Doc Coyle is back on the podcast! He's one of our favorite personalities in the game and he's here to celebrate his first solo song release “Livin' On The Edge.” The song came out last week, along with its Falling Down inspired music video. We breakdown his take on a classic film and approach and the joy of creating a music video that references such a great movie. The conversation also heads into our love for film and filmmakers discussing Joel Schumacher, sequels having to always go camp with intense topics in masculinity, how masculinity has changed through the years and how classics films will be seen, and his preference of Tony Scott over Ridley Scott as a filmmaker. We also discuss metal fans being negative towards him being in Bad Wolves because of the elitist mentality in our scene, why he feels jealousy doesn't play a part in negativity towards legendary bands success, and his upcoming co-headlining tour with Pop Evil in North America. Petar and Brandon breakdown the week of countdowns that lead us to Linkin Park's delayed announcement and who the fans would embrace as the new singer of Linkin Park, Michael Sweet's comment about not knowing any Metallica songs, and the Cancer Christ frontman deciding to spend a decade or more behind bars for some craziness. We also discuss the Ex Man Podcast, and the journey he's been on with the show. If he's ever looked at it more as a chore than a creative outlet given his super busy touring schedule, as well as if he's ever been close to ending the show. We talk touring with Ice Nine Kills, how it is to come into another band and finding your space within an established thing, what he took away from the experience and more in this chat with the Bad Wolves guitarist. "It's incredible, man" is how Spencer Charnas from Ice Nine Kills responded to touring with Metallica. That's the last time he was in the Detroit area when that tour played Ford Field. Well, he's coming back this weekend to sign autographs and take photos with fans at Astronomicon. That happens in Livonia, Michigan April 12-14th at the Burton Manor. He recalled the first show he saw from the Metal Legends back in Boston. He said they treat the band very well on tour. They have more Metallica dates left with them this year. "It's going to be quite a summer" He told me the band is always writing and visual aspects for the band. "We're constantly in creative mode" "Never" is how he answered the question of if he ever gets pushback for "using" some famous horror movie characters. He said he's become friends with some of the people responsible for these films and Ice Nine Kills is helping to promote the movies. I'm a horror fan so we did talk about some of the latest ones out right now. He also told me what sparked his love of the genre. Believe it or not, even though they're from the same part of the country, he's never met Rob Zombie. He spoke to the love he has for his movies. "I think some of the stuff he does is truly brilliant". Guitarist, Doc Coyle told me to ask him about the tuxedo place they get their suits from. He spoke to how Doc has stepped in and helped the band out. "He's an incredibly talented guy, and it was so good to have him out" Spencer's appearance is sponsored by Rock City Music Company in Livonia.

On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Josh Bauserman and Dave Fulford-Brown of Royalty Kult! Josh and Dave's friendship and music partnership goes back more than a decade, as both were formerly in the band Interim Divine. The duo launched Royalty Kult in June 2020, and built a name for the band in the Los Angeles scene with their cinematic blend of hard rock and alternative metal. Over the years, they've shared the stage with the likes of Soulfly, Gemini Syndrome, and headlined multiple shows at the historic Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip. In December 2020, Royalty Kult released their debut album entitled Enjoying the End, the title track of which featured Doc Coyle (The Ex-Man with Doc Coyle podcast, Bad Wolves, God Forbid, Vagus Nerve). Since that time, Royalty Kult has dropped multiple singles and music videos, the latest of which is "The Dying." Released on 1/26/24, the heartfelt track features the late Jeff Sills, a close friend of Royalty Kult. On this episode, Josh and Dave speak with Mike about their friendship and music partnership, what it was like building a band in the LA music scene, Josh's relocation to Nashville, their moving tribute to Jeff Sills in the video for "The Dying," persevering through tragedy and difficult times, what's on deck for Royalty Kult in 2024, and more. BAD WOLVES and GOD FORBID guitarist Doc Coyle joins us again on the latest edition of The Loaded Radio Podcast This week, we have an exclusive interview with BAD WOLVES' guitarist, Doc