Sixteen children were living in a house in Hamden, Ohio, and for years the people closest to that house managed not to see a single one of them. That's the part of the Siders case Tony Brueski won't let go of. It starts with an accident. Deputies in Vinton County went to that address to serve a warrant on an unrelated matter — not a welfare check, not a tip about children. Ohio's Attorney General has confirmed nobody expected to find kids inside. The school district had no enrollment records for any of them. The oldest is eighteen and, according to investigators, couldn't write her own name. Then the neighborhood starts talking. Store employees describe years of odd details — the clothing, the hygiene, the closing-time shopping trips — all recalled with perfect clarity only after arrests made the news. A man who lived seventy feet from that house says he never once saw a child there in six years. A psychotherapist breaks down the exact mental shortcuts behind that kind of blindness, and why they're not unique to this town. Four adults are charged with sixteen counts each of second-degree felony child endangering. All four have entered not-guilty pleas. No indictment has come down yet. From there, Tony widens the lens: a mandated-reporter system built on duty with almost no teeth behind it, a child-welfare funding model that rewards removal over discovery, and a case out of Washington, D.C. where four girls died inside a system a federal judge had personally overseen for nineteen years. Sixteen kids, found by luck. Ask yourself what it would've taken to find them on purpose. Social Links & Legal Footer Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Send us Fan MailHe spent fifty-five years searching for answers. Dozens of doctors. Hundreds of tests. Twelve different diagnoses. And what he discovered wasn't just a problem with medicine - it was a problem with the system itself.Haresh Patel ( https://hareshpatel.ai/ ) is an entrepreneur, engineer, Founder and CEO of Sanare Health AI ( https://sanarehealth.ai/ ), and author of the memoir The Ghost in My Body: What Twelve Doctors Couldn't Find ( https://www.amazon.com/Ghost-My-Body-Doctors-Couldnt-ebook/dp/B0GL561XNC ).After immigrating from India and earning an electrical engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame, Haresh built a distinguished career in Silicon Valley, ultimately founding Mercatus, a private-markets data platform that grew to manage more than $1.5 trillion in assets before being acquired by State Street in 2021.But behind that business success was a deeply personal story. For more than 55 years, Haresh lived with unexplained symptoms, navigating a maze of specialists, tests, and conflicting diagnoses without ever receiving a clear answer. Rather than accepting the limitations of the system, he applied the same systems-thinking and pattern-recognition skills that made him successful in technology and finance to his own health journey. That experience led Haresh to a provocative conclusion: many patients don't suffer from a lack of doctors - they suffer from a lack of synthesis. Modern medicine excels at specialization, but often struggles to connect information across disciplines, timelines, and life experiences.Today, Haresh is the founder of Sanare Health AI, an AI-powered diagnostic intelligence platform designed to help patients with complex, chronic, and undiagnosed conditions uncover patterns hidden within fragmented medical data. His mission is to give physicians a more complete picture of the patient, empower individuals to own their health stories, and help solve one of healthcare's most overlooked challenges: the millions of people still searching for answers. We discuss diagnostic failure, AI in medicine, data sovereignty, root-cause healthcare, and what happens when a patient spends a lifetime becoming the expert on his own condition.#HareshPatel #TheGhostInMyBody #SanareHealth #ArtificialIntelligence #AIHealthcare #RareDisease #UndiagnosedDisease #DiagnosticOdyssey #PrecisionMedicine #RootCauseMedicine #HealthcareInnovation #FutureOfMedicine #MedicalAI #HealthTech #ChronicIllness #PatientAdvocacy #Longevity #MedicalDiagnostics #ComplexPatients #ProgressPotentialPossibilitiesSupport the show

How to Pay Off a 30-Year Mortgage in 7 Years (Without Being Rich)

