Welcome back to ACSOM, the multi-award-winning podcast with A Celtic State of Mind! In today's live stream, we are breaking down the massive fallout surrounding Celtic's historic, title-winning 3-1 victory over Hearts at Celtic Park. While the Hoops secured a monumental fifth consecutive Scottish Premiership championship success, the post-match headlines have been completely dominated by the chaotic final whistle scenes. In this stream, Paul John Dykes and the panel dive deep into the media narrative, the official club statements, and the intense fan debates. Why is Celtic's pitch invasion being heavily branded as "intimidatory" rather than a joyful, traditional title celebration? We dissect all angles of the incident, including:
Ten years ago, a fitness instructor was murdered inside a Midlothian church just before her early morning class. The killer — caught on security cameras wearing tactical gear — has never been identified. A decade later, police still have no suspect. Was it a robbery gone wrong … or was Missy Bevers the target all along?See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Welcome to today's ACSOM livestream! As we look ahead to a massive clash against Heart of Midlothian, we evoke the ultimate standard of Hoops resilience: the legendary 1985/86 Scottish Premier Division title race. On that unforgettable final day on May 3, 1986, Celtic pulled off one of the greatest title turnarounds in football history. Trailing league-leaders Hearts by two points, the Bhoys went to Love Street and dismantled St Mirren 5-0. Meanwhile, two late, dramatic goals from Dundee's Albert Kidd shattered Hearts' dreams at Dens Park, handing Celtic the championship trophy on goal difference. That is the true definition of Celtic's fighting spirit. No matter the odds, we never stop! In today's live breakdown, we are discussing:

Join Warren Ashurst, Tom McGarry and Dan Childs for the latest episode of The Assist — your essential guide to this weekend's football action. The season run-in is reaching its climax, with the title race, battle for Europe and fight for survival all heading towards a dramatic conclusion. There's also the small matter of the FA Cup Final this weekend.Wembley takes centre stage on Saturday at 3pm as Chelsea and Manchester City meet in the FA Cup final. City will be heavy favourites, but it would be classic Chelsea to salvage silverware from a difficult season. In the Premier League, Arsenal are closing in on a first league title in 22 years as they host already relegated Burnley in their final home game of the campaign. On paper, this looks like nothing other than a routine three points for the Gunners, but we've seen stranger things happen at this stage of the season. A win for Arsenal would heap the pressure back on City ahead of their tricky trip to an in-form AFC Bournemouth next week.Elsewhere, the team look ahead to a huge clash in the Scottish Premiership as Heart of Midlothian take on Celtic in a match of enormous significance. Just a point would see Hearts crowned champions of Scotland.Plus, don't miss Tom McGarry's Bet Builder, the latest FPL advice, The Assist Treble and the weekend NAPs.
Joel and Craig preview a massive week in the history of Heart of Midlothian. Before dawn on April 18, 2016, fitness instructor Missy Bevers arrived at Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian, Texas, ready to lead her early‑morning boot camp. Within an hour, she would be found brutally murdered—her killer already vanished into the darkness.Surveillance footage revealed the now‑infamous figure: a person dressed head‑to‑toe in SWAT‑style tactical gear, wandering the church's halls with chilling calm, smashing windows, opening doors, and waiting. Their identity remains one of the most haunting mysteries in modern true crime. In this episode, we break down the timeline, the bizarre behavior caught on camera, the tangled web of theories—from targeted attack to staged burglary—and the unanswered questions that still keep investigators and armchair sleuths awake at night. Was the killer someone Missy knew? A stranger with a grudge? Or a phantom who slipped in and out with military precision?Join us as we walk the echoing hallways, sift through the clues, and explore why this case continues to grip the true‑crime world a decade later.Sources: https://www.fox4news.com/news/missy-bevers-murder-10-years-since-unsolved-midlothian-church-killinghttps://www.wfaa.com/article/news/crime/a-new-view-of-midlothian-murder-suspect/287-143107339https://www.cbsnews.com/news/docs-church-murder-victim-terri-missy-bevers-received-creepy-linkedin-message/https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/missy-bevers-murder-ten-years-unsolved-midlothian-investigation/https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/midlothian-police-to-release-more-video-in-bevers-murder-case/https://open.spotify.com/show/717smRLOKk8hgmhBAV5wr9?si=r3nirygcS2qZFR6H2ZtX0A Hosted on Acast. Welcome to The Turf Zone Podcast. This episode features the article “Turfgrass Research, Partnership, and Progress: 10 Years of the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research Classic & Field Day” Many of Virginia's turfgrass industry professionals will gather at Independence Golf Club on Monday, May 18, 2026, to celebrate a major milestone: the 10th anniversary of the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research Classic & Field Day. The inaugural event was held on May 15, 2017 across the James at the Country Club of Virginia's Tuckahoe Creek and James River courses, during establishment of the VT Turf Team's partnership with leadership at Independence Golf Club. In fact, sprigs were spread on Independence Golf Club's Bear Short Course that evening in what has turned into a decade-long partnership