Their murders didn’t have much in common, either. One got the usual local coverage, the other was an internet sleuth sensation. One was solved fairly quickly, the other, 10 years later, is still as much of a mystery as it was in 2016. But they both left devastated family and friends in their wake, and their homicides and the aftermath say something about the bigger picture 10 years ago — in a lot of ways, little has improved. April 17, 2016, was a very rainy day in Midlothian, Texas and 45-year-old Missy Bevers was scheduled to teach a fitness class outside of Creekside Church at five the next morning. That evening Missy posted on her FB page” If it's raining, we're still training!” giving the time and location of the class with instructions to meet inside the church building instead of their usual spot in the parking lot.  Around 5:00 am the next morning, students arrived at the church, but instead of being met with the expected smile and encouragement that Missy was known for giving, they found Missy lying unresponsive on the floor surrounded by blood and broken glass.  Later that day, Missy would be pronounced deceased. When authorities reviewed the church's surveillance footage, nobody was prepared for what they would see. "I don't think she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I feel like someone was after her." On the morning of 18 April 2016, early-rising gymgoers began to arrive at the Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian, Texas, a suburb on the southern outskirts of Dallas. There, inside the church, they expected to find their instructor, 45-year-old Missy Bevers.Bevers, a married mother of three, had woken up early and gotten to the church a little after 4:00 AM, well ahead of her fitness students. However, she couldn't have known that someone else had been inside that church for at least half an hour. In the early morning hours of April 18, 2016, Missy Bevers, a 45-year-old beloved mom, wife, fitness instructor, and so much more, was murdered inside Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian, Texas. When police checked the surveillance footage, they learned that Missy had been viciously attacked by someone wearing tactical gear, and carrying a hammer. Despite the killer being captured on camera, no suspects have ever been identified. It's been just over eight years since Missy was killed, and investigators are still searching for the person responsible… Missy Bevers was murdered at some point between 4:20 and 5:00 am on April 18, 2016 while she was inside the Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian, Texas.  The police believe the suspect is 5'8” with a helmet on. They do not know the gender or race of the suspect, however they believe the suspect is light-skinned. They ask that everyone watch the video footage to see if you recognize the suspect.  Investigators are also looking for the driver of a Silver Nissan Altima, who was seen in the parking lot of SWFA Outdoors just a few hours before Missy was murdered. Missy had a class scheduled for 5am on Monday, April 18, 2016.  The weather was predicted to be stormy, so she made a social media post advising the attendees that the class would be held indoors. Missy arrived to the church early to set up, and waiting for her was a person dressed in police riot gear.  This person had entered the building around 30 minutes before Missy arrived and was seen on CCTV walking from room to room, causing damage to the property.  When Missy's class attendees arrived, they found a bloodied scene.  Missy had been attacked and murdered by the person in the police gear. 7 years later, Missy's murder is still unsolved.  Did she disturb a robbery or was this a targeted murder?