Coyle. BAD WOLVES has returned with their fourth studio album, "Die About It," their second to feature their second vocalist, Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz, formerly of THE ACACIA STRAIN. DL joined the band in 2021 after a tumultuous split with the original lead vocalist, Tommy Vext. Although the band's lineup has evolved since their inception and their breakthrough cover of THE CRANBERRIES' "Zombie," Laskiewicz's robust, powerful vocals have seamlessly filled the void left by Vext, which manages to preserve the band's signature sound so well. As for Doc Coyle's other project, GOD FORBID, the New Jersey-based melodic thrash-metal band reunited for a momentous performance at last year's Blue Ridge Rock Festival on September 10, 2022 at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia. This marked GOD FORBID's first live appearance in over nine years. Since then, the band has made occasional appearances at events like LAMB OF GOD's "Headbangers Boat". In addition to his work with BAD WOLVES and GOD FORBID, Doc Coyle has been on the road recently with the horror-themed metalcore act ICE NINE KILLS, filling in for guitarist Dan Sugarman due to medical reasons, which has kept the musician exceptionally busy. And, let's not forget about his other musical venture, THE WEDDING BAND, which boasts notable members Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo from the legendary band METALLICA. In the podcast, Doc discusses the new BAD WOLVES album "Die About It", what's happening with GOD FORBID, touring with METALLICA and much, much more.

This week, Doc Coyle is back on the show! During our chat, we discuss all his projects, including the latest opus from Bad Wolves Die About It. We also chat about the vinyl reissue of the classic God Forbid album IV: Constitution of Treason and his voice in the scene with The Ex-Man Podcast. Other topics of discussion include escapism through entertainment and how that can be detrimental if not checked on occasion, our thoughts on having to be more than human as an entertainer to get noticed, and where Constitution of Treason stands in his opinion regarding God Forbes's catalog. Naturally, we also talk about Bad Wolves and the challenges thatband encountered during the Dear Monsters record cycle, and why Die About It is a very important record to the future of Bad Wolves. Petar goes solo this week and answers a fan's question on what is the best year of music in the 1990's according to him, what tragic event changed everything for popular heavy music in that decade, and why that year will always stand above the rest. You probably know Doc Coyle from the chart-topping rock band Bad Wolves or his podcast The Ex-Man or his first band God Forbid or maybe you saw him playing guitar in Ice Nine Kills and Lamb of God. Either way, if you're a fan of heavy music, you're familiar with Doc. On this episode we figure out if Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween or Christmas movie, if he'll ever call it WWE, what it's like touring with Metallica, cancel culture, the Tommy Vext drama and more. ------------ Theme Music by: LOVELESS https://open.spotify.com/artist/1MP7xlABJ13LtmHfG77SCJ?si=rfxQEIRmQhymL9BCnl13Yg TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@jesealee Instagram https://www.instagram.com/jesealee/ YouTube https://youtube.com/@JeseaLee Podcast on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/5ptN7bPT8MEYf3W1J28fAK?si=e2a2f7cc56904cd4 Spotify Playlists: https://open.spotify.com/user/1281170391?si=f063098bbc4a4c7f Subscribe to my newsletter: https://jesealee.substack.com/ Merch: https://my-store-11455576.creator-spring.com/ Everything else: https://www.jesealee.com/ --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jesea-lee/message
Get them snapping fingers ready, because we got Tommy Victor of Prong on the podcast this week to celebrate the release of State of Emergency. During our chat, we discuss the band's recent push in releasing five albums in five years after taking a creative break. Tommy also riffs on his preference to write everything himself, how his values in life have changed after becoming a father, and his excitement level of playing classic Prong albums in their entirety. We also enter a bit of a philosophical conversation about feeling a bit disconnected to people who need instant gratification in life, what tools of modern live performances he prefers to avoid, and how important it was to be respectful to older musicians when he was coming up in the scene. Petar and Sylvia discuss Doc Coyle of Bad Wolves calling out the online attack and boycott efforts on Thy Art Is Murder after they replaced vocalist CJ McMahon, and how we are in love with the idea of Primus, Puscifer, and A Perfect Circle concept behind the Sessanta Tour.
