Jeremiah Johnson Prophecies Debunked! With JonMark Baker of the Minor Prophets Podcast

In this episode of Remnant Radio, we debunk the“prophetic words” from Jeremiah Johnson. Joined by guest co-host JonMark Baker with the Minor Prophets Podcast and Michael Miller, we clarify up front that this is not a cessationist critique—everyone on the panel affirms and practices continuationist gifts, including prophecy. Our aim is to model biblical “testing and weighing” (1 Cor. 14:29; 1 Thess. 5:19–22) for the health of the church. We walk through multiple clips from Johnson's “2025” prophecy, assessing whether the claims are genuinely prophetic, testable, and rooted in sound exegesis—or whether they function as “words of obvious,” built from current events and broadly plausible predictions. We also address methodological red flags, including numerology-style reasoning, vague claims that cannot be meaningfully verified, and the way certain segments appear to preempt criticism by framing accusations as “Leviathan” twisting words. Along the way, we discuss the importance of judging not only the content of a prophetic word but also the prophet's credibility and fruit, especially when public prophecy has a track record of harm, manipulation, or failed predictions. How to Test Prophecy Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMsjeViSScFHAxEWVUTMiJvLHWHF7hOE1 Join the conversation, test everything, and hold fast to what is good.00:00 Introduction02:15 Why charismatics must test prophecy04:30 How bad prophecy damages the church07:15 Trump as a “wartime president” prophecy10:05 Assassination warnings and predictable claims11:55 Israel conflict prophecy evaluated12:50 Candace Owens “Spirit of Jehu” prophecy14:40 Kanye West prophecy that backfired16:15 Mike Bickle and “passing the crown” prophecy19:05 Explaining “words of obvious”20:55 Can this be Googled? According to the Smith's Bible Dictionary, Habakkuk means (embrace). This book would be the eighth, in order, of the Minor Prophets. Of the facts of the prophet's life, we have no certain information. One important aspect of the ancient Old Testament order of the Hebrew Bible is that the 12 prophetic works of Hosea through Malachi, sometimes referred to as the Minor Prophets, were designed as a single book called The Twelve. Habakkuk is the eighth book of The Twelve.Habakkuk lived in the final decades of Judah, Israel's southern kingdom. It was a time of injustice and idolatry, and he saw the rising threat of the Babylonian empire on the horizon. Unlike the other Hebrew prophets, Habakkuk doesn't accuse Israel or even speak to the people on Yahweh's behalf. Instead, all of his words are addressed to Yahweh. The book of Habakkuk tells us about Habakkuk's personal struggle to believe that Yahweh is good when there is so much tragedy and evil in the world.Habakkuk sees the darkness of the world as an invitation to have faith in Yahweh's promise to one day set things right. Living with such faith means trusting that Yahweh loves this world and works to one day eliminate all evil forever. Now we come to chapter 3 this is calledThe Prophet's Prayer Trust in Yahweh and His Ultimate JusticeThis is what the last chapter is all about. It opens with a prayer of Habakkuk, where the prophet begins by pleading with Yahweh to act in the present like he has in the past, bringing down corrupt nations. “Revive Thy works in the midst of the years” (Hab. 3:2). What follows is an ancient poem that describes a powerful and terrifying appearance of Yahweh through clouds, fire, and earthquake. It's very similar to the opening poems of Micah (Who is like Yahweh) and Nahum (the Compassionate), as well as the appearance of Yahweh at Mount Sinai in Exodus 19-20. When the Creator shows up to confront human evil, it will get everyone's attention.Habakkuk continues by describing the future defeat of evil among the nations as a future exodus. Just like Yahweh came as a warrior and split the sea in his battle against Pharaoh, Habakkuk says that Yahweh will once more bring his judgment down on the “head of the evil house.” Pharaoh, like Babylon, serves as a prototype of violent nations. At the same time, when Yahweh confronts evil, he will “save his people, and his anointed one” (Hab. 3:13), a reference to the coming king from the line of David. In this poem, the Exodus story of the past has become an image of a future exodus Yahweh will perform. He will once again defeat evil and bring down the Pharaohs and Babylon's of the world, bringing justice to all people and rescuing the oppressed and innocent. It's this promise that enables Habakkuk to end the book with hopeful praise. Even if the world is falling apart from food shortages, drought, war, or whatever, he will choose to trust and take joy in the covenant promise of Yahweh. By the end of the book of Habakkuk, the prophet becomes a shining example of how “the righteous live by faith.” He recognizes just how dark and chaotic the world and our lives can become, but he also sees how this invites us into the journey of faith, trusting that Yahweh loves this world more than we can imagine and that he will one day deal with its evil. Therefore the book concludes with a prayer of Habakkuk, which