Edgin Darvis, ladro e cantastorie si cimenta in un'epica avventura assieme ai compagni di sempre, nel tentativo di recuperare una mitica reliquia, in grado di far resuscitare i morti. Ma i maghi rossi e tradimenti sono in agguato. Non mi aspettavo nulla da questa pellicola, tant'è che l'ho bypassata tranquillamente dalla sala e invece...invece questo nuovo live action ispirato al più famoso gioco di ruolo di sempre, è stata una bellissima sorpresa. Il ritmo scanzonato e divertente, equilibra perfettamente l'aspetto avventuroso della narrazione, nella quale gli effetti speciali sono tanti (e fatti bene), ma senza essere soffocanti. Bravi gli attori e splendido il ritmo dinamico e favolistico, nel quale le scene action non stonano mai e anzi si seguono egregiamente, grazie a un montaggio degno di nota. Michelle Rodriguez sempre stupenda e straripante, in qualunque personaggio si cimenti. La adoro! Recuperatelo, non ve ne pentirete!

O RPG ("Role-playing game", ou em português "jogo de interpretação de personagens") foi uma febre entre os anos 70 e 90, tendo seu auge quando Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) foi criado em 1974 por Gary Gygax e Dave Arneson. O sistema criou uma "fórmula" que ajudava os jogadores a interpretar seus personagens e durante muitos anos, D&D e RPG foram quase sinônimos. Com o sucesso do jogo, surgiram alguns filmes, mas nenhum chegou com tanta força no mercado como o filme de dos diretores e roteiristas John Francis Daley e Jonathan M. Goldstein, que é Dungeons and Dragons: Honra Entre Rebeldes de 2023. Com um orçamento de 150 milhões de dólares, e contando com nomes no elenco como Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis e Hugh Grant, o filme tem conquistado o coração da crítica por sua diversão e ambiente leve. Porém, ainda não emplacou comercialmente, o que coloca em risco a continuidade ou a criação de uma franquia. Hoje, Rafael Arinelli recebeu Rodrigo Basso (Leitor Cabuloso), Nadja Lírio (Experimento 237) e Henrique Rizatto (Geração M) para falar um pouco sobre a importância do filme, mas principalmente para mergulhar na cultura do RPG e no significa que Dungeons and Dragons tem para inúmeros fãs.
