youth movement that could be happening next season in Edmonton and what the expectations should be for young players like Howard and Matt Savoie. From there, they talked about whether or not they think Oilers GM Stan Bowman is done for the summer. There are rumblings that they still might be looking to upgrade their goaltending tandem. Nurse himself threw cold water on it, but the guys still talked about the idea that he could be traded at some point. The Oilers clawed back from a 3-0 first-period deficit to win Game 4 in overtime, marking the first comeback of its kind in Stanley Cup Final history. A strong pushback, a timely goalie switch to Calvin Pickard and a spark from veteran Corey Perry’s locker room speech helped shift momentum. Blue-liner Darnell Nurse bounced back with a standout performance, Leon Draisaitl’s greasy OT winner capped the effort and despite continued discipline issues from Evander Kane (and others), Edmonton may hold a slight edge in the now best-of-three series. Meanwhile, the Rangers shake up their core, trading Chris Kreider to Anaheim in a bid to retool.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Tuesday afternoon means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio has been recorded, edited, and is set to massage your ear feelings. On this week's podcast, the guys discussed a potential Darnell Nurse suspension, Monday's loss to the L.A. Kings, and much more. The boys started the Tuesday podcast with a delicious debate about whether Darnell Nurse should and will be suspended after the incident with Quinton Byfield, which resulted in a crosscheck to the head. Depending on how you look at the situation, the NHL has different routes to discipline Darnell Nurse, and the debate revolved around whether or not he will be suspended. As you'll hear, everyone's opinion on the matter was all over the map.Changing gears, we looked back on Monday's loss to the Kings and how Philip Danault felt the Oilers were icing their B-squad and trying to hurt the opposing players. As much as Danault's comments weren't necessarily wrong, it was pretty funny that he didn't acknowledge the very real string of injuries Edmonton is working through. Even with McDavid saying the team isn't the 'walking wounded' this morning after practice, the reality is that the Oilers had nine regulars out of the lineup for Monday's game.Sticking with the game against Los Angeles, we also discussed Quinn Hutson's NHL debut and how it was a cool moment for a young man who signed an ELC only days before suiting up for the Oilers. Despite playing just over 14 minutes in his debut, the guys discussed Hutson's ceiling and whether or not this is a prospect worth following. We also wondered how Hutson ranks among the other prospects the Oilers have signed in the last few weeks, and if these scratch tickets can do enough to bolster the Oilers' thin depth chart. Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with some predictions about where Evander Kane might play when he returns and playoff betting talk before winding down with some game expectations for Wednesday's season finale against the San Jose Sharks. As always, the first episode of Oilersnation Radio of the week is always a fun one to record, and it was exciting to finally be talking about the playoffs after what has been a slog of a regular season.