is a psalm of praise and trust in Yahweh. Habakkuk reflects on Yahweh's past deeds and expresses confidence in Yahweh's salvation, despite the impending hardships. He declares, "Yet I will exult in the LORD; I will rejoice in the Yahweh of my salvation!"Join me as we go Chapter by Chapter, Verse by Verse, Unraveling the Words of Yahweh!Have any questions? In this thought-provoking episode, Christopher from Radiant Fire Radio shares about JonMark Baker of the Minor Prophets did a podcast on "Repentance, Mercy and Judgment in the Church. (Link below). This podcast came after his former counterpart Jeff Simons quit the show. Simons quit the show because he couldn't take being in the ministry that involved exposing the darkness in the Church. In my opinion JonMark is trying to share his feelings on why he wants to quit but won't quit. JonMark shares what bothers him about the exposure ministry. JonMark claims that he was afraid of those accusing of him of wanting to "Burn it all down!" JonMark admitted that his anger about the darkness that was in the Church was overwhelming. At times JonMark honestly questions is there anyone in the Church with integrity anymore. I had the same questions, but I know that I'm not speaking on my own behalf, I am speaking on behalf of God. I know that the anger that I feel is not natural anger. It is a supernatural anger from God. I believe everyone else who is involved in exposing the darkness in the Church feels the same way. This anger that I experienced from time to time is from the Lord. I believe the Lord allows us to feel His heart so that we understand how He feels about what's going on with the Church. People in the Church who hurt other people don't care that they have hurt other people. JonMark does not understand that when these people get to this point they have been turned over to a reprobate mind and that is very hard to turn back around from. God has given these people another opportunity to turn their life over to Him. The unfortunate part about this is that they may have already gone too far. This episode is a commentary on the "Minor Prophets" show Repentance, Mercy and Judgment in the Church. Where will you stand? Will you be standing for God? Or will you do like everybody else? Living with such faith means trusting that Yahweh loves this world and works to one day eliminate all evil forever. In this chapter 2 we have an answer expected by the prophet (verse 1), and returned by the Spirit of Yahweh, to the complaints which the prophet made of the violence's and victories of the Chaldeans in the close of the prior chapter. The answer is,  I. That after Yahweh has served his own purposes by the prevailing power of the Chaldeans, has tried the faith and patience of his people, and distinguished between the hypocrites and the sincere among them, he will consider with the Chaldeans, will humble and bring down, not only that proud monarch Nebuchadnezzar, but that proud monarchy, for their boundless and greedy thirst after dominion and wealth, for which they themselves should at length be made a prey (verses 2-8). II. That not they only, but all other sinners like them, should perish under a divine woe.  1. Those that are jealous are greedy of wealth and honors (verses 9, 11).  2. Those that are harmful and oppressive and raise estates by wrongful acts and the violent seizure of someone's property (verses 12-14).  3. Those that promote drunkenness that they may expose their neighbors to shame (verses 15-17).  4. Those that worship idols (verses 18-20).As we read in that verse 15, we seen a severe woe is pronounced against drunkenness; keep in mind that it is very fearful against all who are guilty of drunkenness at any time, and in any place, from those in high place even do to the beer joints. To give one a drink who is in need, other words, one who is thirsty and poor, or a weary traveler, or ready to perish, is charity; BUT to give a neighbor a hard drink, that he may expose himself, may disclose secret concerns, or be drawn into a bad bargain, or for any such purpose, this is wickedness! To be guilty of this sin, to take pleasure in it, is to do what we can towards the murder both of soul and body. There is woe to him, and punishment answering to the sin. The folly of worshipping idols is exposed. The Lord is in his holy temple in heaven, where we have access to him in the way he has appointed. May we welcome his salvation, and worship him in his earthly temples, through Yahshua Messiah, and by the influence of the Holy Spirit.Woe = Note the five woes in verses: 6, 9, 12, 15, and 19.Never forget that every crime there is linked a curse, to every sin a suffering, to every wrong a woe. Through the end of the year we get to shift our focus to Malachi: The Sun Will Rise. The Minor Prophets (called that because they are shorter, not less important) are some of the least-read portions of the Bible for many Christians. They are perfect for Advent, though, because they address God's people in and after the exile. Malachi, in particular, is the last of the prophets that God spoke through before 400 years of silence. In Malachi's time the generation that rebuilt Jerusalem and rebuilt the Temple had died. The younger generations were disenchanted, disinterested, and faithless. They hadn't rejected God outright, but they were just going through the motions in complacency. ------------------------------------------- Connect with us on Social Media Website | Instagram | Threads | Facebook | Vimeo------------------------------------------- Download our AppApple App Store | Google Play Store