The Minority Mindset Show

"Your bank wants to get paid before you get paid."   On a standard 30-year mortgage, 87% of every dollar paid in year one goes directly to the bank as interest. It takes until year 21 before more than half of each payment builds equity. Most homeowners never question this, but the structure is designed to maximize what the bank collects, not what the borrower keeps.   Jaspreet Singh breaks down three strategies to pay off a 30-year mortgage years ahead of schedule, without needing a windfall. Using a $437,000 home with a $350,000 mortgage at 7% as the working example throughout.   In this episode, you'll learn: Why making 13 mortgage payments a year instead of 12 either by paying half the monthly amount every two weeks, or by adding one-twelfth of the payment to each monthly bill, pays off the mortgage 5 years sooner and saves over $90,000 in interest with no lifestyle change How additional payments of $200, $500, or $2,500 per month accelerate payoff by 6, 12, or 23 years respectively and why every extra dollar must be applied to the principal balance, not the next scheduled payment, for this to work What mortgage recasting is and why most people have never heard of it: after making a lump sum payment of $5,000–$10,000, the bank recalculates the monthly payment downward. So paying the original amount means more goes to principal automatically, without refinancing or changing the rate Why recasting beats refinancing in a high-rate environment: the loan term, interest rate, and lender all stay the same. Only the monthly payment drops, making it a low-cost way to accelerate payoff after any lump sum, whether from a bonus, tax refund, or inheritance   Keywords: pay off mortgage early, mortgage recasting, biweekly mortgage payments, amortization schedule, principal payments, 30-year mortgage, home equity, mortgage payoff strategy, interest savings, financial freedom     Want more financial news? Starting at age 15 with what turned out to be endometriosis, she navigated misdiagnoses, eight prescription medications out of Cleveland Clinic, and 17 surgeries, including the hip surgery that finally uncovered the answer hiding in plain sight. Refusing to accept a lifetime on Cymbalta and Neurontin, Ashleigh took the slow, determined road toward natural healing — and eventually found PEMF therapy (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy), a technology she describes as earthing and grounding "on steroids." Now the owner of Pulse for Life LLC in Post Falls, Idaho, Ashleigh uses PEMF, red light therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen to help clients reduce inflammation, accelerate healing, and give their cells the energy God designed them to run on.HealingStrong's mission is to educate, equip and empower our group leaders and group participants through their journey with cancer or other chronic illnesses, and know there is HOPE. Caroline and her husband John celebrate their 20-year anniversary on “Coming In Hot” by walking through a psychologist's six stages of marriage and sharing what they've lived through so far, focusing on the honeymoon, realization, and rebellion stages. They openly discuss early red flags they ignored, especially around money, family dynamics, expectations, and communication, plus moments when the “rose-colored glasses” came off, including John getting fired and how he handled it. They talk about power struggles after kids, feeling controlled or resentful, and how having purpose, boundaries, lists, and honest conversations helped them rebuild connection. They share practical ways they stayed close—weekly date nights, travel, trying new things, and showing affection—while emphasizing respect, trust, patience, and not trying to change each other, ending with a playful lightning round and advice for making marriage last.

Dr. John sits down with Eli Weinstein—therapist, no-BS truth-teller, and author of From I Do to We Do (out March 2026)—to unpack why couples drift after kids… and how to rebuild the “we” without buraning the whole house down. You'll hear the real stuff:  why new dads can love their kids but not always like them (and why that doesn't make you a monster),  how men get trapped between “be strong” and “be emotional,”  and what happens when a partner asks for feelings… then punishes vulnerability.  John and Eli also dig into the heavy reality therapists carry—especially with suicidal clients—and the skill of caring deeply without being crushed by it. The practical gold is Eli's “holy trinity” for relationship peace: expectations, perceptions, and reality—plus a simple daily check-in that prevents 90% of avoidable fights (Listen to discover this cheat code!). Add in “assume positive intent,” “treasure hunt” for what your partner does right, and a mindset shift toward rewarding effort over outcome—and you've got a blueprint for staying connected when life is chaos. Want a Higher Baseline of Calm, Confidence, and Control? Sam and I walk through training and nutrition audits: how to know if you're under-training but over-exercising, burning your willpower on the wrong stuff, and what to simplify so 2026 finally stops feeling like Groundhog Day.we talk about moving from punishment to performance: fuelling for training, chasing strength PBs, and letting fat loss be a by-product instead of your whole personality. Especially powerful if you've never really felt what it's like to lift well-fuelled and strong.no more getting back on tracks.. no more falling offs in the first place. It's about expanding; your strength, your capacity, your confidence. Slimming Stories

