Välkomna in! Outsiders – S/T [LP, 2022] Låt: Valium (I Wanna Be Sedated) Ramones på äkta göteborgska! Bubs – Vinden ger svar / Midnight Special [7″, 1973] Låt: Vinden ger svar (Bob Dylan – Blowin’ in the Wind) Bob Dylans Blowin’ in the Wind blir Vinden ger svar på svenska, här i en oförglömlig version av Bubs, vinnarna i Södertälje Barnens Dags talangjakt 1973. Otrolig. Östen Warnerbring – S/T [LP, 1966] Låt: Yeah Yeah (Georgie Fame – Yeh Yeh) Yeah Yeah! Alf Robertson – Polarnas platta! [7″, 1979] Låt: Polarna, ett härligt lag (Kris Kristofferson – Me and Bobby McGee) Under Alf Robertsons wilderness years hände det att han gjorde peppiga låtöversättningar till svenska idrottsföreningar. Här förvandlas Kris Kristoffersons Me and Bobby McGee till ångermanländsk hockey-country. Respekt. Samuelsons – Vilken dag! [LP, 1978] Låt: Det är Jesus (Bonnie Tyler – It’s a Heartache) Bonnie Tylers världshit It’s a Heartache blir i frikyrklig svensk skrud Det är Jesus. Magnus – Brustanta (Dom bästa bitarna 2) [LP, 1977] Låt: Har vi glömt (Jimmy Cliff – You Can Get it If You Really Want) Magnus Orkester drabbades också av reggaefeber 1977. Här har de inspirerats av filmen The Harder They Come och försvenskar salig Jimmy Cliffs You Can Get it If You Really Want, som på svenska blir Har vi glömt. Carl-Henrik Norins Orkester – Carl-Henrik Bossa Novar! [7″, 1962] Låt: Liksom i min bossa nova (Antonio Carlos Jobim – One Note Samba) Sensationell försvenskning av Antonio Carlos Jobim-skapelsen One Note Samba av Carl-Henrik Norin med orkester. Årets fynd? Mira Ray – Sanndrömar [LP, 2025] Låt: Kontakt (Brigitte Bardot – Contact) Ytterligare en busfärsk och otippad försvenskning – Mira Ray sätter svensk text på Brigitte Bardots Contact, skriven av (vem annars?) Serge Gainsbourg. Kon-TAKT! Sky High – Säj nej … till kärnkraft / Säj ja … till livet [7″, 1980] Låt: Säg nej … till kärnkraft (Earl King – Come On (Let The Good Times Roll)) Earl Kings Come On (Let the Good Times Roll) plockades upp av Jimi Hendrix och långt senare förvandlades den till svenskspråkig anti-kärnkraft-rökare av Claes Yngström och Sky High. Gitarrstärkaren är farligt nära härdsmälta. Mia Alasjö – The Old River / Förlåt mig min vän [7″, 1978] Låt: Förlåt mig min vän (The Searchers – Needles and Pins) The Searchers (och många andras) klassiker Needles and Pins i svensk version av Mia Alasjö och Staffan Runius: Förlåt mig min vän. Ttevligt släpp på legendariska etiketten Efel. Dan Hylander & Raj Montana Band – … Om änglar o sjakaler [LP, 1984] Låt: Fjärran står hjulen stilla (Beatles – Across the Universe) Dan Hylander och Raj Montana Band under deras imperial phase. The Beatles Across the Universe, försvenskad till Fjärran står hjulen stilla. Latvian duo Taran & Lomov present 'Semper Supra' – their debut LP on their own label Amber Muse; a refined and accomplish long player that showcases the tip of an iceberg patiently built across two dedicated and long-spanning careers in the music industry. Together, the pair have managed to earn the coveted stripes of 'jack of many, master of many' across a fruitful and symbiotic 20 years. They've turned their hands to promotion, production, remixing, radio hosting, music journalism and DJing. At this point, they have a gilded resume that includes support for their releases from the likes of Jane Fitz and Laurent Garnier, releases on W&O Street Tracks, Josh Wink's Ovum Recordings and Dense & Pika's Kneaded Pains as Queer On Acid and of course – their basecamp – the Amber Muse Radio show. Musically, 'Semper Supra' is a genre-flexing trip with its roots in early 2000s Minimal and late 90s Electronica. 9 tracks bearing flecks of influence from labels like Time Passages, Perlon and Warp as well as artists such as Black Dog, Metamatics, Binh and Jan Jelenik meld in a head-twisting brew - one that caters to listeners on any point in the spectrum between after-hours raver to armchair astronaut. The glue in the record is the subtly haunting energy omitted by the synths, sweeps and atmospherics that course through the album. The spectral glow these conjure hangs gently over a variety of bpms and intensities, keepings things suffused in a dubby fog that gives a living, breathing sense of space and atmosphere. Case and point being 'Nano Crab' - a patient, frosty recording that stacks energy in subtly folding layers of mangled, otherworldly signals and primal rhythms. 'Slow East' follows up with a skeletal Electro track that oozes with an ominous mood often clocked in Nicolas Lutz's extended sets. The warped robotics and cold sonics of 'Slickers' are given life and mobility via groove and clever sequencing while 'Corp' whips up into a more frenzied zone. Alarm tones burnt and bit crushed while drums move with the sort of urgency required for boiling point dance floors before the title track provides an allaying landing pad as it scatters pin-prick melodies across a wide, icy soundscape. ambermuse.com/taran-lomov-bio facebook.com/TaranLomov ra.co/dj/taranlomov soundcloud.com/ambermuse facebook.com/AmberMuseRec instagram.com/ambermuserec

In this bonus solo episode, Wil shares four key lessons he's learned about entrepreneurial success: the importance of persisting longer than others, the value of always learning and trying to master the craft, the victory found in detailed preparation, and the idea of suffering in the details for greater success. He encourages listeners to apply these ideas, not just in business but across all areas of life, believing it can make the journey feel less exhausting. To demonstrate the points, he uses examples from both his own personal journey and those from industry experts, emphasizing that adopting these practices can set you ahead of the competition. ——– Thank you for tuning into our podcast! Wil Slickers, a former Marriott employee, has turned into a short-term rental guru (and our podcast producer). He began his journey by utilizing his parents' 2 bed 2 bath apartment above their garage as his first rental property. Through his experience working at Marriott, Wil established a baseline for what makes a good guest experience. He discovered that by using smart locks, he could replace the need for someone to work at a front desk. Wil believes that turning normal homes into destinations is a sweet spot for Airbnb. He encourages others to get creative and have fun with their rentals. Wil emphasizes the importance of understanding why technology is necessary, but it should also not replace people for everything. He recommends hiring someone to interact with guests on a personal level and focusing on revenue management. Wil notes that not all properties will be successful as short-term rentals, so it's important to use yield management for pricing strategy. ~~~~ Signup for MarketMinder for FREE