This is the sixth episode in a series of introductory overviews to various sections of the scriptures.  We are now dealing with the writings of the Minor Prophets (Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zachariah, Malachi).  These writers had varied ministries, sometimes with very short messages for God's people.NOTE: I said that the NT has 39 books, but I meant to say that the NT has only 27 books vs 39 for the OT, which is why there are more sections in the OT.Proverbs 30:5 KJVEvery word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.Related Podcasts:— Introduction to the Writings of Moses— Introduction to the Time of the Judges— Introduction to the Time of the Kings— Introduction to the Wisdom Writings— Introduction to the Major Prophets— The Purpose of the Minor Prophets— Male/Female Dynamics: Hosea & Gomer— Lessons from the Book of Jonah— The Third Day— The Final Reward of the WickedRelated Podcasts at TrueWisdom:— The Sign of the Prophet Jonah— The Bride of Christ— What is the Day of the Lord?Text UsSupport the showSend questions or comments to: BibleQuestions@ASBzone.comThe Key Principles of Effective Bible Study is a resource which outlines core concepts shown in the Scriptures that will help you to better understand many Biblical themes and doctrines. Unraveling The Words of Yahweh
Habakkuk Chapter 2 verses 11 thru 16

According to the Smith's Bible Dictionary, Habakkuk means (embrace). This book would be the eighth, in order, of the Minor Prophets. Of the facts of the prophet's life, we have no certain information.Habakkuk lived in the final decades of Judah, Israel's southern kingdom. 2. Those that are harmful and oppressive, and raise estates by wrongful acts and the violent seizure of someone's property (verses 12-14).  3. Those that promote drunkenness that they may expose their neighbors to shame (verses 15-17).  4. Those that worship idols (verses 18-20).We continue with verse 11 11.   This is poetic language, describing how even their habitations would cry out because of Yahweh's judgment and destruction. A rafter from wood will answer it: There is (even) unity between these building materials. At that time, the walls of the houses were built from stone, and roofs were made of wood. Using poetic language, the writer is revealing to us that even the wood and stone cried out a warning to the people. These inanimate objects realized that the sinfulness of the people was going to be ultimately judged by Yahweh. The Babylonians were not smarter than the stone and the wood of their homes. Those who lived in these houses paid no attention to what their future truly held.12.  Yahweh was not only displeased with the greedy man, He also pronounced a woe against the violent man. This was the foundation of the Babylonian mindset. They built up their cities, their empire, by shedding the blood of others. They incorrectly thought that this activity was going to ultimately make them strong and secure. This was not the case.13.   Note: This verse is a question. The grammar here always implies a negative answer. 14.   Note: This verse is a verse of contrast. The other verses have dealt with the Babylonians. In this verse we see that Yahweh shows a contrast between the Babylonians and their idols and Himself – the only true Yahweh, the Yahweh of Israel. Join me as we go Chapter by Chapter, Verse by Verse, Unraveling the Words of Yahweh!Have any questions? Welcome to the Podcast of Southwest Bible Fellowship in Tempe, Arizona. WHO ARE WE? • We are a group of people who are committed to living the grace life as set forth by the apostle of the Gentiles, the Apostle Paul. • We come together to study our Bibles, and yes, we believe we have God's perfect Word in the King James Bible. It and it alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice! • We do not come together and study our Bibles for the intent of being smarter than others. We understand that knowledge for the sake of knowledge is purely vain and serves no Godly purpose. • We do come together and study our Bibles for the intent of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:10) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that we have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. (Galatians 2:20) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that because Jesus Christ shed His blood for us and we should not live for ourselves but for Him, who died for us and rose again. The “sarcastic song” here begins, and continues to the end of the chapter. It is a symmetrical whole, and consists of five stanzas; the first three consisting of three verses each, the fourth of four verses, and the last of two. Each stanza has its own subject, and all except the last begin with “Woe”; and all have a closing verse introduced with “for,” “because,” or “but.”how long? = i.e. for his time is short.
