Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt A General Hospital LEAK suggests a thrilling turn of events with expected departures and unexpected funerals. Reliable sources have leaked information about the death of WSB bureau chief Jack Brennan, played by Chris McKenna, which was previously slated for the end of the year but has now been postponed to 2026. The character's death seems imminent as Carly Corinthos, played by Laura Wright, and Valentin Cassadine, played by James Patrick Stuart, have teamed up against him.  The upcoming GH episodes will also address the real-life deaths of actors Denise Alexander and Tristan Rogers. Alexander, who played Leslie Weber, Laura Spencer's mother, passed away in March 2025, and the show is expected to address her character's death by spring 2026. Tristan Rogers, known for his role as Robert Scorpio, passed away in August 2025 after a battle with lung cancer. His character's death will also be addressed in the spring of 2026.  More General Hospital also rumors hint of a possible exit of a female character. However, the details remain unclear and it is uncertain if this means a death, recasting, or simply a departure from the storyline. Fans eagerly await the return of the Nurse's Ball event in May 2026. The show will also pay tribute to Anthony Geary, who played Luke Spencer, by airing a rerun of his last episode on New Year's Day.  This episode was hosted by Belynda Gates-Turner for Soap Dirt. "Send us a message! (questions, feedback, etc.)"The scariest thing about kids and tech isn't just what they can find—it's what can find them. Greg & Bobby sat down with Chris McKenna, founder of Protect Young Eyes and president of Better Tech, to map a practical path through the chaos: clear relational scripts, layered technical guardrails, and a mindset that trades “set it and forget it” for steady, confident presence.Chris breaks the work into two buckets—relational and technical—and shows how the ratio shifts as kids grow. For little ones, lock down devices and avoid exposure; for teens, double down on agency and honest talk. We explore the five habits of a tech-ready home (you'll want to get to know these). Chris outlines layered protection—router, device, location, and app—and explains why your router is the most important device you own. If your teen already has social media, you'll get “ridiculously direct” scripts for sextortion-proofing and an approach that invites confession without shame. We also touch on policy and the broader movement: how Better Tech equips classrooms and pushes for laws that protect kids and hold platforms accountable. You don't need a computer science degree to lead your family well—you need small, consistent actions and language your kids can remember when it matters.#chrismckenna #protectyoungeyes #bettertech #delayistheway #families #parenting #childhoodtrauma #adolescenttrauma #digitalresponsibility #gospel #grace #awaken #awakenrecovery #awakenpodcast #whatwereallywant #wwrw #recovery #connection #conversationProtectYoungEyes.comThe Better Tech Project Support the showAwaken websiteRoots Retreat Men's IntensiveRoots Retreat Women's WorkshopAwaken Men & Women's support meeting info (including virtual)

Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt General Hospital spoilers reveal fan-favorite Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is on the run from the PCPD and the WSB. Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) is harboring him in her she shed, ready to sabotage Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna). As tensions rise, a brutal showdown between Valentin and Jack seems imminent, with Carly in the middle as the grand prize.  GH spoilers suggest that Valentin's unexpected arrival at Carly's house, bloody and battered, frightened her. Despite her reservations, Carly agrees to hide him, remembering her similar action with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in the past. Valentin's unexpected presence becomes more complicated when Carly's daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), arrives to keep an eye on her mother. This forces Carly to hide Valentin in the shed, hoping to keep him out of Josslyn's sight.  Spoilers for General Hospital allude that as Valentin and Jack inch closer to a face-to-face confrontation, the stakes are high. Jack, who has been lying and double dealing with Carly for a long time, is likely to feel betrayed when he discovers Carly's alliance with Valentin. This betrayal might even lead to an intense battle that could leave one of them dead.  More GH spoilers suggest that given the fan base's love for Valentin, it seems more likely that Jack may not survive. A reliable source previously suggested that actor Chris McKenna might be leaving General Hospital, potentially due to his character's death. This sets the stage for an epic showdown where Carly might even kill Jack to save Valentin's life, solidifying their budding relationship.  Soap Dirt has grown to the most subscribed to YouTube soap opera channel. This month I am doing a series on a series on Parenting in the Digital Age and Taking Steps to Protect Our Kids from Porn. This is the second part of my two-part interview with Chris McKenna. Chris is the founder of the amazing organization Protect Young Eyes.  In this episode we are talking about an idea that Chris often shares with parents: delay is the way! Here is some more of our conversation: *No parent ever says “I've failed as a parent because I gave my kid snapchat too late.” *Chris shares this quote from Dr. Mitchell Princstein, chief science officer of the American Psychological Association, “there are no findings showing harm to children who stay off of social media, in fact, some emerging evidence suggests that the most socially competent kids are refraining from using these platforms.” *Chris suggests waiting until high school for a smart phone. *I suggest waiting until after high school for social media. *“May we raise kids who don't have to recover from their childhood.” Pam Leo *Chris shares tips for parenting in the digital age with our littles, middles and teens. *For littles: Get a router that will help prevent early accidental exposure. The router is your guard! Use it! Everything you need to know about routers from Chis found here. *For middles: Build that relational connection Have conversations that assure them no matter what happens they can land softly and safely with you!  *Use parental control software on all devices (learn more about those here)  *Give them a plan for what to do if they see pornography or other problematic things in the digital space. More on that in episode 8! *For teens: Keep talking! Almost annoy your kids with the frequency of these convos! Where to find more help from Chris? Website here  Don't forget to subscribe to this podcast and I'd be so very grateful if you leave a 5 star rating of the podcast and write a quick review.  Reviews are incredibly helpful to me as a new podcaster. Thank you for listening and being part of my team.  I love you guys! Greta

