On this episode, we are joined by Jessica Williams. Jessica is the author of the award-winning Dachshund educational blog, YouDidWhatWithYourWeiner.com. She's been traveling, hiking, and camping with her dogs for over 20 years. She's taken her dogs on many extended road trips, covering up to 5,000 miles, and she's flown with them many times. Her two biggest dog-focused travel aspirations are living in Switzerland for a month to hike in the Alps and spending a year road-tripping around the US with her dogs to hike and camp. You can follow Jessica on Instagram @youdidwhatwithyourweiner, Facebook, or YouTube. Episode Highlights: Most airlines have pet policies that you should review before booking To travel in the cabin, the pet needs to fit in a carrier that goes under the seat The weight limit is generally 20-25 lbs (although Spirit is higher) You need to call the airline in advance to let them know you are bringing a dog on board as there is a limit to how many can go onboard You don't need to pay for a ticket but you do need to pay a pet fee (typically around $150 each way) According to the FAA, unless you have a true service pet, the pet must stay in the carrier for the duration of the flight Some flight attendants look the other way and you can take the carrier out from under the seat so the pet can see you but technically you can't even unzip the carrier Your pet carrier counts as your personal item so it helps to have a carrier with side pockets for things you need on the plane Aisle seats don't have as much space under the seat in front of you for a carrier. The middle seat has the most space In the airport, the dogs don't always want to use the pet relief area because it smells and is unusual In the airport, dogs should be in carriers but not many people are policing that because service dogs are allowed to be out To go through security, they come out of the carrier and you can walk through the metal detector but you need to take off the collar so they need to behave to not run away and walk through if they are too big to carry Bring along a small water dish, water, and a few treats Jessica recommends layering a potty pad in the bottom of the carrier under a blanket so it is easier to clean if there is an accident Otherwise, you need to potty pad train them before travel Don't feed them right before a flight. Usually, the last meal should be 2-3 hours before travel To find pet-friendly hotels, use bringfido.com Hotels usually have a pet fee, which is typically around $20 per dog per night, but it can also be extremely high Red Roof, Motel 6, Kimpton, and Virgin Hotels generally are pet-friendly without a pet fee but they are franchises and still can charge a fee There is usually a limit of two dogs per room and a combined weight limit of about 150 lbs. Some boutique hotels allow you to bring more than two dogs For international travel, you can get a pet passport for EU countries For Canada, you can drive across the border with your pets The United States changed requirements for dogs coming into the country (even by car) that dogs need to be at least 6 months old, they have to have internationally recognized microchips, and have vaccinations up to date particularly a recent rabies vaccine and health paperwork You need to fill out a CDC import form Some destinations have strict quarantine rules (especially Hawaii and other islands) of 10-30 days Visit AdventuresCats.org to learn more about traveling with cats. Note that many hotels don't allow cats. Tamara recommends TrustedHousesitters.com for free pet and house sitting from vetted sitters. Use her referral link for 25% off a membership!

I love the Apple TV show "Shrinking". But take a look at the characters - Harrison Ford has a terrible chin scar with a mole or "dog ear" at the end. Jason Segal has an unattractive mole on his right marionette line. Jessica Williams has an ugly mole on her left upper lip, Lukita Maxwell as a large mole on her right cheek, Brett Goldstein has a huge mole on his left neck, and Kenajuan Bentley has a group of skin tags and keratoses on his right cheek! What is going on here? There's nothing attractive about moles. Can someone let the cast know that I can remove those unsightly things in less than an hour! On this show, we discuss mole removal, Tune in!

The original "Road House," released in 1989 and starring Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliott, was loud, dumb, and incredibly fun. This new "reimagining" of "Road House," released in 2024 and starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor, is loud and dumb. Two outta three ain't bad! Right? Right!? Let's talk about the script, the performances, the effects, and also maybe a few good things about this new Amazon product. Oh boy... KEY TOPICS - Intro / TESTOSTERONE 00:48 - What Ev thought What Keith thought Jake Gyllenhaal is good! This movie is all FUN and ENERGY and sometimes that's OK Comparisons to the original "Road House" This film would have been better experienced in a theater Worst script ever? With examples Conor McGregor's performance is... a choice, and Jessica Williams' performance is... bad There is absolutely ZERO character development in this film Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/1UluPXcyOXnBgEKDt3mt8A Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYL66KUri9pos_E9LmvTuYA

Starring Jake Gylenhaal, Conor McGregor, Jessica Williams, and Daniela Melchior. The Cocktail: 2oz pineapple rum 2oz orange juice Lemon 1oz tamarind shrub Topped with 1oz dark rum