In this episode of the Guest Case, hospitality expert and influencer Will Slicker talks to Tyann and Andy about his extensive experiences staying in hotels and short-term rentals. Touching on how he feels that the hotel guest experience is dwindling, Will, Andy, and Tyann discuss what short-term rental operators can do to help keep the guest experience alive - not just during the more challenging times of covid, but on an ongoing basis. Listen in as they discuss everything from the importance of branding and how well your photos represent your accommodation, to the importance of health and safety - and how the latter of that list often receives less focus than it should. This is a replay of the LIVE show titled, 'It's My Friday!' with Scott Stanfield streaming on Linkedin & Facebook @ScottRStanfield Wil & Scott discuss what it was like for Wil to be called up to serve in the Reserves during Covid, what hospitality looks like moving forward and his podcast Slick Talk: The Hospitality Podcast. Scott was a guest on Wil's podcast for 3 episodes on April 3, 10 & 17, 2019. Click here it listen. Wil Slickers on How the Good Morning Hospitality LIVE show came about: GoodMorningHospitality.com Wil Slickers, host of Slick Talk: The Hospitality Podcast, has joined forces with modern noise monitoring company NoiseAware and membership-based zero commission hotel booking platform Bidroom to launch a new hospitality morning show, Good Morning Hospitality, which will go out live every Monday morning in the United States. At a time when many businesses have closed down or risen during the last seven months with Covid-19, Slickers, the host of Slick Talk: The Hospitality Podcast, is determined to create with new “game changers” in the hospitality space by joining forces with NoiseAware and Bidroom to create a new hospitality morning show which will go live every Monday morning. WHAT DO WE DO? Unlike the regular Slick Talk: The Hospitality Podcast program, in which industry expert and creator of the inaugural Destinationaire Award, Wil Slickers, interviews some of the biggest names in the vacation rental, hotel and restaurant industries, Slickers and his new co-hosts, Michael Goldin, director of business development at NoiseAware, and Michael Ros, CEO of Bidroom, formed Good Morning Hospitality to be a new way for hospitality professionals in all segments to engage, stay informed, and even be featured on the show as they go live on all platforms at the start of each working week. Slickers said: “I love running Slick Talk: The Hospitality Podcast and nothing will stop that. It's become very popular and I am publishing more episodes than ever to keep up with the demand. “After I did an episode with Michael Goldin, he and I both recognized we had a lot more fun than expected and started thinking of ways we could do something like that more often. Once the name came to life, we realized we were really on to something cool and exciting! “We wanted to get a third co-host on the show who wasn't in short-term rentals and could bring a cool dynamic to the show,” he added. Goldin said: “Wil and I had a lot of fun together and “talking shop” on his podcast and I was definitely excited to find ways to keep doing this! I am a big fan of Monday mornings, so the concept for Good Morning Hospitality was even more exciting as I knew it would be something new and exciting for both short-term rentals and hotels.” Ros from Bidroom recently recorded a podcast episode with Slickers and will bring something new to the table when it comes to hotels and how people book them. The history of Jamaica's music is a fascinating one, and seldom has a nation's pop music been so celebratory, political, and concerned with civil rights, all rolled into an upside-down one-drop rhythm that is as recognizable as it is pervasive. Part mento, part African drums, part American jazz, soul, and R&B, part a Marcus Garvey-derived treatise on human rights and repatriation, Jamaica's reggae is pop music with clear revolutionary goals, intent on dancing in the face of Babylon while forthrightly chanting it down. This Is Reggae Music hits most of the historical high points, including Jamaica's entry into the international pop market with early hits like Millie Small's "My Boy Lollipop" (arranged by the venerable Ernest Ranglin) and Desmond Dekker's "Israelites," following these up with key tracks from Jimmy Cliff's The Harder They Come soundtrack (including Cliff's own "Many Rivers to Cross," the Maytals' "Pressure Drop," the Melodians' "Rivers of Babylon," and the Slickers' immortal "Johnny Too Bad" and some early reggae gems like Marley's "Duppy Conqueror" (produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry), the Heptones' "Hypocrite," and Cliff's "Vietnam." The final disc finds reggae poised to take over the world (on the wings of one Bob Marley), and includes essential tracks like Delroy Wilson's "Better Must Come," Zap Pow's bit of reggae-meets-Stax, "This Is Reggae Music," Slim Smith's stunningly beautiful "The Time Has Come," and the concluding song, the classic Jack Ruby-produced "Marcus Garvey" by Burning Spear.www.crsradio.com www.caribbeanradio.com