that has reshaped on-site research in Virginia. Hosted in Midlothian, VA, this year's event is designed to bring together golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, lawn care specialists, sod producers, landscapers, vendors, and other green-industry professionals for a full day of learning, networking, and support for turfgrass research. At its heart, the event showcases the strong partnership that has powered a decade of progress. For the past ten years, the Virginia Golf Course Superintendents Association (VGCSA) has been the driving force behind the Turfgrass Research Classic, providing leadership and support that have helped raise more than $500,000 for Virginia Tech turfgrass research through the Virginia Turfgrass Foundation (VTF). Beginning in 2026, VGCSA will continue this role as the Title Partner of the Turfgrass Research Classic & Field Day, working in partnership with the VTF, Virginia Tech, and our allied associations to expand the event's reach and impact across the broader turfgrass industry. This anniversary year also marks an important evolution in how the event is organized. Beginning in 2026, the Virginia Turfgrass Foundation is taking the lead in coordinating both the Field Day and the Research Golf Tournament, in close collaboration with VGCSA, the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Team, and industry partners. Centralizing sponsorships through the Foundation streamlines the process for supporters, maximizes nonprofit benefits, and ensures that contributions are tax-deductible and directed to Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research. The result is a more efficient, aligned effort that benefits the entire turfgrass community and strengthens the future of research and education in Virginia. The day will begin with the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Field Day from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., featuring a dynamic walking tour around the Independence Golf Club's Bear Short Course. Multiple research stations will be set up across the property, where attendees can hear directly from leading researchers and industry experts. While this event is held on a golf course, most of the topics covered apply across a variety of turfgrass uses. These topics include updates on winterkill and spring recovery strategies, water-use efficiency, sensing tools and technology, targeted application strategies, turfgrass pathology and disease prevention, turfgrass weed management, and turfgrass entomology and pollinator protection. Breakfast and lunch, hosted by the Virginia Turfgrass Foundation, will give participants time to connect with colleagues and continue discussions beyond each station. The afternoon will shift to the Turfgrass Research Classic golf tournament, with a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. Participants will tee off alongside fellow professionals, sponsors, and researchers in a fun, friendly competition that directly supports turfgrass research and education. All proceeds benefit the Virginia Turfgrass Foundation and the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research Program, meaning every round played helps fuel the science that drives the profession forward. Whether attendees are competitive golfers or simply enjoy a day on the course, the tournament offers camaraderie, networking, and the satisfaction of investing in the industry's future. Vendors and sponsors will also play a central role in this year's celebration. The 10th anniversary format offers expanded opportunities for engagement and visibility, including vendor tables, on-site demonstrations, high-visibility sponsorship packages, and broad promotional reach across the turfgrass industry. For the first time, all sponsorships and donations will flow through the Virginia Turfgrass Foundation, providing charitable tax deductions. These contributions help fund essential research, student scholarships, needed equipment, and educational programming that strengthen Virginia's turfgrass sector and support the next generation of leaders. As the event marks ten years of partnership, innovation, and shared commitment, organizers emphasize that this is more than just another field day or golf tournament. It is a celebration of the industry's collective achievements and a strategic investment in the continued advancement of turfgrass science in Virginia. Those interested in attending, sponsoring, or exhibiting are encouraged to register or secure their support by visiting www.vaturfgrass.org or contacting Brandyn Baty, at brandyn@vaturfgrass.org or 757-585-3058 for details on registration, sponsorship packages, or vendor opportunities. Presented by the Virginia Turfgrass Foundation in partnership with Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research, the VGCSA, and the VTC, the 2026 Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research Classic & Field Day promises to be a milestone event the entire turfgrass industry can rally behind. On this episode of Unsolved Mysteries Rewind, Mark welcomed Diana to discuss the heartbreaking 1988 abduction and murder of 7-year-old Jaclyn Dowaliby from her Midlothian, Illinois home. What began as a missing child case quickly spiraled into a controversial prosecution of her parents, ending in David Dowaliby's wrongful conviction and later exoneration. Thank you to all the wonderful Missy Bevers supporters who came out in support of the Ten Year Anniversary of Missy's tragic murder. We had an awesome group of people there for the live podcast, which took place at Heritage Park in downtown Midlothian. Missy Bevers was murdered at Creekside Church in Midlothian, Texas, early in the morning on April 18, 2016. She was there to set up to teach her 5 AM Camp Gladiator class.