We're on the road (house) again with the remake! Swapping the Kansas City suburbs for the Florida Keys, this Amazon MGM release - exclusively on the Prime Video streaming platform - trades Patrick Swayze for Jake Gyllenhaal as the man named Dalton who gets hired to clean up a rowdy bar. Produced once again by Joel Silver, this time around The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman is behind the camera, while Daniela Melchoir, Jessica Williams, Billy Magnussen, and Conor McGregor round out the cast. Amazon claims the remake has been seen by over 50 million worldwide viewers on the service over its first two weekends, making it the studio's “most-watched produced film debut ever on a worldwide basis.” But is this Road House a tired retread or does it hold the keys to a new franchise? This week on Fabulous Film & Friends we're leaping head first into the bone-cracking, tooth-spitting, throat-ripping and monster-trucking action of the Road House movies! Both of them! That's the original 1989 version directed by Rowdy Herrington and starring Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliot, Kelly Lynch, Ben Gazzara, Kevin Tighe, Marshall Teague, Julie Michaels, Red West, Kathleen Wilhoite and blink and you'll miss him, Keith David. As compared to the 2024 remake directed by Doug Liman and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor McGregor, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Post Malone, Arturo Castro & Joaquim de Almeida. My tougher n' leather crew today is made up of Roseanne Caputi, George Young, David Johnson DMD and although we had to beg him back, the bruiser himself, Gordon Alex Robertson! Before we bite into all that throat-ripping goodness, the synopses: Road House ‘89 is an epic tale of real estate fraud, malfeasance, racketeering and monster truck mayhem when zen, philosophizing Big City club bouncer Dalton is hired by Missouri bar owner Frank Tilgheman to clean up his honky tonk club The Double Deuce. Getting top dollar of 5k a week, Dalton packs up and moves to the town of Jasper to get things moving. After beating up a few goons and cutting the pork out of the Double D, Dalton runs afoul of a local business tycoon, the most Italian looking Brad Wesley you've ever seen. Wesley wants the Double Deuce for his own purposes and he also wants Dalton's new girlfriend, the beautiful and brainy Dr. Elizabeth “Doc” Clay as his own. So Wesley's plan: KILL DALTON! Dalton enlists the aid of his friend and mentor Wade Garrett to help in the ensuing ruckus, but Garrett's skills are no match for Wesley's evil. Wesley kills Wade in doing so unleashes the raging raw brute force of a one man army that is…DALTON! Road House 24' basically follows the same plot as the original except it moves the locale to Florida and makes Dalton an ex-MMA star and gives him the first name Elwood. And speed boats take the place of Monster Trucks. And that's about it. Who wins the smackdown? For this week's main podcast review, I am joined by Josh Parham, Dan Bayer, Giovanni Lago & Brendan Hodges. Today, we are reviewing the latest film from director Doug Liman, "Road House," starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Joaquim de Almeida, Austin Post & Conor McGregor. A reimagining of the cult classic 1989 film starring Patrick Swayze, this violent, hyper-masculine adrenaline rush of an action film changes the location and introduces new techniques to its fight scenes to update the story for a modern audience, but what did we think of it? Tune in as we discuss the action, comedy, performances, writing, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review (you can watch the movie now on Prime Video). Thank you for listening, and enjoy! Jessica C. Williams is the founder of Warrior Women in Christ, LLC. She is a wife to Brian, a mother to four beautiful children, a podcaster, a best-selling author, and an ordained minister! Jessica was born and raised in Detroit, MI, and later, with her husband and children, took a leap of faith and moved to South Carolina. She has a heart and passion for helping women. She is a Christian who loves encouraging, motivating, praying, and assisting others to use their voice for a greater purpose! As an overcomer of many past traumas, from others and self-inflicted, Jessica learned how to heal from her past wounds through Christ Jesus and the power of story. It's in this part of her journey that she began to redefine her life's narrative as her healing was no longer just her own but for her children, for those that are still holding on to brokenness, unforgiveness, shame, toxic relationships, addictions, lack of faith, fear, and rejection. Her "Yes" to Jesus meant dying to her old self, embracing pure love, forgiveness, joy, hope, peace, grace, and mercy through God. It meant facing her own truth, including the good, bad, and ugly. It meant no longer living in silence, boldly sharing the gospel of Christ Jesus, and using her God-given gifts and talents for His kingdom. God has Renewed Jessica, and her prayer is that he will do the same for many others. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/givinghopeministries/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/givinghopeministries/support

Four years ago, the release of this film marked the directorial debut of Olivia Wilde who up until this time had mostly been well-known as an actress. And she really does make quite a memorable debut with this raunchy "One Crazy Night" comedy about two soon-to-be-high-school graduates (Kaitlyn Dever, Beanie Feldstein) who are the smartest students in their class and the best of friends. As one of them just found out that they are not the only graduates in their class who are going on to bigger and better things, they decide to spend this one last night before graduation to show that they can also have "fun" with the best of them. And what results is a night of parties, drugs, homicidal cabbies, fancy yachts, and various other hijinks! Also along for the ride are co-stars Jessica Williams, Mason Gooding, Diana Silvers, Molly Gordon, and Billie Lourd.Host: Geoff Gershon Special Guest Co-Host: Isabelle Gershon Editors: Geoff and Ella GershonProducer: Marlene Gershonhttps://livingforthecinema.com/Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/Living-for-the-Cinema-Podcast-101167838847578Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/livingforthecinema/Letterboxd:https://letterboxd.com/Living4Cinema/

The Apple TV comedy Shrinking boasts a lot of big names in its cast, including Harrison Ford, Jason Segel, and Jessica Williams, all of whom play therapists. The series shares some of its creators with Ted Lasso. It has a big heart and a lot of jokes, even if you absolutely, definitely would not want your therapist to take any cues from it.