I kick of the series with a two-part interview with one of my personal heroes, Chris McKenna. Chris is the founder of the amazing organization Protect Young Eyes, whose mission is to show families, schools, and churches how to create safe digital spaces.  In this episode, Chris and I talk about: *the quiet that is missing from the lives of children today.   *the need to parent with empathy and compassion. *that it's tough to raise kids right now, and it's hard to be a kid right now. *our kids need to know we are on their team in this digital journey.  *where digital trust is high, digital friction is low. *we need to stay calm when we're talking to our kid about porn  *we need to stay calm when we're talking to them after they've seen porn. *we need to respond like Jesus, with grace and truth. (John 1:7) *the truth that porn is bad for them and that we must protect them and the grace for their mistake. *a child needs to know 2 things after he's made a mistake: am I going to be OK and are you still OK with me? *parents have to do their own work in preparation for these moments. This is part of parenting in the digital age. *read the blog post where I talk to my daughter about the inappropriate half time show here. Be sure to come back for part two next week!  Don't forget to like and subscribe to this podcast, and I'd be so very grateful if you leave a review of the podcast on iTunes.  Reviews are incredibly helpful to me as a new podcaster. Thank you for listening and being part of my team.  I love you guys! Greta

On this episode of Shaping Success with Wes Tankersley, Wes talks with musician Lance Ayers on his journey as a musician and his influences.Lance's musical journey started at 4 ½ years old when he told his mother he wanted to do what the Young Performers did on TV. He happened to live across the street from a piano store, and his mother arranged for him to get piano lessons.  He continued with the piano through high school while immersing himself in the different cultures of the students and different music genres. He hung out with the band geeks and learned to play all kinds of instruments. His biggest influence was his older brother who introduced him to all the greats in music such as Prince, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones.  Prince was by far the one artist that influenced Lance the most. He was fascinated by how Prince played his own instruments, mixed, and produced his own works. He admired how Prince didn't pay attention to the critics. Before his mom passed away, Lance said he was a kid that wrote songs about happy things. After his Mom died, he was angry, and it reflected in his music and lyrics. At the time of his Mom's death, Lance was in a band named Odium Nation. He sang, played the instruments, and did the arranging when recording. Record deals were coming in, and he delegated to his other band mates who refused to cooperate. Per the Illinois version of the Uniform Partnership Act, if a person is present at the inception of a band, and no contract was signed, they have a say and get a cut of the profits. Based on that, Lance decided to leave the band and form his own.Per his entertainment lawyer, since he's the one who wrote the songs, and Odium nation didn't use his songs after he left, he re released his songs under his new band The Circle View.  He found a guitar player Tom Howell, base player Chris McKenna, and Justin Shields on keyboard. Lance says he could do this solo, but he loves the idea of collaboration with other people bouncing ideas off one another.  The band has toured the US and Africa. The reception of the band has been positive, and he's excited to continue to grow the band. Follow Lance:Website: https://www.thecircleview.com Email: thecircleview@gmail.comYouTube: https://youtube.com/thecircleview TikTok: https://tiktok.com/thecircleview              Https://tiktok.com/lanceayers Instagram: https://instagram.com/thecircleview Twitter:  https://twitter.com/thecircleview Stream The Circle View on all streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.Follow Wes:Website: https://www.westankersley.com Email: wes@westankersley.comPatreon: https://Patreon.com/WesTankersley LinkedIn: https://LinkedIn.com/westankersley Facebook: https://facebook.com/westankersley                  Https://Facebook.com/successwarriorcrew Instagram; https://instagram.com/wes.tankersley Tik Tok: https://TikTok.com/wes.tankersley               Https://TikTok.com/shapingsuccess Twitter:  https://twitter.com/tankersley_wesSupport the showFor merchandise, podcast and youtube: westankersley.com Check out our sponsor The Warriors Collection for coffee, gear and more use code TANK at check out for a special Discount! https://warriorscollectionbrand.com/ Follow Shaping Success https://shapingsuccesspodcast.buzzsprout.com/ Email Wes@westankersley.com for guest ideas or to be on the show!

Welcome to the Love Where You Are podcast!  I am joined with Chris McKenna. Chris is the founder of Protect Young Eyes. Protect Young Eyes is a nonprofit that goes around the country educating schools, churches, and other nonprofits on the dangers of the digital age's impact on children. They are also a movement, aiming to empower parents that “delay is the way” and schools should be phone free zones.  Growing up was already difficult but adding social media on top of it, and it is no surprise our teens are battling insecurity, anxiety, depression, confusion, and addictions. As parents, we have to approach these delicate situations with empathy and curiosity, not criticism. It is not us versus them, it is us helping build and lift them up. Chris and I talk about ways we can do that and its never too late to get started.  Thank you for being here today. Now, let's dive into the conversation!  You can connect with Chris and Protect Your Eyes through Instagram and their website.     FAVORITE TAKE-AWAYS:  *We want to train our kids to be thinkers, not followers. On social media, it's a lot of following and keeping up with the trends.  *We can try to censor the world as much as possible for our kids but it won't make a difference if they can't become filters themselves. Once they are out of our protective care, how will they protect themselves? We have to teach them why it is so important and give them the tools to do it.  *Best time to plant a tree was ten years ago. The second best time is this afternoon. If you feel like you're too late, you aren't. There is still hope and you can still take charge of your household and protect your child.  REMEMBER: *There is a difference between reacting and responding. As parents, we need to respond not react. *The teenage years of development have high levels of social sensitivity. These are also critical years for brain development that leads into their adulthood.  *We should be building bridges of trust with our kids and not shy away from the awkward conversations.    Connect with Somer!  Stay connected to Somer and the Love Where You Are podcast through her Facebook & Instagram!