In today's episode, I'm sharing an update I never thought I'd be able to say out loud: it's now around four years since I last ate chocolate, cakes or sweets. I'm talking about where my binge eating started, how sugary foods became my comfort and my reward, and why nothing I tried could touch those cravings for long. I walk you through the turning point during my hypnotherapy training – the deep emotional release that shook my whole body, the work we did on repressed fear, and the specific hypnosis that made chocolate and sweets taste unbearably sweet. From that point on, I simply couldn't eat them in the same way again, and my relationship with food began to shift for good. I also share honestly about choosing to take the Mounjaro jab in 2025 . I explain what it did to my hunger and “food noise”, the side effects I noticed when I increased my dose, the weight I lost, and why I decided to come off it before reaching a final goal weight. This episode is for anyone who feels ruled by cravings, is curious about hypnosis, or worries what life looks like after stopping a weight loss jab.   Get the first 3 modules of “Ease Your Mind” mini-course now for FREE https://www.claireoldhamwest.com/Ease-your-mind

Why do some recruitment business leaders triple their revenue while others plateau despite working twice as hard? My guest, Martin Herbst, discovered the answer the hard way. After hitting rock bottom with burnout, he rebuilt his leadership philosophy from the ground up — and within five years, JobAdder tripled its revenue and client base. Martin is the CEO of JobAdder, one of the world's leading recruitment technology platforms. Under his leadership, the company has achieved record growth while helping recruiters work smarter without losing the human touch. In this episode, Martin opens up about his personal experience with burnout and shares how he transformed that crisis into a leadership breakthrough. You'll learn how he built a healthier, more effective approach to scaling a recruitment business one that's rooted in purpose, values, and vision rather than constant hustle. He also breaks down the exact leadership frameworks that helped JobAdder grow sustainably: how to align your team around a clear long-term strategy, why empathy drives innovation, and how to balance big-picture vision with daily execution. Beyond leadership, Martin dives into how technology and AI are reshaping recruitment. He explains where automation genuinely creates value for recruiters, how to avoid the “AI hype trap,” and why human connection will always be the most powerful differentiator in this business. If you've ever struggled with overwhelm, exhaustion, or inconsistent growth, this conversation is a must-listen. Martin's story is proof that scaling your business doesn't require sacrificing your health or your values. In this episode, you'll discover: How burnout became the catalyst for a breakthrough The daily habits that keep stress and anxiety in check Why swimming is Martin's secret weapon for clarity and focus The strategy process behind JobAdder's 5-year growth story Why most recruitment leaders underinvest in long-term planning How to use vision and values as your ultimate growth levers The fundamental role of AI in recruitment (and where it adds true value) Why the best BD technology is still the telephone Episode highlights: [6:44] The burnout story: high anxiety and insomnia that led to stepping away completely [11:17] Morning and evening borders: the simple habits that prevent burnout from creeping back [19:32] How JobAdder tripled revenue in five years, and why it wasn't about working harder [23:31] Why most recruitment agency owners underinvest in strategy and long-term vision [32:29] Why recruitment might be the profession most immune to AI disruption [48:36] Why automation has created diminishing returns in outreach [53:59] The #1 business development tool that still outperforms AI Martin's story is both a cautionary tale and an inspiring roadmap for recruiters who want to build high-performing, values-driven businesses that last. Guest Bio: Martin Herbst is the CEO of JobAdder, a global recruitment software company headquartered in Sydney, Australia. He sings.  He plays multiple instruments. He tells jokes. He writes songs. He creates music videos. He plays hockey, even at the age of 70. He's an author of short stories and novels. He's Wayne Faust, a man who hasn't held a real job in 50 years. This is part II of our conversation about those 5 decades. It's not easy to describe Wayne Faust's stage presence.  He evokes shades of Harry Chapin, Jim Stafford, Steve Martin, and Ray Stevens.  He dares to make audience interaction a substantial part of his show, including on-the-spot song compositions about his delighted patrons.  It is easier to state that our guest has for over five decades successfully entertained people across America and overseas. Wayne is a Renaissance man whose creativity includes playing multiple instruments, composing songs that range from novelty to nostalgia to inspiring, and authoring multiple novels.  Join me for a conversation with a performer who is genuine, talented, and gifted in spreading joy. In this special bonus episode of The Life Shift Podcast, I mark the 36th anniversary of my mom’s passing by sharing something deeply personal. Usually, I’m the one listening as guests reflect on their life-altering moments. But today, I turn the question back on myself. What would I tell the 8-year-old version of me – the boy who lost his mom in 1989 and had no choice but to grow up too quickly? I share a letter I wrote to that younger self. It’s about grief, silence, perfectionism, and the long journey toward finally letting myself feel. It’s also about learning that our stories, even the messy ones, can help others heal. This is both a remembrance and an offering – a way of honoring the little boy I once was, the mom I still miss, and the community of people who remind me that love and loss can coexist.
