TORA er klar for Kristiansund Høydepunktene står i kø for Tora Dahle Aagård: Tross sin relativt unge alder (27 år) har hun allerede stått på scenen i Londons egen storstue Royal Albert Hall under The Norwegian Blues Adventure sammen med blant andre Knut Reiersrud, Vidar Busk og Amund Maarud. I oktober 2020 delte hun hovedscenen under verdens største virtuelle gitarfestival Guitar.com LIVE med legender som Joe Bonamassa, Carlos Santana, St Vincent og John McLaughlin. I tillegg har hun spilt med både Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson) og Paul Gilbert (Mr Big), og vært gjestegitarist under Trygve Skaugs Norgesturné. Tora mottok i januar Adresseavisens Musikkstipend for 2021. TORA spilte under årets Moldejazz, som skrev følgende om bandet: «Det spraker av energisk girl power, rocka virtuositet, lekenhet og kruttsterk spilleglede når Tora og bandet står på scenen». Tora er ut på en landsdekkende juleturné med Adam Douglas, men først er det duket for årets siste konsert med TORA i Kristiansund på Kulturfabrikken i kveld fredag 3. desember. Superstjerner innen strupesang er i Norge. Hva er det som gjør at folk går mann av huse for å se den russisk-mongolske strupesangkvartetten Huun Huur Tu? Med musiker og fan Knut Reiersrud, radiodokumentarist Guri Skeie som har laget dokumentar om strupesang og Bjørn Tomren, VM-deltager i strupesang.

Knut Reiersrud trenger ingen videre introduksjon. Som en av landets mest kjente gitarister har han smykket flere hundre plater med artister fra hele verden med sin særegne stil, og har siden tidlig 80-tall levd av å spilt gitar. Vi får høre hvordan Knuts vei har blitt til fra han så et klipp med Buddy Guy på NRK som 12-åring og tok timer for å lære ragtime-gitar, via en famøs tur til Chicago - til kirkekonserter og samarbeid i Midtøsten og Vest-Afrika. Arrangement 22.11.2016 Dei særprega og vakre mellomalderballadane ber med seg dramatiske historier om alt frå død, valdtekt og blodhemn til vakker kjærleik og erotisk humor, frå religiøse visjonar og historiske hendingar til havfruer og snakkande dyr. Utstillinga «Piri mitt mitt parian» (22.11.–14.1.) trekkjer fram tre sentrale balladar – «Draumkvedet», «Villemann og Magnhild» og «Tordivelen og flua». Kva kan dei fortelje oss om korleis vi har levd før i tida, og kva vi har vore opptekne av? Prof.em. Olav Solberg er balladeforskar og har vore knytt til balladeprosjektet. Saman med kvedar Øyonn Groven Myhren, stortingspresident og kulturpolitikar Olemic Thommesen og musikar Knut Reiersrud samtalar han med redaktør i Bokmagasinet Karin Haugen om mellomalderballadar og arven dei ber med seg. Arrangementet er del av Nasjonalbiblioteket si lansering av tolv bind med mellomalderballadar: «Kråkevisa», «Bendik og Årolilja», «Per spelemann» og hundrevis av andre typar mellomalderballadar har bergteke og mora oss i fleire hundreår, og har etter kvart blitt ein viktig del av den norske kulturarven. Sidan folkeminnesamlarar byrja å skrive ned desse visene på midten av 1800-talet, har det vore arbeidd med å publisere balladane i ei vitskapleg utgåve. No har Nasjonalbiblioteket gjort ferdig det store arbeidet og lanserer denne hausten dei siste av tolv verk med melodiar, tekstar, songar- og samlarbiografiar og innleiingar om dei ulike balladetypane.
