It is believed Darshan Arora was given 30ml of blood pressure medication on Monday morning, six times the normal dose. His insulin medication was also reported halved. It sent Arora into renal failure and he now needs dialysis. Family friend Philip Couper told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings the mistake should have been caught. "The drug was chartered, it was chartered by a doctor ... and it was confirmed by another three intensive care nurses last night that the nurse knew it was a mistake but she gave it because it was chartered, she didn't question it," he told Bartlett.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
