Using a theme he referred to as "the Enigma", he depicts thirteen of his closest friends as if they were taking a stab at cracking the code. One in particular was given the chance to truly solve the case, but she never figured it out. SynopsisKaren dives into an interview with the engineer and creator of the Musicians Guide podcast, Jackson Zerby. He discusses his musical background and experience within the industry while also touching base on his personal life. Throughout the interview, he and Karen mention various tips and advice on how to create and run your own podcast. The Musicians Gudie's Instagram was raving about interviewing Zerby on a previous poll posted on their story. Finally, listeners get to explore this new episode packed with helpful information related podcasts- Zerby claims, “Anyone can do it”!About ZerbyA previous Belmont Graduate, Zerby studied Audio Engineering while focusing on producing during his four years at college. He recently attained his second degree from the same univeristy in Administrative Business in Music Business. Wanting to make music his lifetime career, Zerby began producing in high school and continued to craft his skill over the years. Today he successfully produces, engineers, markets, and performs music within the industry. 4 Vital Parts to a PodcastMicComputerSoftwareInterfaceWhile all of these aspects of a podcast are vital, Karen heavily pushes the importance of obtaining a high-quality mic. Zerby, with the same outlook, claims that while a higher quality mic may cost more it will heavily benefit your outreach. No one wants to listen to a podcast that is promoting music or anything related to audio when the podcast itself has poor quality- It is hypocritical in a sense. Karen takes pride in the podcast quality that Cubides Artist Services provides. She claims that because they target musicians and artists it is only appropriate to offer such podcasts. If a company wants an audience or fan base they must meet halfway and offer something that is of purpose and quality. It grows a relationship and trust between the company and the consumer. Starting Your Own PodcastZerby urges that anyone can start a podcast. It is truly a learning process, as with everything in life. The most important part is that you don't stop. By that, Zerby means despite being overwhelmed and under pressure you have to understand that everyone was once where you are at. You have to start somewhere, and sometimes “somewhere” is not the most comfortable spot to be. While not stopping is a key point to a podcast, starting is just as important. Just like any other project, the beginning stages can be overwhelming. With the four parts to a podcast that were previously stated, you already have a solid platform. Outline your plan for the podcast and schedule when you will finish and upload the episodes. Once you have finished all of the pre-production aspects of the podcast you are set to begin marketing and promoting your project. This is just as important as the preproduction and production stages. No one can view your project or listen to your podcast if they are unaware of it. So, sell your idea to others and make sure they understand how they can benefit from it!
