In this bonus episode, Simon and Tom discuss a harrowing crime from 1985 where three soldiers were brutally murdered in Midlothian, Scotland. They begin by catching up on recent events, including a disturbing case of a young man who pled guilty to stabbing three girls, compared to a school shooter profile constrained by the UK's lack of guns. They then dive deep into the Glencorse killings, exploring the crime scene, the initial investigation led by Detective Superintendent Brian Cunningham, and the pivotal role of Colonel Clive Fairweather. Suspicions quickly turned inward, leading to the arrest of Corporal Andrew Walker. The meticulous investigation detailed will fascinate listeners, from the matching of bullets to the recovery of key evidence. They also draw parallels to modern-day media management issues, reflecting on how such cases were handled differently in the past. Beyond Chiropractic" began when Dr. Kathi was very young. She grew up in a family where her parents grew their own food, treated illnesses holistically and lived a wholesome, healthy life. When she was young, she didn't really understand wellness or living healthy, and she sure didn't know that her life path was to eventually become a healer to others! Today, Dr. Kathi is one of the top chiropractors not only in Texas where she practices, but across the nation. Since graduating from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1995, Dr. Kathi has dedicated herself to learning over 40 techniques so she can help her patients meet their personal healthcare needs. She shortly opened her private practice in Alvarado, Texas after graduation, and has built her "eclectic chiropractic" mix of different techniques which people need to get back to optimum health. Today Dr. Kathi is one of only a few in a 6 state area who practice the Sacro-Occiptal Technique (or SOT) and the Lifeline Technique. She also is an Advanced BEST Doctor, Questor in the Total Body Modification (TBM) Technique, and holds a Texas State Radiology permit. In 1997 she earned her Fellow from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncturists. During the years, Dr. Kathi has studied with and been mentored by some of the “chiropractic greats” including Dr. Victor Frank, Dr. Karl Parker, Dr. M.L. Rees, Dr. Jolyn English, Dr. Curtis Buddingh, Dr. 'Skip' Skipsted, Dr. Martin Rosen and Dr. H. Lee Black. Dr. Kathi is sought after as an author and instructor, and speaker. She recently published her first book “Defying Death: The Road to a Quality Life”, and is involved with seminars through Transformation University and soon to be, Transformation TV. She also is also a contributing writer for “Health and Well Being Magazine” distributed across North Central Texas. Recognized by her industry peers and her community as a thought leader, Dr. Kathi has received the following awards and accolades: 2016 & 2017 - Spectrum Award - City Beat News 2016 & 2015 - Best of Alvarado (Texas) Chiropractor 2016 - 10 Best Patient Satisfaction Award - American Institute of Chiropractors 2014 - MOM Approved - DFWChild.com 1998-99-American Directory of Who's Who in Executives & Businesses 1999-2000-Strathmore's Who's Who 2000-Nationwide Register's Who's Who in Executives & Businesses 2000-National Registry of Who's Who—Life Member Dr. Kathi is a member of the Board of Directors for Paws For Reflection Ranch which is a unique animal assisted therapy organization located in Midlothian, Texas. She also is very involved with and has held leadership roles with the Alvarado Business Professionals, Women's Success Network, Student International Chiropractic Association, and the local American Cutting Horse Assn. Kirsty McNeill is a new Labour MP but certainly not new to the Labour movement. She is perhaps best known for hr time working as an advisor to the Browns; firstly in Number 10 during Gordon Brown's time as Prime Minister, and later for both Gordon and Sarah Brown on their charity projects. Following her experience working on a number of non-executive board, including at the IPPR and Our Scottish Future, she unseated the SNP in the seat of Midlothian. Currently serving in the Scotland Office, she was one of the first MPs of the new intake to be awarded roles in government.  On the podcast, Kirsty talks to Katy Balls about growing up in an SNP-supporting family, her training as a debater and how activism and advocacy led her into politics. She also provides her reflections on 2014 Scottish referendum having worked on the campaign, how Scottish and Labour politics have changed over the past few years, and her priorities for the new Labour government. April 17, 2016, was a very rainy day in Midlothian, Texas and 45-year-old Missy Bevers was scheduled to teach a fitness class outside of Creekside Church at five the next morning. That evening Missy posted on her FB page” If it's raining, we're still training!” giving the time and location of the class with instructions to meet inside the church building instead of their usual spot in the parking lot.  Around 5:00 am the next morning, students arrived at the church, but instead of being met with the expected smile and encouragement that Missy was known for giving, they found Missy lying unresponsive on the floor surrounded by blood and broken glass.  Later that day, Missy would be pronounced deceased. When authorities reviewed the church's surveillance footage, nobody was prepared for what they would see. This video catapulted Missy's case into the public eye and despite having very clear pictures of Missy's killer, more than 8 years later, her case remains unsolved.    Sources: https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/crime/missy-bevers-murder-investigation-midlothian-texas-police-suspects-leads/287-9de8d7d7-6684-4cb0-9f5f-57bc10847b26 https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/husband-of-missy-bevers-discusses-unsolved-case-nearly-8-years-after-her-murder/3464935/ Tom Webster. Tonight's guest is Anne Calling from Midlothian, Scotland. In 1978, a group of five childhood friends in Midlothian, including Anne, Pamela, and Mary, experienced a traumatic encounter during a walk along an old railway line in Newtongrange. They describe encountering a three-foot-tall creature with bright yellow eyes, greenish-brown skin, and no visible mouth. The creature communicated telepathically, advising them not to be afraid. Following this, the friends later found themselves in a nearby field with no memory of how they got there. This incident left them with lasting psychological effects; Anne, in particular, has suffered from night terrors for over 40 years, suspecting these might be related to being aboard a UFO. The group remained silent about the event for decades due to fear of ridicule, but now they feel compelled to share their story. Pamela and Mary have been kind enough to send in recordings of their versions of the experience, which are also included in this episode.More information on this episode on the podcast website:https://ufochroniclespodcast.com/ep-308-the-newtongrange-encounter/Follow and Subscribe on X to get ad free episodesX: https://x.com/UFOchronpodcast/Want to share your encounter on the show?Email: UFOChronicles@gmail.comOr Fill out Guest Form:https://forms.gle/uGQ8PTVRkcjy4nxS7Follow and Subscribe on X to get ad free episodesX: https://x.com/UFOchronpodcast/Podcast Merchandise:https://www.teepublic.com/user/ufo-chronicles-podcastHelp Support UFO CHRONICLES by becoming a Patron:https://patreon.com/UFOChroniclespodcastAll Links for Podcast:https://linktr.ee/UFOChroniclesPodcastThank you for listening!Like share and subscribe it really helps me when people share the show on social media, it means we can reach more people and more witnesses and without your amazing support, it wouldn't be possible.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/ufo-chronicles-podcast--3395068/support.