"We did it by playing football. Pure, beautiful, inventive football." Jock Stein's words are etched into the DNA of Celtic FC, establishing a standard where winning isn't enough - you have to entertain. But as we enter the final stretch of the 2025–26 Scottish Premiership season, that "beautiful" game feels like a distant memory. This season has been anything but pure. From the mid-season managerial shift to Martin O'Neill following Brendan Rodgers' departure in October, the flair has been replaced by a "grind-it-out" mentality. We've seen 112 goals last season plummet to just 59 this term, with fans growing frustrated by sideways passing and late, scrappy winners. And yet, somehow, we are still right in there. Despite the poor perfromances at times, Celtic remain locked in a fierce three-way title race with Heart of Midlothian and Rangers. With only a few points separating the top three, the manner of victory has taken a backseat to the sheer necessity of the three points. In this video, we analyze: The Philosophy Gap: Why Stein's "inventive" football has vanished this season. The O'Neill Effect: Can grit and spirit alone defend the title? The Run-In: Breaking down the post-split fixtures, including the massive Glasgow Derby on May 10. It isn't "pure, beautiful, or inventive" - but will it be enough to bring the trophy back to Parkhead? Let's discuss in the comments: Would you take five more ugly 1-0 wins if it guaranteed the league title? Interview with Mark Selby, CEO of Canada NickelOur previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/western-nickel-projects-gain-momentum-as-supply-dynamics-improve-9150Recording date: 1st March 2026After several years of volatility in nickel markets driven largely by Indonesian oversupply, signs of structural recalibration are emerging. Canada Nickel Company is advancing the Crawford nickel sulfide project in Ontario at a time when improving supply discipline and supportive Western industrial policy may reshape the investment case for the metal.CEO Mark Selby points to Indonesia's evolving fiscal framework as a central catalyst. Tiered royalty systems and ore quota management now align government revenue incentives with higher realized nickel prices. Year-to-date, nickel prices have risen approximately 30%, while ore, nickel pig iron, and stainless steel prices have increased up to 40%. These indicators suggest that tightening supply dynamics are beginning to support price stabilization.Crawford represents one of the largest undeveloped nickel sulfide resources in North America. The project is progressing through permitting and engineering, with federal permits expected mid-year and provincial coordination under Ontario's “One Project, One Process” framework. Detailed engineering has commenced, and long-lead procurement planning is underway. The project has a projected mine life of approximately 40 years and expected annual production approaching 50,000 tonnes of nickel in its initial phase.Financing visibility has improved materially. The company estimates roughly C$600 million in refundable tax credits across two Canadian critical minerals programs. In addition, Samsung SDI has committed US$100 million for a 10% stake in the project, validating its strategic importance within battery supply chains. Remaining equity requirements are estimated at approximately US$300 million, with potential access to Ontario's Critical Minerals Processing Fund, Canada's C$2 billion Critical Minerals Sovereign Fund, infrastructure programs, and G7-aligned financing relationships in Europe.Beyond Crawford, Canada Nickel controls additional assets within the Timmins Nickel District, including Midlothian and Reid. Reid's footprint exceeds that of Crawford and may support higher annual production rates. Over time, the district could potentially support multiple production lines and significantly expand output, subject to sequencing and partnership decisions.Currently trading at a discount to net asset value relative to comparable advanced-stage projects in other commodities, Canada Nickel may benefit from valuation re-rating as nickel fundamentals stabilize and project milestones are achieved. While development risks remain inherent in large-scale mining projects, the alignment of improving commodity dynamics, government-backed funding frameworks, and project readiness positions the company within a differentiated segment of the nickel development space. For investors seeking exposure to critical minerals within a stable jurisdiction, Canada Nickel offers participation in both near-term construction catalysts and long-term district-scale growth.View Canada Nickel's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/canada-nickelSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Alcohol had become an automatic habit used to avoid feelings, slowly eroding sleep , mood, health, clarity, and self-respect. "Functioning" wasn't truly living. When they stopped lying to themselves about its cost and stopped romanticizing it, drinking felt pointless—and they simply chose honesty over pretending. [10:12] Paul introduces Greg: Greg is 57 years old from Midlothian, VA. For work, Greg is self-employed and does lawn, landscape and maintenance work. He has been married for 24 years, and he has four adult children, one grandchild, two dogs and a cat. For fun, Greg enjoys going to yard sales, is a big sports fan and enjoys music of all kinds. Greg rarely drank in high school but began drinking regularly in college, which hurt his grades. After his GPA fell below 2.0, his father refused to keep paying for school unless he transferred to a Christian university. Greg initially moved out and continued partying while working a minimum-wage job but eventually accepted his father's offer. Despite strict no-drinking rules at the new school, he found ways to keep partying. With his first child on the way after graduation, Greg got a position working in retail management. A few years later he shifted to working in the restaurant business, which found him drinking every evening after work and staying at the bar through all hours. After his sister's sudden death, Greg's drinking intensified and shifted from social partying to drinking alone as a way to cope. He didn't see himself as an alcoholic - it just felt normal to him. When his relationship with the mother of his first two children ended, his drinking continued to worsen. Within a few years, Greg and his current wife married and had two kids together. Greg continued to drink daily and over the years, his wife's tolerance decreased. She tried everything she could to help him stop, but eventually she began talking about divorce and separation, but he didn't believe she would do it. In March 2025, his wife moved out. Greg had made a statement that this was just who he was, and he was done trying to quit drinking and he now believes that was the straw that broke the camel's back. He still had no interest in quitting drinking until August 2025 when he heard a voice telling him to start going back to church. This was the catalyst Greg needed, and he surrendered control of his life to Jesus Christ and became active in his church community. He starts his mornings with reading the bible, journalling and reviewing his thoughts and feelings. He is currently starting a recovery group at his church. Greg and his wife are working on reconciliation. Now 45 days away from alcohol at the time of recording, Greg feels like a completely different person.
