Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris have become a force not just in women's soccer, but in the push for the inclusion of women and LGBT people across sports. Having come out publicly in 2019, the two wives now have two kids, two dogs and continue to compete at the highest levels of women's soccer. They talk with us this week about their recent endorsement of Align Woman's Dual Action Probiotic, and how the idea of them being publicly out and embraced by brands like Align just a few years ago seemed impossible. Plus they talk about how exactly they manage those two careers, two kids and two dogs. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

We discuss the USWNT games against South Africa and New Zealand, celebrate Ali Krieger's 100th cap, and wonder what the team has to tweak in order to win the world cup (spoiler: a lot). We're still waiting in breathless anticipation of the 23 player World Cup roster, but in the meantime, we highlight USWNT player performances over the first week of the NWSL. Plus, we finally answer listener mail, discuss how the USMNT are annoyed they're playing on grass OVER turf in the Gold Cup, and reluctantly profile goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher (and we come to some surprising conclusions about her). On this week's episode Allyson and Madalyn analyze the USWNT's recent games against Australia and Belgium. They praise the forwards, bemoan the defense, and wonder what will happen to Ali Krieger when the 23-woman roster for the World Cup is announced soon. Plus, Carli Lloyd is featured after her startlingly unselfish and powerful performance against Belgium.
Apparently, if, like Beetlejuice, you say Ali Krieger's name enough times, Jill Ellis will put her on the USWNT. Allyson and Madalyn discuss Krieger and Harris's engagement, Krieger's interestingly timed call-up after a two year draught, as well as the idiocy of the USMNT's response to the women's lawsuit. Plus, we spotlight Lindsay Horan. Follow us on Twitter @scorepod or shoot us an email at settlethescorepodcast@gmail.com
